"...but if you're a detailer, you're not a normal person!" From one little league pro to a big league pro, truer words have never been spoken.
Anyone else notice how superb the audio mix is on this video? You can clearly understand the presenter even with other guys working. And the music track helps the viewer remain focused without becoming distracted from other shop noise. A really professional job editing.
El Chapo JP is his Instagram
Wow, what a crazy notion, that a KZhead video would have good audio. Should be common sense at this point, don't celebrate the fact. It's called a "lapel mic". Comes in handy for making videos for shit tube
@john flemming anyone can use a lapel mic , but not all of them can mix background audios , mic and background music at a perfect level so viewers dont lose focus from video content. understand the statement before being an ass
I gave up after the second interruption.
A good compressor levels everything out. Good observation. Some of these KZhead vids need a lil engineering badly haha A “lapel mic” has nothing to do with mixing lol
This is the best introduction video on polishing on the internet period
As someone who is continually trying to refine my paint correction and polishing skills, I'm always looking for information on the subject and this is the most informative video I've found. Thank you.
thousand dollars information right here folks!

Ive never left a youtube comment before ever, however this video has definitely inspired me to do so. The thought, effort, time and clarity of this video is great. You really help someone who has never done this before understand and grasp the basic concepts. Great job, keep these videos coming!
Keyan Jordan cheers! Glad it helped.
My dad was an autobody man for 50+ years. When a car he repaired at his home shop left it shined like it just left the showroom. He had one long buffer, large fluffy wool pads, a gallon of buffing compound and a jug of Mirror Glaze, that's it.
Great video ,shows the level of detail and time it takes to perfect the paint
Literally have been doing a lot of research on KZhead about all this detailing trying to fill the time and learning before I commit to flying out to some kind of detailing class... and you're amazing. You literally teach in a way that my brain can handle. I appreciate that. Thank you!
The more information and knowledge the better the result
This is going to be a classic to share many times. So much was covered that it will require multiple views to pick up all the key points. I really like how you initially covered all the core basics. A 5-star is well earned.
this has been by far the most informative video I've seen on this, simple, to the point and not overly complicated
Thank you so much Jason. You’re a blessing to this industry. LEGEND! More blessings to come bro!
Rotary polishing for over 50 years! takes a toll on the Human Body for sure. Great Videos!! Thanks!
Hi can u use buffer to Smooth out paint with McGuire compound
@@georgearnold7371 You sure could. Watch on You tube. Learn to use a Rotary polisher on a car that is not too expensive. I Like McGuires compounds. Polish at about 1200 Rpms to start.
@@benleone5800 ok can I use da to smoothcsone paint lumps out scared burn paint with a rotary *(rookie) trying to flatten out paint. Can I email u pic
You just shortened my learning process for like several years. The most invaluable info on this subject so far, right here.
I appreciate videos and cats like yourself. Your love and attention to detail are above and beyond. One can truly see your love and passion for what you're doing.
Thanks a ton buddy ...you just saved me $38 of a detailing tutorial.... I've also been doing this as a DIYer for some time and in just 40 minutes you addressed all the problems I had....This is by far the best channel I've come across on KZhead...Bless you man 💪💪
Great in depth tutorial ! Thank you.
I've watched countless videos on this exact topic and yours is the most thorough and well thought out yet. Also, one of the few that didn't bash the more expensive polisher while still informing folks that the cheap alternatives work too. Thank you very much
Jason, so glad i found this video. Haven't watched CAPs in a while. But you covered so much ground and did it so well...much appreciated. I do wish you would do (you may have and I haven't searched yet) some videos on single stage paint v. modern/clear coat paint. You've got me back as a regular and i can't wait to see what you posted since i followed you more regularly. Just awesome. Many thanks.
Thanks...it was very informative and educational, from a beginner's standpoint as well as a refresher's course for those that have been doing it a while.
Wow, unreal. This is the absolute pinnacle of the proper steps to cut, finish and polish, I can’t wait to do my truck now! Thanks so much! this video will be shared with everyone I know looking for info on how to do this correctly.
⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ I’m giving this guy 5 stars for explaining everything a beginner like myself needs to know! Very informative and simple to follow instructions....👍🏼 😆
Beautiful, probably the best tutorial on youtube, you really make it easy. Keep going with the nice work! 💪
Thank you for the step by step. And the thorough attention to detail.
Jason, great video! Attention to detail is greatly appreciated.
Great explanation on a professional paint correction. We learned a few things that will help. Thx
Very informative and organized and I appreciate you sharing your knowledge!
This one is lengthy... sorry in advance Huge fan of you guys. I am almost done watching every episode of the VLOG’s. I love the detailers secrets videos. Could Jason do more on how to pick the correct pads and compound/polish combinations. And another one on how to do paint touch ups on rock chips or scratches. I’m currently about to spend a few thousand on getting everything I need to start my own detailing business. And this information would be insanely helpful. I’m super excited about it. I have always been a OCD person and a clean freak when it comes to vehicles. I have been told repeatedly that no one around my area can clean up a car as well as I do. For example I just did a small detail and wax on a neighbors truck and within 12 hours I had 6 people wanting me to do theirs. So I figured it was time to go to the next level and jump into paint correction and full interior detailing instead of just you typical wash and vacuum. I always go the extra mile. I always seem to catch even the smallest of defects. And when I clean I try to hit every little detail. One thing I always tell people is that all those small details I hit that no one else takes the time to hit makes the whole vehicle just pop and look a thousand times better. So all that said I have searched many places and sites looking for the most informative and detailed oriented person or shops. When I came across Chicago Auto Pros I could not stop watching. Jason and his great team, to me, are the best in the business. His VLOG’s are jam packed with awesome information and details about how to detail, what products are great and those that aren’t. They are great at explaining processes and I can’t get enough. I have been told so many times that I can get a vehicle cleaner than when it comes off the lot. And that is with just basic supplies and make shift ideas to get the job done. So why not try to go further. I’m about to use my tax return to purchase my Rupes buffers, shop vac, pressure washer, etc. So please keep the VLOG’s coming. Would love to see another Detailers secret to touch up paint done right and how to determine the right combination of pads and compounds/polishers. Thank you
My hero! Im working with polishing for about 6 months, and everything you said is precise. I learned a lot when started experimenting more.
One of the best videos guys. You really learn me some new things. Thanks for sharing all these info with us.....
Watching you clean pads hits me right in the face, literally the first time I tried. Thought I was the only one. Having a vacuum with a "big mouth" is something I am gonna try next detail.
That was a great tutorial on correcting paint. Easy to understand and great information. I learned a few new tips that were very helpful. I really like the tip about doing a post polishing inspection and then marking areas you want to go back to with a little piece of masking tape. That's a great idea. I'll definitely be using that one in the future.
Excellent crash course , thank you for your time.
Excellent job on the video and audio, very clear. This was the best video i seen. Amazing info. God bless.
Great advice and vlog as always. Cheers guys !🇬🇧

Terrific post. I like the emphasis on what is in the budget and what the customer wants. It’s not all about what you want to do or can do. Nice to know I do pretty much as you do. I use Zvizzer compounds, polishes and pads. And SB3 for all coatings.
Great tutorial guys. Thanks a million
