How to Raising Millions of Duck on Rice Field For Meat - Free range Duck Farming Technique

2023 ж. 3 Мау.
10 264 845 Рет қаралды

At a farm in central Thailand, an army of 10,000 ducks isn't just out for a stroll - it's on the hunt.
Rice farmers in Thailand are enlisting these birds, called "field chasing ducks" to eat their way through rice paddies after a harvest. They help eat golden apple snails and the remains of unwanted rice husks that remain in the field from the last harvest. The ducks also step on the rice stubble to flatten the ground and that makes it easier to plow.

  • Such an amazing way of farming rice & duck. Each complements the other, sustainable and earth-friendly. The ducks cultivate the rice field when they feed themselves. This should be the model of the modern way of farming.

  • Fascinating approach! Integrating duck farming with rice fields is a brilliant example of sustainable agriculture. It's impressive to see how such techniques can not only provide meat but also contribute to the health of the rice paddies. Would love to learn more about the mutual benefits for both ducks and rice cultivation in this free-range system.

  • These number of duck' s population will give so much fertility benefits to the farm lands as these flocks will simply irradicate snails , which snails consume the natural fertilizers and even commercial fertilizers , as snails shell grow faster with the presence of negatively and positively charged ions found the moistened soil , not only that , ducks have also huge amount of fecal discharges that fertilizers back the land

  • Ingenious! I wonder if any of the same ducks from a particular field ever end up on a plate with rice also from the same field? Wouldn't that be something?!! But, who knows? It's kind of sad that the ducks have to go to killing and processing places, but people need food, too, and meat is protein not readily available from other sources. Personally, I don't like the taste of duck, although I realize many people do, so this is a good technique to supply duck meat for them. Thanks for the informational video, I learned something I hadn't known before.

    • I don’t think that was their intention. You do realize that ducks are not humanly killed in the wild right? And how else do you think a company is to farm an animal completely humanly? These farms have to produce such large portions of meat in order to feed the country they are in. If you let crap like this stop you from eating food that you’re supposed to eat as a human.. then you need to thicken your skin. As for me, I will continue to eat duck.

  • Ducks for China market? I'd love to have your ducks in American supermarkets too. Slow roasted duck is delicious, but not readily available and when it is for sale, very very expensive.
