    • No, neither of those two guys had a more impactful death on professional sports history... no one kows who Senna is, and Mohammad Ali was sick for a while before he passed away. Kobe Bryant was 100% healthy, with his daughter and a helicopter that never crashes suddenly crashed and killed everyone spontaneously. Odds are almost slim to none. This is by far the most horrific, and impactful sports deaths in sports history, if not the most impactful by far. Mohammad Ali still not even close to this horrific tragedy.

And for everybody who is says that “I can’t imagine what they were thinking” and stuff, I will just tell u how they died: so on a helicopter, you can go really really slow. (15 mph slow) most of the people who were flying helicopters that day were going very slow because it was veryyy foggy. Kobe’s pilot, was going 180 mph. Basically he didn’t see this mountain, and he just ran into it. It was a quick death. There wasn’t like a whole movie scene where it’s like: “we’re going down!!!” And stuff. This stuff is very sad and you should be educated before saying stuff. Rip Kobe 💛💜

I was a football kid whole life since birth, but seeing the way he play made me go out to my little tiny 1 hoop court in my neighborhood and imitate his moves all night long, even in the pouring thunder storming rain!!! Desperately trying to get that last move down wanting to become the best kid in my neighborhood! I’ll forever be in your debt Kobe. R.I.P to all those on board the helicopter on that fateful day. • story time: it was january, and i was at the nfl pro bowl in orlando. it was a fun time and all the fans and players were enjoying themselves. suddenly i get a text from my friend stating that Kobe passed in a helicopter accident. i didn’t believe him at first, because it wasn’t even on espn yet, only TMZ. soon though, an announcement was made during the game that kobe had died. the entire stadium was dead silent. people were crying. the game came go a brief halt as the fans and players took in the news. just as the game was getting started again, everyone started chanting “KOBE!, KOBE!”. it was a truly memorable moment and was a great way to honor him. from that point on in the game, players were doing Bryant related celebrations, such as a pretending to do a fade away after a sack, or when Davante adams did the 24 celebration after catching a TD pass. everyone was heartbroken, but all of the fans were moved by the event. sorry ik that was really long i just thought i’d share

  • As a kid from Ohio when I was 7-8 years old I saw Kobe play for the first time and instantly fell in love. The heart the hustle. He’s the reason I became a die hard lakers fan and I’ve been one ever since. Then as I started to get older being able understand what he was saying in interviews and what he spoke about and just being able to see the person he was molded me to be like him. I wanted to be like Kobe and I still do. Then I remember watching his last game instead of the warriors game and it was incredible the fact that his last ever shot was a free throw… just like how he started his career. I teared up a little know I would never get to see him play basketball again. And being sixteen and hearing his speech afterwards brought a smile to my face and in that moment I wanted to be like him. He was my idol. Then after his retirement just seeing him go around on interviews and drop gems of knowledge I would soak it all in. And seeing him share his love of the game with his daughter excited me. And then seeing him at the game where Lebron passed him on the all time scoring list was incredible to see him and Lebron dap up was everything. Then the next day I was at work and he had a little time to slack off to I get on Twitter and I saw the tmz article and didn’t want to believe it and when it was confirmed I almost broke down in tears. When I did get back home I did break down crying. I couldn’t believe it. My idol. The person I wanted to be like. Gone. My first thought was how we won’t ever be able to see him grow old like bill Russell or julis Irving. As someone who loves the history of basketball that hurt me. But everyday I strive to be like Kobe and to keep his spirit alive. Mamba may be out but Mamba Forever. Rip the greatest 💜💛
