  • Growing rice on floating rafts is a really good idea. Lakes Tanganiyka and Malawi would be ideal for the development of fresh water aquaculture and floating rice paddies.

    • It’s called the raft method and can work in either hydroponic or aquaponic systems. In the case of the lake, if there are fish present, it’s probably best called aquaponics.
