I think the S24 Ultra started a trend. From now on, more and more phones will have anti-reflective screens since the response has been mostly positive. I don't know how but in future evaluations of screen protectors could you find a way to measure or test their reflectiveness? I think one factor in choosing a protector will be whether it makes the screen more or less reflective relative to a standard screen. And one more candidate I would suggest: An official Samsung screen protector (plastic film) which claims to be anti-reflective.
Except the OEM film does not live up to the anti-reflecting claim at all!
@@lcdat From other reviews I have seen, the OEM Samsung screen protector is somewhat anti-reflective, somewhere between having no protector film at all on a S24 Ultra, and having a generic tempered glass protector. Having cracked the phone screen once, I don't want to risk going without anything.
I actually wanted to comment the same thing since I just saw a drop test that the S24 Ultra didn't do too well at, cracked at waist height (cases are important for these phones). I have Samsung Care+ to get the screen repaired if anything ever happens, but that shouldn't be mandatory for all users. I feel like anti-reflectiveness, which is part of the reason some people (myself included) went for the S24 Ultra, should definitely be a matter of importance in these ratings for this specific phone (and any other new phones that may come with Corning GG Armor or any other new anti-reflective glasses). Another reason some of us went for the S24U was the scratch resistance being better, really not showing scratches at 6, only starting to pick up pock marks at 7, and full scratches at 8, so seeing that it's more scratch-resistant and anti-reflective is nice, but the lack of fall resistance is disappointing for GG Armor.
@@Emolokz I don't think the S24 Ultra is worse than other phones, and scratch resistance does necessarily translate to drop resistance. I cracked the glass on a Note 10 and since then have used screen protectors on all of my phones (not curved).

After using my S24 Ultra without a screen protector I can tell you that the finger print reader is extremely fast without a piece of plastic or glass on the screen...with it...not so much.
I agree. The only decent on that not degrading the fingerprint sensor speed so much is anti reflective screen protector from samsung.

I saw your video the next day and decided to go with the Ultraglass UNBREAK TOP Glass which is better due to it's drop protection and scratch resistance. If for some reason this doesn't work (bubbles) I'll return to liquid adhesion which I've had much success with. Thanks again! 😀

Nice review , it could have been better and complete review if comparison done between 2 different S24 Ultra . One with screen protector and one doesn’t have. 1. Do the rainbow test side by side with screen protector installed and with the one doesn’t have. 2. Do a side by side comparison of screen with and without screen protector installed . Compare while screen is off . 3. Do a side by side comparison of screen with and without screen protector installed . Compare while screen is on. Open an apps, watch videos, games etc to have a more sensible comparison. 4. Do item 2 and 3 while indoors and outdoors. viola! a more extensive and sensible review for the audience. Also strongly agree with other comment “one factor in choosing a protector will be whether it makes the screen more or less reflective relative to a standard screen”. which remain unanswered with your almost 2hrs video 😅

It's either the Ultra Glass or the Torras. The Torras has better screen protection, but kinda awful rainbow going on. The Ultra Glass still has great protection, yet less than the Torras, however much less rainbow. I was originally located the Zagg XT3, alas, it's apparently ass. I love the install of the Ultra Glass and Torras. I just wish they'd stop making to ugly as sin U shaped camera holes. It kinda defeats the purpose of having a full screen like we do. Shenanigans I tell ya! Probably going for Ultra Glass.
Would've liked some discussion per option on reflections/glare since so many reviewers have touted this as a standout feature of the S24 ultra's display/glass.

I'm really curious that other than Privacy solutions is there any way to cut reflections using tempered glass protector? I'm not sure which one to pick, but reflections are pretty annoying on almost everything I saw in person. Thanks in advance if you have recommendations.
This is a brilliant video. If there's anything I'd add, it'd be the drop test. Stronger screen protectors tend to not break but then transfer all the drop stress to the phone screen and it breaks. I think it'd be better if you place a glass sheet under the screen protector instead of that solid block.

Thank you for this thorough review, I'm torn between Torras and UltraGlass! I had Samsung's anti reflective screen protector that I got with the phone for preorder, but it seemed like a cheap plastic film and it picked up scratches easily.
I have always gone with ZAGG, as Best Buy will cover the ZAGG warranty at the store. I was considering the privacy screen, but I think I will pass on that one and go with the Fusion XTR3 instead, thanks for the demo, appreciate the information.

I would love to see the ESR tempered glass screen protector as well as AACL because they did really well on the Tab S9 ultra test (and I used it and had my tablet survive an incident with it). I also appreciate the "snyder cut" style screen protector videos because NOBODY does this, especially for this many cases. Glass drop protection is something that can only be determined by a true drop test and you're providing us absolutely VALUABLE information. Your chapters are a little off on the TV tho, dont know if thats a tv thing or what.
I put ESR on mine since day one. Super easy install, zero bubbles, very smooth and leaves a small gap for my Ringke onyx mag case. Only thing missing is it's not AR like the original screen

Thank you so much for your long hard work on these many different screen protectors and also compiling and formatting and consistent methodology. So much to unpack here. I can't say which was my favorite from my first pass. I'd like to suggest a few things: 1. Dividing screen protectors into groups: Tempered Glass, Tempered Privacy Glass, Films, and Privacy Films. This way viewers can easily forward to the section they're most interested in since we're not likely to veer away from what we want, IE Tempered Glass, Privacy, etc. Also you can actually chop a master video into smaller more specific videos that are more digestible than a 2hr video and also you can link each one at the end if that helps views and the KZhead Algorithms. 2. Fingerprint and Face ID emphasis. I would like to hear your specific personal experience with NOT NEEDING to re-register your fingerprints VS. NEEDING to.[Have this as a fine point maybe even a metric] To me that incidicates compatibility and usability and I'm sure other viewers feel better about screen protectors where the fingerprint sensor works without having to re-register fingerprints.[This is also irritating for apps that, because of security, require initial set up again because biometrics have changed.] Likewise some screen protectors are full body/face and cover the camera, and for these I suggest you again group in their own group, or at least evaluation, because some people want full body/face protection, but they also don't want to compromise face unlock if they use it. 3. Evaluations - IF you can honestly recommend 0-2 winners among each category: Tempered Glass Clear, Tempered Glass Privacy, Film clear, Film Privacy, and maybe just for winners, Best Fingerprint and Best Face ID without having to re-register. Almost like an awards ceremony or show this could be exciting and give viewers the short quick answer they may be nmwanting/needing. I'm not sure what your motivations were in spending the time and effort to make this video. But I applaud and thank you. I do believe you could make the content more digestible and possibly even get more views with just a little more effort in chopping a master video. You can still have a master video, however I personally find it difficult to find 2hrs to sit down and watch something through that is not an entertainment movie.

I do wish you spent more time focuing on fingerprint reader as many of the ones you stated it works on.... do not work with fingerprint for others and have horrible reveiws for that reason.... i ended up going with the ultraglass as it had 80% positive reviews and more confirmations than not that fingerprint works.
I use the ksleri matte glass. Best I've ever used. After days of using. The screen seems to get smoother. Finger glides over screen as does s pen. Haven't had any scratches. Choose this screen.

I've been using Spigen since my S4 and it's very durable. Then I use Dome Glass on my S10+. Now I'm using Dome Glass for my S24 Ultra as well and I'm surprise how scratch resistance it has more than Spigen does.

Bought the Torras case a month ago and installed it right away. Noticed within two weeks that it's already developing bubbles on the top left side-not happy about it. I'm using the original Samsung leather case, so there's ample space between the protector and the case.
Do you have any suggestions that are good with anti reflective coating? I just gotbrhe Torras and it's like a mirror compared to the regular screen.

With this extra durable, low-reflective screen, and protection plan, I'm not even bothering with a screen protector on this one. Plus the bare screen just has this super smooth, soft feel to it. It just feels too good to raw dog this one

The Flolab one was the one I was looking for. It does advertise anti-reflectivity, but I would like to see a side by side with the bare screen on the S24 Ultra. Great video though.
I have it on my s24u and its pretty great so far. Maybe not 100% as anti reflective as the bare screen but it's definitely noticeably less

I just ordered the Whitestone dome UV GEN FILM. I did have the Zagg invisable shield glass elite protector before, it said on the package that it worked with finger print scanner but it did not. So I stopped using it. I hope this one works much better.
You can't beat the Gatatol, it rated as third on here, Amazon has these for $12, nothing else compares for value
I bought the KSLERI Matte screen protectors after watching this video cause I love matte screen protectors. I did this even though a lot of reviews said it doesn’t work with the fingerprint sensor. IT DOESN’T. I tried both that came in the package and sent them back.
The torras was the best, I have the whitestone dome didnt use it yet my phone gets here tomorrow but it looks pretty good based on your installment great video 👍

Does the XTR3 have any drop protection being glass fusion? Or is it more film than glass still and wouldn't have any shattering? I currently have the XTR3 on mine and was hoping to see if it would do that lol.

Nah unfortunately not lol. The only thing I've found is that it helps dissipate damage, but nobody has really tested it. I think a good way would be having 2 pieces of tempered glass on a block, one piece with the XTR3 film, and do the drop test with the ball to see if they crack at different levels. @@Pandahhhhhhhh
I prolly buyin the spiegen one just use to it but looking for a good one that has that dust remover thing when u peel the film takes the dust off cause spiegeb i always have dust problem which is the best
@hightechcheck , You made a fairly large error on the Whitestone Dome premium glass. There should be NOTHING on the screen protector when you put the UV light on to cure the adhesive. Anything that's on the glass will leave a shadow when you're done. Since you left the square weight on the glass and put the UV light on top of it, that square weight left a nice shadow that will be VERY noticeable in sunlight. You should address this so you dont make anyone else ruin their screen
I just want to know where i can find the torras diamond for the 7.99 that it was listed as on the video. Even with an amazon discount and a 5% coupon it was still over 30. Maybe he isnt located in america, and thats not dollars.

Samsung one will be less reflective but I'm not sure about the protection. They're not glass so they should protect fine

You should check edge panels with the screen protectors. I noticed I can't trigger them because the edge of the glass is right over it.

Like many others (like @woofinu and @adventurenowtv7274) I wanted to ask you: since the s24 ultra comes with Gorilla Glass Armor, that is supposed to reduce glare considerably (and is presumably pretty strong) - do not these screen protectors compromise that new - lauded - feature? Which screen protector has the least glare out of all of these? It's not just about strength, smoothness and responsiveness with the latest Gorilla Glass. I also wanted to ask: if one has Samsung Care+ and they'll replace the screen in a day (for as long as one is paying of course), in your opinion, is it worth it to just use the screen without a protector? What is axtually the best screen protector for s24 ultra for fingerprnts scratches and dropping. I have tje spiegen i dropped is mayne a goot of the ground it hit the corner of my mous case and the screen protector cracked not very good. Looking at wsken and torras cause easy dust removal zagg ive hesrd is the best but hard to install. Torras i about bought its great one thkng i hste it bas a camera cut out
