  • Absolutely love the way that Gunn flipped the cliched "prison talk" scene. Usually an imprisoned dad and their child have a sympathetic heart-to-heart, but here it literally just becomes a scream-off.

She's so hideously awful and heartless she makes you feel sorry for the supervillains she abuses and kills. And she's a bureaucrat that's so connected and powerful that even the Justice League can't stop her. She's not supposed to be attractive or sympathetic.

Her creator resisted because that's not who she is. She's basically a Process Queen from the DMV who got jumped up to the top of the Deep State. Her entire purpose is to potentially kill the entire Justice League (if it came to that) by using the world's worst super-criminals as disposable deniable assets.

    • I mean Idris’s characters supposed to be pissed off and enraged because ya he isn’t the best father and he acts like he doesn’t care, but in his own way he does care. It’s why he’d be angry and why him spitting while being angry would make sense and why Gunn kept that shoot especially with Viola not reacting.
