They have said this alot in the past too and then gave us boring stuff like Drug wars and San Andreas Mercenaries 🤦🏻♀️. The hype was insane behind these updates due to the way Rockstar worded things on their newswire but these turned out to be huge disappointments upon release.

I think what GTA needs is the update that rebalances old content. There's so much cool stuff that cannot be used in any situation because of design flaws. Cool armed vehicles with no armor or other defensive stuff are the prime example. Also 4:30 was smooth

The “POLGREENWOOD” is exactly what I’m hoping for soon. A police variant of the Greenwood? Man oh man, remember that scene in The Terminator (1984) where The Terminator is scanning, looking for Sarah and Reese in that parking lot, until It spots them, and chases them down until It totals the cop car straight into the wall? Tragic end to the car but such an iconic scene.

If the reason we haven't been able to play as a cop yet is that we are supposed to be criminals, then at least let us play as dirty cops. Nothing scummier than corruption. Also I want a player owned police helicopter just because.
I think this is the main reason actually. The most moral cop in any GTA is Vincent, who employees a mass murderer....and does so because the other cops are so corrupt. Cops in GTA are pure evil. That narrative especially coming into this election would be very hot especially because Trump already poked at restarting the moral crusade against video games and after the GTA 6 trailer all the bullshit "Why would you play a game about killing cops?" Podcast talks started. They're obviously not afraid to criticize cops, infact most rockstar narratives are explicitly anti cop/authority, but during that time it could have legitimately got the game banned or at least a ton of backlash from people more power than sense
I think it would be nice to have some content in the desert, rather than constantly going around the city but might just be me
I still think Michael’s update should be a mix of the og heists (where it consists of 5 different heists) and the Vice City Stories movie missions where you do stunts and shit for a movie. Do set ups for each movie, star in them, and maybe watch it.

What would be interesting as an update would be an expansion for the LS tuners class/ drift class. I feel that both of these classes have a lot of potential to add previously released cars into them.
Also it would be cool if EVERY tuner/drift car had the drift suspension

If R* want as many players subbing to GTA+ as possible, why haven't they extended the "Expanded & Enhanced" version of the game to PC? I don't think they're really that bothered about it, to be honest....

At this point, the only things I'd wanna see added to GTA Online are as follows: - the LSPD Buffalo, Sheriff SUV, FIB Buffalo, FIB Granger, Police Bike, and Police Maverick being made available for purchase - new variants of the LSPD Interceptor and Transporter Van that are highly customizable similar to the Stanier LE and Gauntlet Interceptor - Quality of Life overhaul to Biker Businesses (and Bunker) to reduce the maximum number of vehicles to sell from lower end operations, and/or allowing players to choose how much Stock they wish to sell at a given time - A new staff member for Vehicle Warehouses that can source a random car for a fee, similar to Lupe and Rooster McCraw from their respective properties. - Security and Staff upgrades for CEO Crate Warehouses - Overhaul to the Security Upgrade where instead of reducing the chance of Raids on your business properties, you are called/texted with the option to handle the Raid yourself, or to pay your security staff to deal with it

A Michael DLC AND a Cops & Crooks DLC together would be awesome to keep hype up until a winter 2024 DLC comes out. One that could either be something that unifies all the previous DLCs in some way or something that acts as a bridge between GTA Online and GTA Online 2, getting your character prepped for their move to Vice City or something. Maybe both? Picture a movie update in the summer that starts out with Franklin and the contract DLC which features Michael as a long time friend. Then also Vincent teams up with Franklin too and starts the Cops/Crooks DLC from there. 2 new heist/missions from Franklin that features Michael and Vincent independently but using the office from the contract DLC. These 2 new contracts would keep content and hype going until winter...easily. Then in winter, theres a DLC that brings it all together! Like something that would require Lester & Pavel to team up to take down Clifford 2.0 or something. Or El Rubio's revenge where he hires Lester to find who keeps robbing him but gets double crossed when he finds out it was you and Pavel. But all this comes to a head when it involves a protagonist or antagonist that will be a starter contact in Vice City and offers you a way to migrate your character to GTA Online 2 whenever that comes out. Giving the players to either start anew in Vice City or make the move with a wealth of assets from selling their businesses & cars from San Andreas so you don't have to start from scratch. I don't know, I'd like to see something that really kicks ass this summer and then something that really blows us away like that. So we can continue our 10+ year story we've lived in some wild way. Bookending it and simultaneously prepping us for the hype of GTA 6 and GTA Online 2.
I just want an answer to why we've got vehicles like the Oppressor MKII, Deluxo, Stromberge, Toreador, and the weapons like the Unholy Hellbringer, Widowmaker, Up-N-Atomizer. I think that the last DLC should be the one that answers those questions and explains why we see UFOs in October alongside finally ending Clifford for good. I think that Clifford still has a copy of himself out in there just plotting his next move wisely. Maybe we could even get our own Advanced AI that could give aid in any mission we start up with maybe even more futuristic gear like a EMP Pulse Pistol that fires a EMP with the cooldown of the Up-N-Atomizer or Stun Pistol. We could even see new armor that is much more effective alongside maybe drones that could aid us in sell missions for Invite Only Sessions. But Hey that is my speculation as to what the final DLC maybe.

I blew over $100 million buying and building cop cars with the last dlc. Built a marked Stanier LE and a Guantlet Interceptor with unique color combinations for each of the department livery options. (Black and white for LSPD, solid brown for the Sheriff's office, blue and silver for Paleto Bay, etc.) Built multiple unmarked Staniers and Gauntlets as well. I hope they do add all of these cop cars so I can blow $100 million more. Gonna turn two of my floors at the Vinewood Garage into a multi- agency police motor pool. One change I'd like to see (since I'm spending all these GTA dollars) is the ability to use the police cars in missions, like the pay phone hit where you have to chase the pop star until he crashes. Or if you use a police car when committing a crime, it automatically reduces your wanted level by one star. Stuff like that.

What's next? Probably not much, but like you said they'll keep making updates at least till GTA6 comes out. What I want is more HSW on OG vehicles, more drift cars, more Imani tech cars, more Police vehicles, preferrably some with explosive resistant armor. Also Ghillie your Vincent impression had me rolling 😂

That last part is probably why they might do a police update. Vincent in the finale will sometimes say how much better you are than even NOOSE and will literally ask straight up if you want a 'career change' because he wants you as a cop helping out lol. And he's dead serious.

If I had to guess, there will be new building that you have to buy and then a vehicle. Then upgrade them both in order to be cool down of when you can sell x item that has to be resupplied.

In the event that a "cops n crooks" update is implemented, I think it would be beneficial to incorporate a registration option for police officers, similar to the existing CEO or MC President registration process. This would allow for the color-coding of player dots based on the severity of crimes committed, with red indicating murder and other serious offenses, and green, blue, orange, etc. representing lesser crimes. By implementing this system, law enforcement officers can enforce the law while ensuring that non-criminal players are protected from unwarranted harm. For instance, if a player with a red dot (indicating murder) is apprehended by the police, their dot would revert to white until they commit another crime. This mechanism would help prevent abuse of power by players acting as police officers and ensure a fair and balanced gaming experience for all.

I think Rockstar teased the next Update as it is inderd the Cops Update. Remember the 1st Cluckin Bell Cutscene at the End where Vincent furns around while you got paid? He stood in front of a Police Poster where it said somethink like "Need a new Chance? We're hiring" or something like that, i dont remember exactly lol but it was a hiring Poster. And it only appeared in the 1st Cutscene, at the 2nd one its completely gone. Maybe its nothing but why would they do the effort and make that Poster only to show up for a couple of seconds?

I'm 50/50 on this, Summer 2024 will have a dripfed mission strand that follows the Raid formula of having to do them in order - which sees us raid Fort Zancudo. They've been building up to something involving that Bunker since Summer 2021, and given we finally got to see inside the Bunker after 10 years in Halloween 2023 - but we officially have yet to see more than anything beyond a 5 second glimpse on an operating table.
I'd love to see purchasable mansions finally come to GTAO. We've been asking for them for years now, so if we get a Michel update, I think that would be a perfect time to do it. Perhaps that idea will be saved for GTA6 Online tho.

Its a Camping and Fishing update. Getting F150, RAM & Silverado pickup trucks with towhooks. New boats on trailers and caravans to tow behind them, adding new hunting & fishing missions and waterskiing ability. Lol
I have an idea. Michael is making a Race and Chase movie based off of gta 3, VC, or SA which requires real cop cars for scenes that the LSPD won't give to the studio because of all the crime in LS. So Micheal contacts us (haven't thought of a natural reason why) when we purchase a stake out facility with Vincent so now we get stunt man missions, a new movie for the cinema AND vigilante missions with Vincent. Its perfect, hopefully we get more indoor raids like stash houses for freemode, as a bonus ig.
The pending release on GTA VI does make me wonder if there will be one last update to GTA V Online, that would go all out?
I really hope this year's summer dlc is better then the San andreas mercenaries(last year's summer)

What is like to see is some kind of map expansion but I don’t know if that would happen before gta6 if at all
MKIII for SURE and explosive rounds for AR's and LMG's 💪 Okay but seriously, I'd love to see a police DLC with contract missions with occasional special missions appearing randomly (SWAT raids, stopping casino/bank robbers, escorting V.I.P's, taking out gangs, etc.) Sort of like the Agency. With a Michael DLC being a final send off before GTA 6. Where you help Michael and Solomun with the studio or just dealing with some problems. At the end, they reveal that they've been filming you doing every mission and making it into a movie that you can watch starring your character/ everyone who was with you.

I really want more air or sea vehicles. The category has been pretty stagnant lately, besides the occasional one-off additions. I can imagine an update revamping or adding new aircraft bombs to make them more fun or adding giant battleships which may or may not just be a Kosatka with a Khanjali turret on the front. A boy can dream.

A lot of people got tired doing that sh*t for 10 years now, they want a change of pace. (ironic I know) But the main reason they'd do it, besides literally everyone constantly asking for it is because they see how hilariously popular stuff like LSPDFR and FiveM RP are. That's why originally they planned on a police update back in 2020 when that stuff was starting to take off.

A mansion and TRUCK DRIVING CARTEL/MAFIA DLC. That would be dope where you can get a semi truck peterbilt, freightliner or a tesla one and you can have a car trailer where you can put your cars into. Something cool besides having the dlc like being able to purchase it yourself.
i think we need Chemistry Point/Credit Score/Labeling detected system using a score point level like Kind, Good man, Bad, and Evil, many multiplayer games already using this feature, Gangs feature for war gangs and making us possible to destroy some gangs bussiness, adding a list of available server including Gangs feature on Public server and possible to making own server (be a host) with some advanced player requirement setting, new upgrade AI System for cops in online server and New Feature games like gyms for booster strength, adrenaline pills for boosting strength and stamina, yoga feature for boosting stamina and stealth. i think thats enough or add yankton map for the last update of gta 5.

People like DCAwill gladly take another property (that's not GTA+ exclusive) that stores 50+ more vehicles. But in all seriousness, Rockstar "needs to finish the story" of online "lore" with a Michael themed DLC, or completion of the Mile High Club (which is less likely than Michael since there's some much assets they have in that one construction site). A property like mansions (should have 100 garage slots) are long overdue, some of our GTA characters have been petty criminals to grand heisters (either from the Apartment ones, Casino, or Cayo Perico), CEOs (and/or MCs) of the Los Santos criminal world (Crates, Import/Export, Drugs, and Guns), saving the world (in Doomsday), and working inside the system with the Casino, IAA, & Cops. These characters need the mansion(s) as an end goal of sorts. Rockstar can possibly reuse the assets of the 100 car vinewood garage, import/export warehouse, or the 50 eclipse boulevard garage as a basis for the garage. Edit: A Quality of Life change should be to let us organize the property list. Grant players ability to sell Pegasus vehicles. It's also long overdue & only like 2-3 are useful. They can even slap the stupid current system when sell too many we get less and less money. If you bring up anything with shark card sells then I'm think you're delusional because more people are going to GTA+ over those because more bang for their buck.
A cops n crooks update is absolutely what this game needs... It's such a shame that It had to be canceled in 2020 due to real world events, and I get it, but I feel it's ok now if they actually gave us a proper cops dlc. Here's to hoping, but I'm not holding my breath

Cops and crooks would be nice, Michael update integrated into the Agency's computer would be also a very good one, but I've 2 more that would make for an awesome DLC: 1: A North Yankton DLC. -it doesnt have to include the entire North Yankton, but a slightly polished, and limited version just for a few missions and perhaps it could be a visitable Island like Cayo Perico. Also the snowy cars are already avaible in high definition for Rockstar, they are in the game since launch, and the Yankton police car could also be implemented into the said Cops and Crooks DLC. 2: Liberty City DLC. -No, I'm not expecting the city itself to return, what I'd want are the cars, and maybe some special versions like an M3 GTR benny's variant of the Sentinel from GTA IV. And a few missions given by someone from either of the Liberty City story lines, They have already brought back some characters, I dont think its out of the possibilities that they wouldnt want more.

Isn't it already confirmed that due to the whole Floyd situation they didn't want to release the cops and crooks update? Considering that happened a while ago, it is plausible that we may just finally get that half baked update
Rockstar knows that we want this Cops N’ Crooks DLC. It’s obvious with the three police cars we’ve gotten already. We just gotta wait and see if they plan to capitalize on this. If they play it smart, they release it in the summer and make huge money from it. I don’t know why they’d wouldn’t.

Honestly, I only still play this game because, after decades, the GTA franchise still has no direct competition. With every update, there is so much missed potential and for some reason, a good amount of the content is never released and Rockstar tends to go back and ruin things players liked. There are still clothing items and liveries in the game from the Afterhours update that are locked for example. This update was good for attracting new players, but let's not forget what happens to players trying to clear up garage or limited hangar space not knowing that they must wait an entire day to sell another personal vehicle. I think Cayo Peric also got another Nerf. There have been so many it's hard to keep track. I wouldn't be surprised if the next update introduced some vehicle customization that was only possible at the Vinewood Car Club which requires GTA+ to access.
What next could they add, you ask? Why not the Burger shot Farm Raid? The Well Stacked Pizza Heist? Heck, a Sprunk raid! We need to wash down all that chicken from the Cluckin' Bell, right?
Hopefully what’s next is transferring characters to gta 6 online having rank reset and have the option to sell all your assets in 5 online for 10-20 mill to carry into Vice City
