    • Western politicians have become feminized. They are overly emotional and feel like they have to respond to everything ASAP in the current news cycle lest they are seen as weak. Putin is coldly calculating, and if it means that he feels he can do better by not responding immediately but by playing the long game he will. Western politicians no longer understand this and think if the response does not come in the current news cycle they have scored a victory.

Last 2023, a French think tank stated that the center of gravity in Europe has shifted to Eastern Europe: to Poland and the Baltic states, to those nearest to Ukraine. Hence, the sudden and weird turn-around of Macron who, until recently, was proud of his friendship with Putin and was eager not to humiliate Russia. Unfortunately, France doesn’t have the capacity to decisively influence the situation in Eastern Europe. Worse, he’s endangering France, a country many of us deeply love.
