- im almost certain it was sourced from a 3d animation, points were taken, and transferred to particle effects in minecraft, through some form of script and then dumped into a parsable command. Its not trivial, but its also not like ur doing it all by hand either

- I made a simplified version in a private Minetest mod. It's not hard to do. Super easy and a lot of fun bobbing up and down on the waves! Makes fishing with nets... interesting. Not good if you suffer from motion sickness like my mother - she stays on dry land or shallow coast (I only programmed waves at certain water depths). This will be why Mojang won't do it.

Edit: Looks like most of the changes were reverted, but still it would have been ironic with everyone concerned about Mojang's changes destroying 2b2t when the owner themselves makes changes that ruin the server. I just realized that technically the water bottle is like the expensive thing the piglins gave you since all water evaporate down there so actually managing to get a bottle is quite the achievement but since we came from the surface water is one of the most common things

Honestly, I'd take the dynamite even if it's the only thing added in an update. Being able to blow up stuff from afar is really useful and it can also be paired with an arrow to be shot from a crossbow so it'll be a more powerful than shooting fireworks plus breaking blocks as well

The nether is canonically extremely humid. Piglins can likely collect it somehow, or perhaps they extract water from the mushrooms which are themselves known to effectively gather airborne water.

The reason why it doesn't use the U-word is because it runs on not Unity, but Java. And the reason why it refers to Unity as "The U-word" is because thanks to copyrights and whatnot they can't mention Unity directly.

Dynamite and TNT are different, dynamite is essentially dirt of sand saturated with nitroglycerine wrapped in a paper while TNT (trinitrotoluene) is its own chemical.

- They totally could switch these items to a more efficient format, such as just have one "Bed" item with encoded NBT to define which wood type and wool colour it has.

- @@MGSLurmey Internally, that's how it was for Beds back in Java 1.12 and still is for Beds on Bedrock. Splitting up the IDs of block variants is the preference right now.
