  • Planks being hollow makes so much sense. Planks and logs are made out of the same stuff, and presumably have the same density, but one somehow quadruples itself upon being crafted.

  • 6:21 i dont know how this occured in survival, but in bedrock there used to be a command where you could place a lava_cauldron using /setblock or /fill i think, when filled with water, it would look like a dark lava texture.

    • It occurred in survival because ever since 1.20 dropped, placing water in a cauldron does that. I have no clue how that bug was even made. Nothing in the update affects cauldrons, so how did that happen?

    • ​@@Kabslantivity2000when something is squished, a lot of pressure is applied on it Since 2 wood got compressed into a plate, the author of the comment said that it's as if so much pressure was applied onto this plate, that the reason it's called a pressure plate isn't because it takes pressure and sends a redstone signal, but because the 2 wood planks it was out of were compressed so much they turned into a plate there. I explained the joke

  • You gotta tear up both of those blocks to find the good piece of wood. That's why there's a bunch of particles when you craft pressure plates, buttons, etc. You can then use those scraps to make a stopper for a bottle :)

  • Mathematically and conveniently, yeah, I would love to get 32 pressure plates from two planks and 64 buttons from one plank. You would just have to change it's fuel amount in a furnace to zero :) Edit: If ya'll are wondering, 64 buttons because a button has the volume of 48 pixels but round it up to 64 and you get 64 of them from a block because 64 * 64 = 4096 = 16 * 16 * 16 or 2^6 * 2^6 = 2^12 = 2^4 * 2^4 * 2^4 or 6 + 6 = 12 = 4 + 4 + 4, basic math.

  • For those wondering the first post is a reference to an old gore animation involving an anime girl, laser beams, and viscera. The original post itself almost certainly doesn’t contain any gore, but rather it’s just a minecraft build of the aforementioned laser beam death machine. The original animation is all pixelated so it’s really quite tame compared to the other things you might see on the internet from the early/mid 2000s, but it’s perfectly understandable why it’s censored.

  • 2:05 I mean yes, the handle would degrade over time, but that's not the part suffering the most wear unless you're using your tools _really_ incorrectly. So it makes sense why the material used in the head of the tool is required for repair, rather than sticks. That said, you shouldn't be repairing your tools with raw resources anyways, especially shovels.
