big laptop has lots of space for battery, right next to the fusion reactor. the adapters are only for starting the hydrogen collectors and containment fields. in all honesty there were smaller laptops featuring the same config(with a smaller screen) so the thermal thing is better on this one but it was manageable on others.

To be honest, I think it's gigantic because of the batteries. The laptop could be normalsized if you take only the components into account and no batteries
that's wrong....gaming laptops don't have the strongest batteries....the reason being is that they use so much power because of the graphics cards and the display.....

My Corsair keyboard has been through many spills and is pretty easy to fix.
I'd be more concerned about everything else under the keyboard. My mechanical has survived a coffee spill, but laptops don't generally like that sort of thing quite as much.
I wonder if they decide to refresh this idea using current gen top mobile hardware, the mobile 4090 with 13th gen Intel HX could feel very well in such a big boy with adequately more powerful cooling than what Helios 18 has to offer... Newer screen tech could also allow placement of 21"+ built-in monitor, and yet maybe the dual power adapters could now be limited to a single one...

Sad thing is in terms of performance today's Razer14 with 3080 will probably kick this thing in every corner while being small (except in thermal throttling which even then might still perform better in most games due to games not supporting SLIs much). Laptop's have come very far since 4 years ago.

best bet is to go with an asus gaming laptop and get the old one right when the next generation comes out. u get a decent $2k laptop for $900-1,200. i'm personally not a fan of them, but my friend will only play on fkn laptops... smh.
It really isn't close to the best... Acer is a generic famous brand for selling cheap laptops with low build quality. They might look fancy but if you look at components you can easily tell the they are build down to a price. they use nobrand capacitors, transistors etc... to earn as much as possible. if you were to look into the really high end laptops you would have to go to the less known brands such as MSI or multicom. Heck even a modded Alienware would have higher performance then this showoff laptop... If you want the best splashing cash isn't going to get you that far. research and knowledge will ;)

I have 4 GTX 1080TIs , 2 Xeons overclocked and 128GB of RAM and i cant get 1 fps! You should be able to run Tetris at a decent Framerate with the lowest settings :/ Don't expect too much im running it at 10 fps...

@ Linus Tech Tips - I'm looking for a professional graphics computer, as I'm planning to soon go back to school for 3d animation and visual effects. In the 3d programs that I'll be working (Blender, Maya, Autodesk CAD), I would need a machine that can churn out fast render time, especially with high-polygon 3d models. Would the Predator 21x be a good fit for this? Are there other laptops that can perform the work better? Thanks.

Anyway, I think the MSI P65 creator is far better than this, I'm pretty sure the thing in the video is 4 years old, and laptops have evolved a lot. I think you're good with any 8 core laptop tbh

If the millionaire became a millionaire, he's smart enough to realize that greenies may not know off-hand if a laptop that's good at graphical gaming performance would also be the same excellence for 3d rendering and visual effects work. (spoiler: 3d game = already rendered; computer graphics project = *_to be rendered_* ; greenie's potential hypothesis = might require different processes, which different laptops might excel in) "Anyway, I think the MSI P65 creator is far better than this."
