The owner of the White Sox was notoriously bad about paying his players next to nothing. Many baseball players actually worked a job outside of playing baseball to support themselves. In 1919, the white Sox went up against the Cincinnati Reds in the World Series, with many people betting on the Sox to win it. The story goes that Jackson, along with 7 other White Sox players took money from a well known gangster to throw the World Series. However, Jackson batted .348 and had the series only home run..causing many to believe he never took the money at all. However all 8 players were found guilty, and banished from baseball.

  • As someone who’s worked for companies and organizations widely thought to only hire the absolute smartest people in the world, people are way stupider than everyone thinks, you’d only think of freezing the envelope in hindsight, pretty much no one would come up with that as an idea

  • I'm not interested in sports but its very informative. Zach should be Ryan's partner in crime when it comes to sports. Shane is a good fit when it comes to unsolved crimes/paranormal/supernatural topics. Hands down!
