Rose and MJ's didn't get me in tears but i almost did but kobe really did and im happy that they made the all stars about him basically. I felt bad for D. Rose though like he was traded from his own hometown as if they just lost hope in him but when he played for the timberwolves i am almost certain that everyone got hope in him again.

    • Kobe meant something to everyone connected to the NBA at the time. He was the greatest ideal of a man, of a NBA player who ever lived. LA AS A whole cried on that day. I'd never seen TV anchors loose their shit like that. It seemed that he meant a whole lot more to the community than 99% of the other superstars on the court ever did. Tracy McGrady said that Kobe used every mental and physical tool he had "maximized" He said Kobe is one of the few people in the world who could look back on a career and have zero regrets about how he played and how he prepared for games.

  • So many emotional moments. I'm from the UK and I never really watched basketball religiously but I have huge respect to those who play. The player who got fined for speaking out against those moronic refs, didn't deserve that sort of punishment. Westbrook being humiliated constantly especially his family is just disgusting, we all have moments where we aren't up to our best and it can happen anytime but for many people to mock the poor guy after he got drafted and had so many bad matches, give the guy a damn break! He's human like all of us, he deserves better. Anyone who mocks and humiliates anyone, not just athletes, deserves every bad karma coming to them. Derrick Rose also deserved better but seeing the clip of him playing for the Timberwolves and doing amazing is just heartwarming. And I've heard a lot about Kobe Bryant and how he was an inspiration for many. When I saw the news that he had died in a helicopter crash, I was just in shock. My deepest condolences to his family. Honestly all of these moments just make me emotional just watching. Like i said: in the end, we're all human.

  • D.Rose still got me so emotionally still to this days even after watching this tragedy of his carrier so many times, all the things he is capable of is off the charts he has the future to be the next Michael Jordan and he was the true Chicago Bulls he was born and raised and gave his everything to the Bulls basketball team, he really really love his home town team, and when he came down that's the saddest thing I've ever see in the NBA superstars break down, the way he was being dropped by the Bulls was even more harder for him to recover from, despite his injuries, he is still there but never the same again, that's the saddest part...

  • Chicago native here. Rose's trade still hurts me to this day. I remember getting that notification from ESPN to my phone. I was moving out of an old apartment and was gathering my things. I was literally taking down my Bulls poster where Rose had the biggest photo on it. Suddenly "dun dun dun-dun dun dun". I check my phone and saw it, I literally dropped everything in my hands and I started crying bro. He was without a doubt my favorite player in the league at that time. Seeing him get traded out of my hometown was too much for me to handle. Im glad hes still playing, but its sad that hes not the player he used to be. Chicago still has love for him, make no mistake about that, Trust, every team he got traded too, many Chicago natives became fans of whatever team D. Rose was on. And trust, seeing his 50 point game in Minnesota, I DEFINITELY got emotional. Love you always and forever D. Rose.

  • Fun fact: at 10:38 Kevin hart mocks Kawhi Leonard’s laugh. Kevin Hart would repeat this noise during the closing seconds of game 7 or the ecf that’s same year, but this time the laugh featured tears and resembled no joy. Kevin was crying. “Ahhhhhh ha huu huuu huuuuuu”

  • I'm a Giannis fan, but Derrick Rose, Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant's stories got me teared up. I HATE seeing people pass away (especially when it's a person that someone loves) or getting hurt. I also HATE seeing people getting separated from their family because of wars, dictatorial rules, etc. I was at one of my parents' friend's house when this happened. Bryant's passing teared me up, but what's more emotional to me is the world's reaction to that tragedy. What a sad moment.
