I guess it's just because 1. Nobody uses lingering potions very often 2. Even if they did, Turtle Master potions are relatively obscure especially since its effects are very niche and 3. When would you make a Turtle Master potion in-game? Most people don't even know how to make other potions, let alone TURTLE MASTER potions

The weird stuff with your health bar was probably from Absorption and Health Boost being constantly reapplied by the lingering cloud while you were being damaged by Harming at the exact same rate, which confused the UI.
well the UI wasnt confused, it was being displayed correctly, the instant damage probably applies removing the absorption and then the absorption is reapplied immediately after

I think the poison might not do damage to the absorption, therefore your regular health bars would be going down, so your last regular heart would be a half heart but you would still have absorption hearts after it.
Whenever I remember that lingering potions exist, I just think about how absurd it is that you're expected to collect _dragon's breath_ to make them. Like "aw heck yeah, I can't wait to go and fight/resummon the ender dragon so I can collect it's breath for a few _single-use splash potions that linger in the area for 5 seconds"_

@@Finalizor _That's even worse though._ like lingering potions are one thing, but the fact that something as simple as dipping an arrow in poison is locked behind a resource that can only be harvested while fighting the dragon is beyond absurd. Made even worse by the fact that it's not even a thing on bedrock (there you just use a cauldron and normal potions) and villagers can make tipped arrows with ease.

Honestly, the ability to combine potion effects would really buff the potion system that's fallen behind since 2015. Imagine popping a strength-speed potion for the ender dragon in one go, or splashing other players with a poison-instant damage potion.
That could be cool as long as they kept some cap for how many effects to put. It would add some new strategy to PvP choosing which potion effect to combine.

If you wanted a funny one you could bring back using a specific inverted corner stair block. Some minor alteration to the game that lets you manually place stair corners and inverted corners, something some people have wanted for a while anyways.
I think the reason why this potion itself doesn't kill the player is because most of the effects just get cancelled out by each other. The levitation fall damage is the only thing that can kill the player, though as seen in the video only sometimes. I think that's because of the order in which effects get applied. For example, if you get the Instant Healing and then Instant Damage effects, you'll be at a net loss of health from full, but if it's the opposite, you'll be back to full health (probably). Same goes for the ticks of Regeneration, Poison, and Wither, though having both Poison and Wither is more than likely enough to just overpower the Regeneration.
The reason why the hearts are so weird is because you have both health boost and absorption I'm assuming the health boost applies first, then poison and/or instant damage and/or wither, and finally you get the absorbtion. Your health will then be decreased, but you still have the extra hearts from absorption. Add the poison making your hearts look funky and it gets pretty confusing
You could make the name longer by adding commas in between each potion effect

They're clutch for minigame designs. I'm working on a circuit for horse racing, and I want to add -Formula E style Attack Mode Zones- Mario Kart style Arrow Fields, and I was just going to use splash potions, but the timing is basically impossible given just how fast horses travel. Thus lingering potions are probably going to be the way to go.
Lingering potions are more useful for the area effect cloud entity (like, the ability to summon an area effect cloud with a variety of effects, sizes, and particles) than they are for actual use in survival.
Well sadly on Java you need them in order to make tipped arrows (hurray for parity)

Yeah so, turns out. Potion of the turtle master is overpowered. You can take a charged creeper explosion without armor/armour and survive. So turtle scute (or however its spelt) is actually useful. Found this out through testing.

I just found out that all of these item names are so long, you can’t even rename another item to have that name in an anvil (on Bedrock only because parity is only a good thing if it makes things worse for everyone)
the weird health thing is because there are 2 different max health boosting affects, one which adds more regular red hearts, and another which adds extra yellow hearts that always in front of the red hearts, so your max red health gets increased above 40, then you take some damage, leaving you with extra empty red hearts above your regular hearts, and then you gain yellow health, which appears in front of those extra empty hearts

A very long time ago, I used command blocks to give myself two custom potions on my family server. One was an "op potion", which gave the maximum level of every positive effect for the maximum duration, and would totally cover your screen in gold hearts. The other potion was every negative effect. I gave the op potion to a cow. It was invincible. But I wanted to get rid of it, so I gave it the death potion, but it didn't die. It took massive damage every second but could never die. I felt bad, I pushed it into the void, thinking that would kill it, but it didn't. (there was no entity selector back then). So then it was immortal, constantly suffering, and falling in complete darkness and loneliness. The maximum duration for a potion was about 11 and a half days, but I didn't know that at the time. I thought all those 9's I typed would add up to many years.
