@@connorbutler5900 I realise that they’re ‘best in class’, but I think anyone with half a brain cell would realise to bring in best in class structure at a club with no structure. People are allowed to be sceptical of co-owners who haven’t particularly succeeded in any footballing sense and have every right to comment their opinion on their scepticism.
@@Mufcw1999Man City's owners had absolutely no experience running a club until they did. It's about being lead by smart people and those smart people bringing in the best in class into each role, which so far they are doing. Yes it should have been done a long time ago, but that isn't on INEOS!
@@naf2038 my point still stands, if anything you back up my point. INEOS have had experience at running clubs and still aren’t getting it right, but like I said I’m going to just wait and see because I hope they prove me wrong.

the part i dont understand is why do we need to pay compensation when Wilcox had already resigned? Doesnt that mean both parties has already agreed to terminate any agreement/contract(salaries, benefits, compensations) between them thus can freely come to United? Someone please explain how this work.
I think that he will fit right in at your club. Just look at his profile, he is a former Leeds captain that coached man city and played under king kenny at blackburn.
Go for it, INEOS. Send a message to every single player and person associated with club that the days of United being a soft, cuddly touch - on and off the pitch - are OVER. The club must be touch, ruthless in ALL their dealings.
It is being said that the new technical director would play the head role in this summer transfer recruitment, because Dan Ashworth coming any soon isn't possible. So, it's great if Wilcox is joining soon. Ofc, we need new and better players but as a fan, I would judge this new board's capability based on how they manage the outgoings. People need to understand that "outgoings" is the most important thing this summer. Let's hope we raise some money from it and then manage smart signings (I don't want any player to come in over 60-70M, instead, get 2 players for half the price each).

Realistically we are looking at 2 to 3 transfer windows before seeing results. Patience is needed, all of our recruits are top class but they are not going to be appointed in time to make a big impact this summer. Next summer is key

There might be a pull to turn United around but our new ceo is a promotion for him, Ashworth is stuck with FFP at Newcastle and Wilcox is at Southampton, there all stepping up levels to the jobs.

There will be clauses saying he cant just go to another club for free. Especially with a year left on his current contract. It's not like leaving a regular job.

No doubt he was the man responsible for bringing & developing the likes of Phil Foden, Rico Lewis, Jadon Sancho through City's youth set up when he was there & no doubt we're bringing him in at the request of Omar Berrada who knows him very well during their time at City. We're bringing in the right people but question is whether we can get agreement reached with Southampton same with Newcastle so that both Wilcox & Ashworth can start work for us this summer like Berrada is gonna do.

Even after watching this I'm still not exactly sure that I understand what a technical director is supposed to do. All these different roles in football seem to depend on the club in question, and more than that they seem to depend on what people exactly are in other roles at any particular time. To me it almost seems like clubs hire a few different people with various different skills so they can tick all the boxes they require, so they can have a broad range of experience between them. And then they just give them the closest title that matches each person's experience.

I love how the smaller clubs are getting annoyed at United wanting their staff. Anyone with any ambition is going to want to leave Southampton to take a job at United if offered. Same applies to Newcastle!

Time to get real. Having the opportunity to work for and be part of some of the world's biggest clubs (ie, man utd, Liverpool. Real Madrid, Bayern etc...) is a once in a lifetime opportunity for these executives. Blink and its gone, and it becomes one of the biggest regrets in their life. So these smaller clubs, I hate to say it, should just suck it up and let them go. Take the cash, reinvest it and continue improving. What's the point of holding on when the executive's heart is already not there?

This means ashworth isnt coming for a time. Also it doesnt matter anymore, united is too far behind from the footballing point of view. Garnacho, martinez, mainoo, mct (his level is not good enough but he has passion at least), dalot are the only ones united should keep pluss onana ofc.
