  • Thank you for watching! If I were to pick out the BEST conditions it would be early morning with no clouds and a touch of fog giving perfect, soft light beams into the forest ☺

    • I have to say that your 2022 capture is just terrific, not that the current one is a slouch. I've kept my f/mount 14-24 f/2.8 lens also, it's too good to give up.

  • I think you need another episode showing you crossing a raging river with all of your camera gear. You can keep saying to roll up your pant sleeves too, that works I think. Great video, a lot of work editing!

    • Probably have to step it up a notch and film myself going over a waterfall to really get the numbers, know what I mean. This is a solid plan for a future episode thank you.

  • It is amazing how much the forrest changes in a months time. The images with the better lighting, calmer waterfall and bubble trails are far better IMO. Worth going back to photograph this location at the right time.

    • I agree, ideally I would only plan trips for the early morning and evening during the best times of the year. It makes a huge difference but it is fun to take on challenge and sometimes you walk away with a winning shot!

  • Amazing what a polarizer can do to your shot! The reflection on that one waterfall that disappeared when using a polarizer is AMAZING! Soft Grad filter is pretty cool too.

  • Great video as usually Matt. Its good to remind people that you can't always get the greatest light when you do this as a hobby. Sometimes you have to work with what you are given.

    • So true! Especially during the summer when the days are long. And for photographers who have clients with set schedules and deadlines, they can't always choose when to shoot. It's important to be flexible and work within those constraints to deliver great results.

    • Thank you Brian! After a few wind storms, there are a few fallen trees to climb over but the trail was dry which made the hike down easier. Such a beautiful spot to relax, take photographs and read a book on a hot day. Glad you enjoyed the video and tips, thanks for watching! Cheers.

Random question, what is the bag you pulled your filters out of (at 19:59 approximately) it looks useful. Edit: I’d be interested in a editing video. There is always some tips and tricks to be learned
