I love the idea of building these kits OOTB, showing us not just the detail of the kits but also how well (or not) it fits together. I for one am very happy you are doing this series and hope you continue!
Thanks for the feedback mate 👍
@@MMScaleModelsgreat work on this finished model also! I have started this kit but needed to wait until I got all of the correct paints for interior and camo scheme :)
I agree, not everyone has tons of money to spend on extras
True
I almost forgot that it's possible to build an amazing model without aftermarkets... Great build!
Thanks, I guess it depends on the model as much as it does on the builder.
This type of format is what we most need in the modelling world, showing how vanilla kits can be built with no additional upgrades. Especially for new enthusiasts not looking to get full in on a kit with upgrades and simply want to enjoy the kit as is brought in the box. Great video, I wish to see more of these.
Thanks for the feedback mate!
Great honest commentary!!! I enjoyed your build. Most, if not all P-47 kit manufacturers, forget that this airplane had a ring and bead gun sight as well. The ring sight was located to the left of the instrument panel and the bead was located about 1 meter from the windscreen. In 1/32 this is obvious. In 1/48, it should still be obvious!!!! Scale photo etch is hard to come by, but any kit manufacturer in this day and age, should try to include it Again, very nice build and will look forward to your next!!!
Thank you for your feedback mate 👍
I think that this is a very useful format. It's nice to see something built out of the box to such a high standard. I hope you continue to build some more models this way.
Thanks for the feedback mate!
I would like to see you continue doing out of the box reviews and builds.
Thanks for the feedback mate!
This is one of the finest builds I have seen. Challenging kit but it is worth the effort.
Thanks mate!
I vote YES for more OOB builds/reviews. Pleasure watching you build this Jug.
Thank You 👍
I really like the "Out of the box" builds as at 60 years old, PE sets are a pain in my back side as I do not solder very well. Great review and keep them coming! Thank you!!
Thank You!
Your "trimming & fitting" skills are exceptional and your subtle weathering is remarkably realistic. Brilliant build! (Those molded in seatbelts look ultra convincing as well with your excellent shadow work)!
Well I gues years of building sub par kits has its benefits :)
Great video, as always! Please continue posting videos of OOB builds, they are very useful as kits review. Thanks
Thanks mate!
Great vid! I vote for more "full build reviews" like this one.
Thanks mate!
Magic, you’ve reached a serious level about painting and weathering. Merci.
Thanks mate!
You are a true encyclopedia in Modeling...it seems that a new trend is taking hold in which new brands release very detailed models that do not need aftermarkets and at affordable prices; I follow your processes step by step on Patreon and I think these works you do with OOB models are great, since they are very old school, when aftermarkets did not exist. A really outstanding job dude!!
Thanks You for your kind words and your continuous support!
I really like the OOB builds. Thank you for all of your detail and attention. It's all very educational.
Thanks for watching mate!
You are officially in my top 5 of the scale modellers in the social media world. Perfect build with intersting technics. We want one more,of the same kit,in bare metal camo😁 Keep "cooking" broter🫡
Thanks for the feedback mate!
OOB build and reviews are brilliant! As an amatuer modeller its great to how the kits look without endless hours of modifications to improve them that im never going to do
Thanks for your feedback mate 👍
Tip for your dislike of the glossy finish of Tamiya X-19 Smoke…add a little X-21 Flat Base. It makes the finish flat. Add light or dark colours to the mix if you wish to vary the colour of the exhaust staining or gun residue.
Yeah, could have had one step less :)
10:33 I've never seen such a well behaved decal. Great finished result as usual.
Thank You! The decals are of highest quality.
Magnificent work, museum quality 👍👍
Thanks mate 👍
Really enjoyed watching the build, fantastic model and great video. I was on the edge of my seat watching you apply the decals for the nose checkering!
Thanks for the feedback mate!
Reviews out of the box is very important, because it shows the real level of manufacturer's mastery. So, yes, I would love to watch this kind of videos.
Thanks for the feedback mate!
Full build video! I know what I'll look while having lunch tomorrow :)
I hope you have liked it :)
Magnificent review-build - the first I have seen of this finely detailed kit. The OOB approach is sound, as well as the presentation. Extra interest is provided by your comprehensive grasp of modelling skills and techniques. It all adds upp to an enthralling build with an outstanding result! Love it!
Thanks for the feedback mate 👍
Incredible results and none of this over the top black panel lines ruining the realism, that so many people seem To go for🤦🏼♂️ good job
Thanks mate!
Great build 👌 I definitely like this format and personally would like to see you to continue with your OOB build reviews.
Thanks mate!
Very nice build, am a big fan of 1/48 P-47 models. I like OOB build videos as a true gauge of what the model build consists of. IMO many get carried away with the amount of aftermarket they apply which is fine for those that are interested in such an approach but I feel this distorts the build for those of us that aren't interested or can't afford aftermarket.
Thank You! That is true, often times not a lot is left from the original kit, which is awesome in t's own right but cannot serve as evaluation tool for the kit itself.
I think the idea of building models out of the box is an excellent one. Please continue doing that. This kit build, as with all you builds, is spectacular.
Thanks for your feedback mate 👍
This is the definitive online build of this kit. I see others have tried in the forums and people complain so much about it. But you have shown that all of its problems can be overcome with just some careful trimming of the parts, and removal of the draft angles.
Thanks for the feedback mate!
The OOB reviews are great.
Thanks for the feedback mate!
Absolutely stunning build. Artistry in miniature.
Thanks mate!
I like your techniques very much, specially the weathering, bring the model to life.
Thanks mate 👍
Well done. The weathering and shading is especially nice.
Thanks mate 👍
You are not just a modeller. You are an artist.
Thanks mate!
Finally, someone doing an oob review. I'm here for that. I really like the format but also enjoy seeing what you do scratch building wise.Overall an awesome result and cant wait for the Razorback version(My favorite)cheers from New Zealand
Thanks for the feedback mate!
As someone who watches KZhead vids for information on kits as much entertainment I welcome this new format on some of your builds
Thank you for your feedback mate 👍
I absolutely prefer an out of the box review. It’s ok to mention specific aftermarket that would be helpful, but I’m really only interested in what’s in the box, how it goes together, and how nice you made it come out. Nicely done and thank you
Thank you for your feedback mate!
A great video, inspirational, and with loads of good modelling tips - with only an airbrush, fine brushes, inexpensive micro-tools combined with methodical use of technique, everyone can create something wonderful and exciting.
Thanks for the feedback!
What a great build. I really appreciate your honesty on this too, we all learn and grow with the hobby. I've learnt a lot, thank you! I have subscribed too..
Thanks mate!
Like the idea of varying your builds to include OOB like this. I learn something new every kit I watch you build.
Great, that's the whole idea :)
The video format is excellent. Not everyone has the ability or tools to scratch build parts, so the straight out of the box build is an excellent idea.
Thanks for the feedback !
Loved this format. Would love to see more
Thanks for the feedback mate!
I enjoyed watching the sequence of this build and the format outlines each stage of the process, Metodi. I'd be very happy to see further similar formats should you continue in the future. Excellent result by the way.
Hey mate, thank you for your kind words and your feedback!
Watched this whole video from start to finish. Thank you for going into such detail about the build process and techniques used. You also gave a great understanding of what to expect from the kit. Rarely do I see true out of the box builds on KZhead and it was great seeing what can be done with just the parts included in the kit. Looking forward to what you have next!
Thanks mate, your feedback is appreciated 👍
Please continue this style of build review! Especially for a new kit, I think it's far more valuable to show the strengths and weaknesses (and fixes) of the base kit. Understanding the oob kit only helps in deciding whether to use aftermarket or scratch build. I do love super detailed builds, too, though - just not in the context of a kit review. Keep up the great work!
I completely agree. Very informative.
Thanks for the feedback mate!
What a fantastic build. I really like the fact you’re explaining everything clearly as you go, also I prefer the full hour long length build format than lots of short drawn out videos. Keep this new format please!. Can’t wait to see your next built!.
Thanks for the feedback mate!
Sweet!🤗 I used this preshading technique you show on an old Monogram B26 & it came out AMAZING! It's time consuming but SO worth it on an OD & Grey paint scheme like this...
Thanks for the feedback mate!
omg what an outstanding job , i can only dream of finishing a model to this level !!!!!
Thanks mate!
Your more than welcome !!! that was sheer pleasure watching you build that !!!!@@MMScaleModels
Great video. I'd like to see you do the same format with the new Magic Factory Corsair
Well, it looks like you can see in the future ;)
@MMScaleModels can't wait to check it out. I've built the -1A and am currently doing a -1 birdcage out of the -2 kit and I think they're awesome. Keep up the excellent work and I'll be waiting to watch

I like the idea of just doing the kit.out ootb keep them coming
Thanks for your feedback 👍
That is a beautiful bit of work. Thank you so much for sharing.
Thanks mate 👍
Love it. Amazing work, that paint job is epic. Great format, lots of details, great to see what can be done OOB. More please!
Thank you for your kind words and your feedback!
Excellent build, final result looks great.
Thanks mate!
Absolutely top notch work.
Thanks mate 👍
Top flight work here. I'm also getting into more and more OOB building, not least because of the cost, although I never say no to precut canopy masks!! Really appreciate your candid review of what looks like a great mold. And again, great paint work.
Thanks for the feedback mate!
Well done! Pointing out techniques which were not necessarily successful is appreciated, especially when you offer a possible explanation of why something didn’t work out. Beautiful model!
Thank you for the feedback mate!
Grateful to have you back
Thank You, I have never left just now I take my time to make things better :)
Bravo! Amazing build 👏 🙌
Thank You!
Well done!! I'll be using your video as a reference when I build this kit. You are an artist! Beautiful! And you handled the challenges very well. Thanks again I always learn something from your videos.
Thank you for your kind words mate!
This was marvellous. It just shows what can be achieved with the kit. It also acts a tutorial for us less experienced modellers. Thanks
Thank you, that is one of the goals of this format.
Hi, It s a wonderful build you ve done here. High skill and very precise. Just wonderful. I like your weathering job with pencils that is very realist. A lot of tips here & there for all modelers. Thanks for sharing.👍🏻 (About the insert part bottom the left wing, here is the answer I think : on further thunderbolt versions (D-30 & higher), there is a hole location on this part for a circular landing light, and Mini Art probably has thought to mould later versions of the p-47d. On your model, a D-25 one, this landing light is located behind the left wing bottom wheel bay). Best regards. 🇨🇵
Thank you for your kind words and the cool bit of info, appreciated!
Nice to see an out of the box build, makes us mere mortals feel we can do it too. How about a mix of your detailed builds and OOB?
I think this is going to be the plan... quick-ish OOBs while I am dealing with the more involved project.
Very nice build Metodi! Really like the out of the box format, more like this please!
Thanks mate!
👍as usual I walk away educated and inspired, whatever format, detailed, abbreviated or otherwise it works. Gone beyond the typical to reference material. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thanks for your feedback mate 👍
Excellent work! I've got the Advanced Kit on order, just waiting for it to arrive. You're video/review will be most helpful! As others have said, these types of out of box builds are very useful! Cheers, Brett
Thanks for the feedback and have fun with your kit 👍
@@MMScaleModels Cheers mate!
Absolutely stunning 😍
Thank you 👍
My friend I've missing your videos... I really love your work... pro made! Stunning build... cheers from Argentina

I do like this format. This makes so much sense. I have only seen this format from 2 other presenters. This definitely is the way preview a kit. Weldone Sir.
Thanks for the feedback mate 👍
Great video, I enjoyed the out of the box format. I also liked that you were talking through your techniques and thoughts and showing all issues.
Thanks for the feedback mate!
Your camera work is fantastic! Thank you!
Thank you very much!
Beautiful work!
Thank you 👍
I really liked this. I think you did a god job. Honest and clear. Good pace. Good technical video production. Love the subtle colouring work for wear. And your hand shakes just like mine with the fiddly pieces. :D Thank you.
Thanks for the feedback mate!
Great job. I love getting ideas on hoe to fabricate pieces, etc. I had an “aha moment” when you painted decals that needed repaired. I was like: Duh! Why hadn’t I ever thought of that? Sometimes we try to overcomplicate things when we try to correct our mistakes. Great video!
Thanks for the feedback mate!
A work of art and a very informative review👍
Thanks mate!
You have done your homework! The original cockpit color as painted in the planes produced by the Republic Aviation factories was an apple green, best represented by bronze green.
I did not know that but I knew bronze-green like color was a plausible option :) Thanks for the info
Stunning build
Thanks mate 👍
Another work of art Metodi! Love the new format as well
Thanks mate, appreciate the feedback!
OOB is very helpful at times.
Yup :)
You have produced a fantastic model. I am at the very end of this build and I agree with your observations on the kit . If MiniArt can rectify these issues they will have the best P47 in 1/48 .
Thanks for the feedback mate!
Love the format, and a great result. Thank you
Thanks for the feedback mate!
Perfect, like your builds very much, keep them coming!!
Thanks mate 👍
Beautiful work! I like your painting application. Thanks for posting.
Thanks mate 👍
I love the out of the box format. I dont have the eyesight nor the time to scratch build all the wires and hydraulic lines etc. But , i very much appreciate the skill to do such work!
Thank you for your feedback mate 👍
love it , get the next one underway , ill bring the pop corn !
Its going already :)
Super build- thanks for all your hard work!
Thanks mate!
this was a great vid, thanks for putting it together.
Thanks for watching mate!
Brilliant job !!!
Thanks mate!
Amazing detail, nicely done!
Thanks mate 👍
Thank you so much for sharing your work!!!! I strongly believe that you did a wonderful job with this new kit. I will soon start modeling mine and you have shown me a straight path in advance. I also liked the use of waterpencil colors since I have also recently started to work with them and they are great for weathering green bases. Please keep on with these kind of models, greetings from Mexico!!!!!
Thanks for watching mate 👍
Absolutely beautiful finish, so many great tips to remember, thank you for sharing :)
Thanks mate!
Outstanding video, very well done. The camera work was great, very clear, your honest review as you went along and how you solved the many problems is most useful and will help anyone decide if they want to buy this or not. The end result looks fantastic! Build reviews definitely the way forward!
Thanks for the feedback mate!
I really like the way you shade and highlight for 3D effects rather than leaving it to natural lighting and perspective - which really doesn't work well at this scale in a room under a light bulb compared to a full size plane on a runway. Very nice!
Thanks for the feedback mate!
fantastic build
Thank You!
Great build and presentation of it! I like the format and you just got a new subscriber. Thanks mate!
Thank You and welcome aboard!
Fantastic work, showing many different techniques and pointing out the good to know areas of this kit. The result is stunning. There's only one problem. I now want to build this myself. I'm looking at the box in front of me ;)
Thanks for the feedback mate!
Awesome job!
Thanks mate 👍
Great work. Thanks for your wonderfull sharing
Thanks mate!
Outstanding work, absolutely mesmerising
Thanks mate!
Great job, thank you. Greetings.
Thanks mate 👍
Amazing build. Just instead of using the original part for the landing reflector I recommend to use clear UV Resin from Green Stuff World. It's much easier and creates the perfect reflector effect when the base is painted in chrome or super silver.
I wanted it to be OOB, also I kind of like the effect. Other than that thats a great advice. I have to try it with some.of the 3d printing transparent resins I have
