Love your videos! Keep it up!
Finally, a laptop proportionate to Evan
big laptop for big boi
Het is zo cool dat ze ook hebben geantwoord!
It’s so large that there’s even bonus kitty lounging space behind the keyboard without getting in the way of Serious Gaming™️
@@EvanAndKatelyn bet his big boi in more ways then one .... oh wait not that type of channel
This is obviously an incredibly practical investment. Now they can stream anywhere and not have to sacrifice screen size. Next logical step is to make sure this can go underwater. 🙃
I can just imagine someone driving to a coffee shop with a forklift carrying this behemoth of a laptop. Then slowly struggling to get it through the door where they are eventually able to shimmy it onto a table. They open it and start clicking away happily
Then suddenly, the table collapses, coffee is everywhere, chaos ensues!!! 💻
So they move to the couch and put the laptop on the coffee table since it's lower.
You'll need a coffee cup of the same proportions as well
@@AverageGamerGirI Yeah, maybe, but - that thing seems a _bit_ bigger than the average coffee table 😁... (And I don't really remember their coffee table, so - it may yet fit on said table 😄...)
@@CoPoint coffee tables can be three to five-ish feet long and coffee tables are are very so they should be fine
Now you need to make a giant backpack for it to go into, bonus: Katelyn could also fit in it and go for a ride 😂
999.99 for a monster laptop man that is a deal of a laptop even today🤣🤣🤣
@@SaraMorgan-ym6ue It's 3 installments of $999.99, which means it's $2999.97. Still, that's the same price- or cheaper- than certain Alienware gaming laptops, sooooo....
And Katelyn has to wear a backpack for the Supervisor 🤣 BACKPACK-CEPTION
katelyn struggling to stretch her feet under the huge laptop to prevent them from going to sleep is hillarious😂😂😂
You gonna break the big TV because you keep struggling to carry. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
My first thought was 'it can't be called a laptop if it doesn't fit on your lap' so the video ending with Katelyn having the laptop on her whole laps was just perfection! I love it!
I just now realized that thats why its called a laptop...
This actually makes it better than 99.975% of other laptops, because those other laptops all come with a warning, "Do not use on soft surfaces." ;)
This video has all the classic hallmarks of a good E&K video. Things being not level & Katelyn reluctantly accepting it, Evan being too happy about his 3D-printed sockets, Katelyn being mad at Evan for messing up the CNC-ing, being embarrassed for doing a project outdoors late at night... what else? 😆
- rt, rt, dddd, rt - various statements proving that it's "not that type of channel"

@@EvanAndKatelyn WHERE IS JOOB
YT recommended you guys to me yesterday. I'm full time solo parent of a 10 year old. Thank you for giving us more content to consume!!! Legit love you guys already lol :) love from Canada! xoxo
wow congrats
no child, but I enjoy family friendly content so they're definitely great c:
The amount of sponsors you two have is crazy
you guys should totally make custom keycaps for that massive keyboard!
Oh my gosh…. Yeeeeeessssss!
Then a laptop bag!
Yes!!! That would be excellent!!
Ok but can we discuss that evan did not get 100% keyboard for this build? Imagine having a laptop this big with no keypad. 🤣😭
I was hoping they would make a gigant custom keyboard.
How these two are not doing professional commercials, is beyond me. They're amazing at it
They are one of the few content creators whose ads I actually watch and look forward to. I also appreciate the bar at the bottom to let you know how long the ad is. I wish those a forward through did that. Lol
@@jedijenru YES! The entertaining sponsorships and the bar, I don’t mind at all because of that as well. I’ve noticed a few other content creators on KZhead doing the same thing but not nearly enough of them do 😢
They're clearly too busy building giant laptops
They ARE doing professional commercials.
Thank you!! We try to make the ads/commercials entertaining
This turned out soooo cool! Very creative, and lots of credit for the technical parts of building a computer and power sources to work - I feel like you don't highlight that stuff as much, but it is so impressive! Well done!
Using extruded aluminium on all four sides and then replace the plywood with aluminium sheats with some structural supports to hold the equipment inside would probably reduce the weight of the whole thing. You could then remove the back and some of the structural metal inside the screen housing would also help a lot. It would even let you reduce the thickness of the lid. You also missed out on having the logo on the back being backlit. You should also add a safteystrap for the screen so it doesn't fall down and maybe some fold out legs under it. A fun project anyhow.
Evan's dejected trip back to the hardware store is a vibe. It's also me, every time I do any DIY project. At LEAST one trip back to the store. 😂
i love how he abandoned the shopping trolley in the middle of the plywood aisle too :D
Only once? Ha ha, me more like 5....
Came to the comments for that moment. Too real.
If you haven't made at least 3 trips, are you really a DIYer? I mean, less than three trips, you might as well call yourself a professional.
You know its a good day when evan and katelyn upload
Especially when it's a Giant Laptop
what a perfect day especially cuz its a snow day for my bus area
I came to the comments to say this 😂🔥🤙

JUST LIKE ME
A quote that really resonated with me this episode was Evan talking about 3d printing the brackets for the electronics. "Was there an simpler way to do this? Maybe, but this makes me happy." Sometimes we can lose sight of the making process with ideas of 'ease' and 'efficiency'! Even with something as 'silly' as a giant laptop, remembering and/or intentionally doing things in a way that makes you happy instead of the most efficient way I think is a part of what makes creating and making interesting and fun. So what if there's an easier way to do it. It makes you happy, then do it!
*The cutest couple ever, idk how they figure out how to do all these crazy projects yet awesome job guys!*
This is the kind of stuff that makes the world a better place imho. Just a cool neuro-spicy couple doing everything my little kid heart could want to do with big money. ❤
Evan and Katelyn started with useful DIY projects in the home, then slowly transitioned to the most ridiculous impractical you should never DIY projects… and we were all like “yeah, this checks out” and kept watching. 😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤
Loll
@Avery Nelson exactly the same here.
Go big or go home I always say!
Y'all have to host a stream from the computer after this. That would be hilarious
haha technically we could do it!
I'd like to see that.
@@EvanAndKatelyn You really should! A lot of us would like to see it, and it's probably the easiest request your fan base has ever given.

Can we take a moment to talk about how amazing this is. I feel like alot of people see DIY and think 'oh cute little crafts', meanwhile Evan and Katelyn are building a literal 100lb functional computer 😮
This is amazing! I would’ve wanted to see more reactions from strangers watching you use it.
The way you've managed to make a video that is essentially "what if thing was big?" so delightful is amazing. Love you guys.
They could team up with the Make It Big team at Buzzfeed Tasty!
I'd love to see Evan and Katelyn collab with Martina and Hansi (Nerdforge). It's happy energy all over! 😅
OH. MY. GOD. YES! That would be perfect!
That would be amazing

Absolutely, I was looking for a comment like this
Could you imagine if you guys brought this to a library and started researching things on it? I wonder what people would think 😂 This is such a cool build! The joob on the back is the PURRFECT touch! (Excuse the cheesy cat pun lol)
Or to a cafe and do some work ^^
@@DominusFeles haha true! Anywhere really. I’d just like to see this brought in public and people’s confused reactions lol.

Great job. Thank you for the time and effort you took to make this video and share it with us. Greetings from Croatia.
That looked like it was a lot of fun to make! Well done!
Evan's laughter is one of pure joy and also of pure pain.

The laptop makes Evan look short its adorable. That's how you know you truly succeeded in making the worlds biggest laptop.
You guys put so much time and money into every single video you make, honestly you both just go above and beyond. (But I’m sure the supervisor does most of the hard work 😅)
we need more videos like this on youtube...happy couples doing stuff..experimenting on technology..some are ridiculous..😂..try something new....refreshing👍good job guys
You guys should submit this for a world record.
Yeah true
It costs like 10,000$ just to get one of those and they're pretty much a sham, I learned recently!
Yup
They wouldn't take it, cause this isn't a laptop,
@Zhuria It's a joke, not a sham. They weren't intending on selling them for real.
With that frame that has the logo sideways you can make the biggest tablet ever 😊 I also wanted to thank you guys for posting such great, funny, and interesting content. I love watching you and your creativity ❤
Fa real, watching them 2 is the perfect way to get ur day started like a coffee and cigerette lol
I think there probably is a market for something like this as a foldaway all in one computer and desk combination.
Like an old sewing machine?
@@mirandathepandakitty1630 yeah!
@@johnweems4586 I feel like that’d be great for offices or generally communal computers
The ultimate gaming laptop could be made like this. A normal sized full featured keyboard + a built in mouse pad, good speakers, a secondary display, a niche for the mouse to rest when the lid is closed, a gaming keypad on the left or right, depending on if you're left or righthanded. It'd be especially nice if it was detachable so it could rest beside you. Maybe a niche with a wireless gamepad that has a charger built in. There's just so much space that could be used to create something amazing. and it'd be more practical if it was built in a fancy briefcase. Such a monster laptop would have a massive battery and could even have hookups for solar panels/an auxiliary battery. It could have attachable legs like backpacking chairs to rest on your lap, whether you're sitting on a sofa, a chair or someone else's lawn.
I'm loving the type "A"nger from Katelyn and Evan's willingness to overlook alignment and general chaos in this build hahaha excellent
This has to be one of my favourite episodes of the, Evan and Katelyn Make Something Cool But Weird, series.
Hey guys just watch this video today and it was fun. Keep up that happiness and also spread every where, thanks
we definitely need a video of you going into public and using this, say, on the bus. or in a crowded coffee shop. and capturing peoples reactions.
I love this change up from purely epoxy/resin videos. This is such a fun idea :)
These weird tech/DIY builds are my favorite videos of theirs. I love all their more recent algorithm-friendly resin/crafting focused stuff too, but they actually used to do a lot more DIY builds, woodworking, and home reno, and those are still my favorites.
Katelyn looks like an adorable fairy playing on a hooman laptop at the end! So cute! And seriously y’all are soo skilled! Hope to be able to do that one day!
I wanna see the reactions of people when you bring it out to the public like the library or at school.
El doblaje es muy bueno, excelente trabajo!
I've never related to anyone more, than Katelyn trying to take the cap off the spray paint.
hahaha why must it be like that
Oh no, no comments, I'm fixing it lol

Heeyy chronic unexplainable pain gang! I've been in and out of the clinic over it this past month. It's nice to know that I'm not alone.
My mum has that. I hope tomorrow is a better day for you :)
You have to lower the inflammation in your body. There is a way. it is no quick fix, but a long term solution. It helped me a lot. You can look up the channel of sten ekberg who explains it better. There are many others like dr jason fung, dr berg, dr cywes, dr hyman, dr ken berry, etc.
Me too 😔 it's not easy, but you're not alone guys. Unfortunately. Though, it can feel like it sometimes. Love you all **hugs** hope you all have better days ahead.
Would be funny to see one of you try and use this in a Starbucks or university library setting.
Played with resin for the first time today and the entire time I was pouring, your little “resin time” jingle was playing in my head 😂
I’ve been following sing 500k, and I’m so happy you guys have come this far!!
thank you!
I can’t stop laughing. This is so unnecessary but I’m also so glad it exists. You guys are amazing
I love the finished laptop!
I am most impressed by the hinge.
You guys did such a great job on the resin knives a couple years ago, I think you should try to make a medieval sword out of resin. You just blow my mind on how creative you are!!!
oh boy do I have news for you
Katelyn is an amazing editor! Guys she even does captions! And sometimes there’s jokes in it too! Seriously, amazing attention to detail in every video!
Looks really good. Very cozy. It's not the color sheme I personally goes for. But I like it a lot anyway. 😊
The cut back to the wood section had me laughing so hard I scared my cats. 😂
This is probably the best video that demonstrates the absolute chaos that is Evan the Engineer and Katelyn the Graphic Designer.
Love to see @LinusTechTips try out a version of this - Would love to see them dive into the electronics aspect even more, maybe come up with a custom battery solution. Seems like a good Alex & Dan project.
Wow you guys this is amazing and you guys should submit this into the world record! Wow i have never seen anything like this before. IM JUST LIKE WOW WOW WOWWWWWW I ABSOLUTELY LOVEEEE! IT! GREAT JOB U TWO XO❤
Cutting the logo in the wrong orientation was a genius way to force the display to be mounted non-crooked.
The little feet sticking out of the massive laptop at the end just killed me, so funny.
This is totally insane! Lightning in a bottle project, good job E&K! (also, the shot with Katelyn's feet sticking out from under it looks like the laptop fell on the wicked witch of the east 🤣)
this is so ridiculous but amazing at the same time. I love the part were Evan is narrating why they had to redo the TV mount and you can her Katelyn suffering in the background. also, the shot of katelyn laying in front of the laptop makes her look like a kid compared to the size of the laptop. haha
This is the funniest project. Yes please. So good!!!
Yet another addition to their collection, welcome to the family huge laptop
The level of chaos in the intro is just a testament to how much more chaotic the whole video is gonna be! Love your vids♥️
Very nice job! You should take it to some collages and film some hidden reaction videos. That could be a lot of fun to watch.
You all did a great job!🤣🤣🤣 I like it!
That came out so good and the resin was an awesome touch! The only thing I would've done different is use PVC instead of plywood. It'd be a little more expensive, but would save a little weight and might stand up a little better to being banged around, which will inevitably happen if you plan on showing this off to a bunch of people from time to time (or, you know, using it, if that's your thing).
Evan and Katelyn should team up with Glarses to make the world's biggest desktop computer set up lol. This was amazing! Great start to my weekend! 😊
Kaitlyn has never looked more like a fairy or a sprite. The size difference to the laptop is so flipping hilarious.
Nice build. I actually want to build something like this but lighter and lower profile with an ultra wide monitor and portable touchscreens on the base for event work for AV operators. What are those hinges you used? I’m sure I can find them on the 8020 website though…
This is awesome and surreal-looking. I'm glad you proved it's a laptop by actually placing it on Katelyn's lap. 😄
🤣🤣🤣 Love This! But... especially love Evan's facial expressions as he gets the new plywood. 🤣 We all know who won the "It's Fiiiiine"/"I'm not happy" debate!
Very awesome, Good work and ideea.
This is the biggest laptop I've seen in my life. The video is very relaxing for me. I laughed occasionally, but it was a lot of fun for me. Thank you very much. Best regards
I've seen bigger.
I've always preferred larger laptops, but this is crazy 🤣 nice job.
You should ask Linus from LTT to help you overclock it :P I would LOVE to see you work on a project with Alex from his team. Martina from NerdForge made an incredible PC with them and it was literally one of the best videos I've watched in a long time, many people also shared those feelings :P
Oh gahd please don`t put Alex and Evan in one room. The jankines will explode.
Can’t believe I just heard about you. I have NEVER in my life was so invested in a video!
Y’all should have done glow in the dark resin or neon resin so it would glow like the leds?!?!?!!!!???😮😮🎉🎉
Great video! I would love to see a collab between you and Nerdforge.
Ok, so I just took the time to pause and read the words in their “websites” during the commercial for squarespace… SO hilarious!! And this is why Katelyn and Evan ads are the ONLY ones I don’t skip past. Just pure comedic gold!!
This is actually quite inspiring. I am more into woodworking and this is giving me so many ideas for inspiration to do something similar. I am going to be needing a PC Upgrade/Replacement within the next year, or 2 years max, and if I can get away with making a huge portable workstation, that'd be the envy of my friend group. I have different ideas on the approach, but thanks to this video, the inspiration is now a planned goal. Thanks :)

Always amazed you two manage to get through the chaos without weaponising half that studio. In fact you're giggling the whole time. Pretty sure my old lady and I would make the 5 o clock news if we tried any of your projects.
I've known you guys ever since you did the collab with William Osman, its so great to see how far you have come :)
Ah the amazing opera Flower Song. I love that you included it.

Thanks Julie! Had to get Supurrvisor approval, especially since cats love laptops
Its been getting harder and harder for you guys to top some of your alls older videos and ideas. But you have absolutely done it with this one. I freakin love it, great video and the finished product came out incredible.
With all the amazing equipment you guys have in your space (and future tools you end up buying for videos) you could turn your studio / garage into like a public maker space - have people sign up for membership for using it.
