KRUGER NATIONAL PARK | The Secrets It Shares | Satara
In April 2023 I took a trip to the Kruger National Park to explore the incredible Satara region. This area is prolific for wildlife sightings and we enjoyed an amazing time there. In this video, I take you on the journey and share the secrets of the Kruger National Park we were lucky to witness.
Join me on this trip as we explore the many great roads of the Satara area.

Just love the way you put this video together....the soft light and shadows, the animal sounds and movements, creating the peace nature restores to our busy lives. Thank you
Exactly what I was hoping to achieve with the video. Thanks so much for watching and for sharing your feedback 😊
Thanks for this video...rerally insightful. would love to visit the Kruger Park some day...soon i hope.
Thanks so much for watching! I hope you do get to travel to Kruger, it’s an incredible place!
This is a beautiful video! Those young hyenas were so precious looking! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you so much for watching. Those Hyenas were super cute!
Lovely work Mark, I shed a tear when I enter the park and then when I leave !!!
Thanks so much Andy. It’s such a beautiful place, I’m always sad to leave
Another gorgeous video Mark 👏👏
Thank you so much! Appreciate it a lot 🙌🏻
I long for the bush again after watching this. Satara was always a very productive place whether you go east ,west, north or south. Used to love driving to Tamboti from Satara and visa versa. Always saw wild dogs, hyena dens, lions and leopard around that road. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for the comment and sharing your experience of Satara. It’s such a beautiful place and I hope you get to return again!
What a magical place, complimented by your excellent footage. A how to series on video editing would be amazing 😅.
ll As well as photo editing from the amazing Kruger experience ...... I was hoping to see that perhaps:)
Thanks so much for watching and for the comment. I still consider myself a beginner at video making so unfortunately I won’t be doing any video editing tutorials at this stage 😊
Thanks for the comment Karen, there are plenty editing tutorials on my channel here, check them out 😊
Another well produced video Mark! Satara is my favourite area in the park as well, and your video just made me miss the place so much.
Thanks for watching Thinus, and appreciate the comment. Safari is just so amazing, my favourite too!
Thank you for sharing this. Your love of nature shows in the fact that you share footage of something common like baboons and Impala. Beautiful animals and beautiful video.
Thanks so much for the comment and for watching Kobus! The bush is a lot more than the big and grizzlies!
Mark, this is beautifully shot!!! Amazing! while watching the footage I thought it was shot with a RED... the roll off in certain light situations is so soft and beautiful! Excellent! Well produced as well... Love the hyena shots! 👏 (love them all actually!)
I really appreciate that a lot! I wish I had a RED! I used a good old Nikon Z6 for the footage.
@@MarkDumbleton I hear ya! But you don't need one... I mean, your talent, knowledge of light and animal behavior are the tools that make possible these amazing footage! cheers!
Means a lot thanks so much!
Magical!
Thank you Jackie 🙏🏻
Great stuff, sharing such a large variety of sightings helps get us all through the gaps between trips to Kruger. Your overall format is nice and easy to watch
Thanks so much for watching John, and I appreciate the kind words. Glad I could fill those gaps between trips. 😊
Hey thanks for sharing! - can you tell me what is the power/ load shedding situation in the camps? How long were the cuts and did the generators always work?
Thanks for watching. There is no load shedding in the camps I was in. They have back up generators that kick in when the power is cut.
Thanks Mark. A great way to start my day. Also, a reminder that I must make time to visit the Kruger again. It has been too long. I especially like the morning mist shots. Which camera were you using for the video?
Thanks for watching Garnet. Kruger sure is special. I used a Nikon Z6 for all the video, apart from the video of myself speaking, that was taken with a DJI Action 3. The Misty morning was magical, really enjoy it when it’s misty
