  • Xiao zhan had problems initially with Zhang Jike. But they make a perfect guru disciple pair.Xiao zhan always praised Zhang Jike's explosiveness. He trusted him when others didn't. In every multiball training video of Zhang Jike with Xiao zhan , it's not just Zhang Jike who is practicing but in every single ball you can see the dedication and fire in Xiao zhan's eyes. He will always strive for his student.He may be strict on the exterior but it's tough for him to leave Zhang Jike. They both fought together.Every match.Every moment. Thanks coach Emrathich for this video.

  • Hello! I want to know if you think a table tennis player started playing in club 11 years old and in general started 8-9 years old, can become a professional player that can live of playing table tennis at a high level. I play table tennis 6 hours in club per week and in total 15-16 hours. I have lots of fighting spirit and I have just started analyzing me and others in my club, as you wrote a book about different styles. I think the analyzing will help me really improve. Sweden can be hard county and I have got a plan to train lots of table tennis with a good partner for each day during the summer break. If I can improve alot I qualify for the national event. I think that there are some touches I have to improve and therefore I have planned a long plan. Do you think I can become a professional table tennis player that can afford to live with table tennis, honestly. Sorry for the long text and thanks if you answer. Good bye! Greetings/Dima

  • Ma Long with Ma Lin as coach may the grace of god protect the europeans. On a more serious note Xu Xin could really use Ma Lin's help.

    @OPOD1999@OPOD19997 жыл бұрын
    • Actually, you really don't want a penhold player coaching another one of similar styles. It is clear that a player should seek various opinions to keep his/her mind fresh and accepting different expert opinions. Ma Long is almost flawless, but in order to go for his shots. In particular with the powerful forehand on his backhand side, would invariably exposed with more than half a table open on his forehand side. This is where someone like Ma Lin would be useful to reinforce the percentage play. So other players will not be getting easier points from his positioning. Penholder players tended to have a little bit better footwork because the backhand side tended to be weaker problem even with RPB. Also with the new ABS plastic ball. It would be slower and has less impact on the spins generated. Therefore, in order to keep the so-called "Chinese" advantage, players needed even better footwork and generating even more power to achieve the similar effect with the old celluloid ball. This would only help the Chinese team as they are the only country with the experience and the depth with 'personal' coaches who were also World Champions in their own right. That's why they are head and shoulders above anyone in this sport I am afraid.

    • Yes i know its easy. Nevertheless i have many questions about the management of the women national team..Why did they force Ding Ning to be the new number one in the same time that Liu Shiwen is obviously better player? I don't beleive that Cheng Meng beat Liu in the semi final in Wu Xi because she was inferior but because she was told to do so. Liu could easily beat the young Hirano. There is something here i don't like. I am afraid a star system is building inside the top Chinese players. Fans and factories pushed Ding Ning to be the No 1 because she is far more popular than Liu.
