The fact that Victor calls it a "d6" and not a dice implies that maybe he knows there are other sided dices and he probably played RPG before. The plot twist? He played Human: The Autentic by Black Wolf games, where he plays a middle aged accountant with two sons, a daughter and a wife the lives in the suburbs

Shout out to Jason Carl, alot of GMs on KZhead are professional actors or entertainers that do wacky voices stuff that a lot of us normal people can't do. So seeing a normal guy like Jason Carl who is such a masterful story teller is really inspiring to me

Not professionally trained, and perhaps doesn't do outlandish accents and such, but his NPC performances are BRILLIANT. A shift in tone, a bit of body language, expression, and speech pattern. You can easily identify who he's pretending to be and each persona is distinct. It's subtle, and perfect for the World of Darkness. Bravo sir!
You just have to love Gary Golden. However flashy and grandiose he chooses to present himself, you can tell he is a very capable leader and negotiator.
Full props to Jason Carl, top storyteller. Although I admit I DID grin like a fool once I saw it start with X

Absolutely. I can't think of another scene where Cynthia and Dave have enough time to go into depth on Nelli and Victor's interaction....and now we get over an hour of the two of them. Brilliant!

Being an old Guard Storyteller of VtM since it was second edition, I never was quite sure if I captured the essence of the games I ran properly. Seeing Jason Carl in action as a storyteller is absolutely inspiring. From Season one up until now, I have very much enjoyed how he manages to sit back and conduct the story, giving occasional prods to drive it on, but never pushing players too much, giving them time to explore the scene. If Jason Carl ever is willing to give tips to other GM's, I am willing to listen, and certainly would love to benefit from his experience. I can tell his players are having a great amount of fun in the game, and that is my goal as well.
Thanks for the kind words, really appreciated! I have thought about doing some kind of Storyteller tips but honestly I do not know where and how I would possibly fit that into my schedule! :O

I completely agree. Jason Carl is an inspiration in how to be the storyteller while letting the players explore the story and tell their own character's stories.
You can catch a pointer here and there from Jason on geek and sundry. He even did a segment with "Victor my boy!" ... Ok, lame impression, I know. Point is grab every gem you can from a master.

Really liked this epilogue. Victor and Nelli are such good actors it makes me think they're together in RL. Nelli saying "come on let's go home to the children" was so off the cuff and real.

So, Belle on a black horse sounds like her with a bike again... The green wolf probably means we'll see a certain Gangrel again. A moon changing faces... Something tells me the folks who didn't play Bloodlines are going to learn something about a certain Baron. Definitely cool as a prophecy though. :D Can't wait for it to play out.

Nelli is in a really interesting position where should could have conflicted loyalties given her relationship with Victor as well has her obvious closeness and history with Abrams, who even suggested in the season one epilogue that she could possibly take over for him if he gets called away. Then there's the question of whether there might be any lingering influence on her from Suzanne. Nelli is such a great character and I'm looking forward to seeing how she navigates this if the friction between Victor and Abrams increases.
Great observations! Nelli, like all the characters, is complex and has many layers....

So enthralling! ~ I will say that I was going to watch a few TV shows that were on my mind from months ago, but ever since I came across this roleplaying chronicle presented here (and I am a long-time fan of White Wolf's World of Darkness), I put those shows on hold for later in the future because this here has captivated me so much! I didn't say anything on that episode, but the more I think on it, I'm pretty convinced that our much vaunted Prince is little more than a puppet of the super scary Toreador femme fatale. If you think about it, he didn't really DO anything at that meeting that would require any sort of decision making or bargaining capability. He dodged any attempt by the PCs to engage in actual debate and just stuck to the Camarilla party line and stuck to his "script" as prince while throwing some power and authority around for show. I think he's just a figurehead. A target to sit on the throne while the lady stands behind him, pulls strings, does the real work, and makes all the actual decisions. If I were a player in that game, she would be the one I was really worried about.

@@ironicallynice Not necessarily. Many; maybe most; of them are in fact the rulers of their domains. Especially the older ones like in Europe. Still, it's always a struggle to maintain power. Wheel keeps turning.
You forget they were in Elysium, surrounded by the Prince's court. Vannevar can't be seen humoring some lowly Anarch Baron with the respect of a debate. If he had engaged the coterie, the surrounding Kindred of the Ivory Tower would see it as a sign of Vannevar's weakness. Interesting theory though and definitely smart of you to see her as someone to worry about, any Kindred that close to a Prince tends to be powerful. I started my unlife in the Ivory Tower and saw that kind of posturing a lot in Elysium, the one Prince who showed weakness ended up having their Sheriff use me to give themselves a promotion to the throne... I just needed an excuse to eat her anyway LOL.
Considering how he was constantly looking to her approval (even when she wasn't there), entirely possible.
Had to watch X's scene a fee times. I swear if someone hurts Eva.
I think it is Jasper that is going to cause Eva's heart to break. Once Jasper finds out what happened to his former girlfriend he is going to go ballistic trying to rescue her.

Ugh, Finally someone addressed the laws of Elysium being broken. I was grinding my fangs about it 😆 I didn't want to say anything at the time that I noticed it because I felt like it might be a buzzkiller, that episode it still one of the best. My ears perked up when I heard the dark arts . first thought was, Infernalism!
I think it's important to remember two things that the customs of Elysium are interpreted individually from city to city and Prince to Prince. The V5 Camarilla book discusses a bit about how Elysium differs from city to city: there are no uniform laws, and that breaking those customs means something specific. Vannevar and Suzanne knew what they were doing....
Interesting, thank you: I shall be sure to read up on that now my V5 books have arrived. Certainly Gary Golden has taken a dim view of it however, which is to our team's advantage. Victor was very smart to obtain right of first refusal. 1. I wonder how much of the conversation Gary overheard, and whether he has out-of-clan Auspex? Specifically whether he heard anything reinforcing the importance of the Labyrinth. 2. I wonder if Victor could have negotiated down the price of the Nosferatu's co-operation. Hmm, probably not.

But how did THE NOSFERATU find out? Unless they or someone else had rats observing? Maybe they drained it out of "Rex" was it?
@@bartconnolly6104 I usually chalk it up to a few avenues when it comes to the Nos. One is what you guessed , critter spys. Some others are the "equal" trade of secrets or info , Nos is shadowing a particularly gossipy kindred, some really invented way with microphones or transceiver with planted cameras.(something of that nature) or my personal favorite, the paranoia route. "There everywhere man! Their listening through your sink pipes, in your walls, hanging from the chandelier , hell you probably have one under your bed and two in your closet!"
Xander is so good at making his characters different. In Castilo 6 Cobalt is so smooth and it's weird for me to watch him be Cobalt because I'm used to X! At first I was like "I'm not sure about Annabelle. I'm used to Erika playing Friend on Foreververse." but now I'm all " I'm in love with Annabelle!" Great job, Erika!
I saw him first as Ricky Huckster on Relics and Rarities but I love his portrayal of X

As good as this ensemble is, I think I like it best when two characters are paired off. This episode is an example of why.

Nice interlinks of story threads! Also, I just love Gary Golden. (He and Fiorenza are my favorites.) That's the kind of tasty NPC that really spice up a game without overbearing on it. Victor and Nelli did a great job of adapting to his style, and the two of them play off each other so well. Amazing story, folks, such a pleasure to watch.

@@azarinevil are gargoyles even a clan? At most they are a bloodline made from magically perverting Gangrel and Tzim vitae.
@@VandalAudi We were three bloodlines back when we were created, but we boiled that down so modern gargoyles are a singular bloodline. We are not one of the official clans, but we have been rallying ourselves and building numbers since our revolt so unlike most bloodlines we can rival clans. Tremere are not any different from us, they aren't proper descendents but get enough numbers and organize it makes you a clan.
@@VandalAudi Also we are Gangrel, Tzimisce, Nosferatu.. though these days we have a unique discipline and distinct clan traits like getting along with one another, and our stoneskin.

Everyone's talking about the Mercer Effect, but what about the Carl Factor? I kind of want to watch him play a chronicle as Hollywood.
This is the first one of these that I have watched, and I am only a couple of minutes in but I have gotta say that I genuinely feel like every campaign would be infinitely more interesting/hilarious if ran by a Malkav. This guy is cracking me up, he is doing such a great job with the crazy, though I might be biased because I always roll Malkav. I guess the crazy just comes more naturally? This really makes me miss my old group and makes me desperately want to find a new one! (I love the one guy’s comment saying “How have you survived this long?” “Mostly through trial and error “. Fantastic.)

30 seconds after putting on the jacket and Nellie threatens to deck Victor ontop of Jason saying "wow" to Victors teasing of her. Beautiful Edit: god i love how Jason plays Nos, specifically Goldman. The absolute adherence to Nos ideals of bargains and deals above literally all else, plus he has a constant charming personality about it that makes me want to sit down and negotiate with him despite being wildly outclassed in the skill.

What made me laugh the most was the oh so sudden: "How was your week? What have you been up to?" Victor's WTF reaction sold it. LOL

Hokay. In the vision, Victor, in a dented crown, holds a blue crystal heart to a light and red beams shoot out of it. Dented crown appears to have already happened - he did get a chunk of his territory carved off and given to Fiona of all people - but what of the heart? Blue Crystal heart sort of hearkens back to the blue heart emoji that Nelli sends Victor as a sign-off on occasion, maybe it's something to do with their relationship? But that doesn't appear to fit - what about their relationship was held up to the light? And those laser beams - we don't know how destructive or illuminating they were, we don't know what exactly was happening as a result of this heart being placed in the light. Maybe something to do with obtaining those documents for Petronella? Bringing them into the light? Maybe there will be some sort of knock-on effect or repercussion from getting Petronella's history reported correctly?
Yeah, that makes sense... The blue heart being nelli and his relationship with her, bringing it to light can mean literally having people to notice it, and Victor surely does that, everyone (from Therese to Petronella) seems to know he feels strongly about her. So this is kind of a weakness for him, right? I hope the laser beams don't mean Nelli being hurt! I like the Petronella theory as well, maybe taking had story into light might have some unexpected repercussions...
The laser beams are sniper red dot sights.. Nelli made Greg a ghoul and his involvement with Firstlight behind her back will put their sights on Nelli. They know ghouls when they find them and how to get them clean (blood replacement therapies being a big one) and you can bet any communication Greg is having with Nelli is under their watch whether he knows it or not. I suspect the broken heart will be a falling out rather than Final Death, as Victor will go all Undad and start with a lecture about "I told you so", at least I hope.
Nelli G needs to wake up and realize that Victor loves her for herself and Not to use her. I mean even the Female Ghost noticed it.

Food for thought. Tender in Swedish means teeth and Paradox Interactive, the publisher of Bloodlines 2, is a Swedish company. And the "d" in the logo looks like an upside down fang made of blood.
Well spotted! "Tender" was an ARG campaign that teased our announcement of Bloodlines2 in March. (We had a cool live event in San Francisco that was hosted by Tender's CEO!) Tender is also mentioned in the V5 Camarilla book. ;)
@@JasonCarl Thank you. I didn't have any previous knowledge of Tender, but that's an interesting way of teasing that. I've really been enjoying L.A. by Night! I watched most of season 1 Wednesday and Thursday and started on season 2 Thursday and It's been running almost constantly since then (while I'm not at work). Keep up the good work!
I love this series! I have read all the clan novels and have to say Jason puts all of them combined to shame. It is awesome how much everyone absolutely immerse themselves into their characters. Thank you guys for this, it makes my week. Skol!
Birds of pray? It is magpies. One for sorrow, two for joy, three for a girl, four for a boy, five for silver, six for gold. And so on.
magpies aren't birds of prey; a bird of prey is a raptor like a falcon, hawk, eagle or an owl. magpies are songbirds, i believe? ;) edit; i think the hawks were the coterie, and the redhead was jasper's or annabelle's girlfriend.

Most people don't understand that magpies are cousins of crows and thus omnivores. They are scavengers that eat eggs and dead animals. The rhyme is a folk song from the 80's based on an old woman who still held an archaic belief that magpies are evil birds, agents of the devil. If you read the whole song there are a lot of parallels with Kindred society oddly enough. The reference fits with both Eleanor pretending she hasn't been Kindred the whole time, Carver clearly said she was a whole year when he sent her flowers for her birthday in the infirmary (season 1) as well as Chloe, who will likely try to escape Fiona if she learns about Jasper. The hawks/birds of prey is a symbol of a hunting predator that threatens the redhead, which is why I lean towards it being Chloe and Fiona. Eleanor is a predator already and having lasted her first year, capable of defending herself.
@@azarinevil The nursery rhyme is from around 1780 (At least the first written down version) and is manly about seeing if you will have good or bad luck. Seeing magpies was a ill omen in britten and seeing a set numer of magpie's meant different things. It goes One for sorrow, two for mirth, three for a funeral and four for a birth. Crow's also have a bad rep for being sign of bad luck and death. It might be because of them eating carrion (being omnivores).

Im hoping Jasper has an encounter with the stunning Josephine McAdam, who actually somewhat disguised aged and downplays her looks in playing Eva ( and even then she comes across as a hot cougar, which she no doubt will be someday) . They both have "something going on" in the park and Im not referring to what people might do on gravestones. Im referring to more substantial things. They have a vested interest in keeping the Nosferatu out of the park and studying the "anomaly" of the labyrinth as well as maybe using Annabelle to ally with the wolves. The "mirror" in the labyrinth has the name which they read out if i recall of an ancient Vampire Mason and who is that guy in torpor anyway? She plays the role very well and her three sisters have a vested interest in staying in with the Coterie as well as working with Jasper. It is handy to have a flame thrower as backup.
yeah I remember Zelios was a great architect and master planner, mason, and a scholar of geomantic power. He disappeared beneath New York in the 90s .
