There have been scenes in the show that I thought were highly relatable and realistic, only to see people online saying things like "this wasn't realistic, who would act like that in real life?". Like guys most people in my family act like this 😭 My dysfunctional family just became so normalized to me that I sometimes forget that there are actual normal families out there and not everyone has these borderline traumatic experiences lol.

    • But to each their own 😭

      @almah786@almah7862 жыл бұрын
    • A few reasons... 1. Remove makeup and cleanse your face before showering. You don't want leftover products, sweat, and pollutants getting into your pores when you shower. 2. Both body and face, this is way too much exfoliation. If you want to shave, using a chemical exfoliator rather than another manual one is best. 3. Too much water at once. It will start permeating the barrier of the skin and making you lose natural moisture (and create more oils later making up for it). 4. Even for the scalp, washing your hair every day is A LOT. You have skin under there too! You ideally want to shampoo and use heat tools as infrequently as possible. Instead of washing, blow drying, and styling every day... try to cut it back to rinsing off in the shower, shampooing 2 - 3 a week (or less... it really depends on how your hair normalizes after a while in terms of oiliness) and then exfoliating your scalp every other week. Generally leads to much healthier hair. Also, if you are spending a lot of time in the shower, you might want to invest in a $20 shower water filter. It's an inexpensive, quick and forget about thing you can do that can improve your skin and hair a lot. 5. I'm putting in too much exfoliating again. 6. DON'T RUB!! Always pat your face dry or products in. Don't pull. Same with gua sha tools. You should only be using them with enough oil that they are gliding over the surface of the skin, not pulling it. 7. Waste of money. Remember, you can do gua sha with anything. Your hands, a spoon... these work just as well. And if you aren't doing it in the right order, you might as well not do it all. (Look up "lymphatic drainage massage"). 8. After a shower and a lot of cleansing, your skin needs a breather. You shouldn't go right in with makeup right after all of this. The exfoliation and dehydration have already created micro tears in the protective barrier, and the last thing you want to do is put makeup into those. It can even make you breakout just with the rest of your normal skincare routine. 9. Harsh temperatures. Freezing your face off does more harm than good, and you don't want ice making direct contact with the fine skin on your face. Stick to keeping a jar of moisturizer in the refrigerator if you want something cooling. 10. If you are getting ready for school/work significantly before you go, remember to reapply sunscreen again before leaving and bring some with you to touch up with during the day (yes, even if you are indoors so long as there are windows). I think that mostly covers it!

Because no dermatologist will recommend nearly bruising and microtearing your skin with all that. Ctm, one roller, gentle exfoliation (no physical scrubs), suncreen will do the trick. Acne/pimples are often tied to gynecological and digestive problems, once that is taken care of, a lot of skin stuff can be managed.

    • @@prideandprejuice1949 Yeah, sometimes things don't work on specific people, but that's okay! Just make sure to patch test before use, and do your research, then you'll be all good :) Also maybe next time try exfoliating and cleansing prior to shaving your face, and use a slippery oil while doing so, it helps a ton :)

  • As someone who gave her self facial 3 times a week. This is a neat routine but I don’t see myself getting up at 4 am to do this routine. I will admit doing hot and cold therapy as a part of skin care routine it is great. The cold tightens your pores. But doing it twice in the morning is a bit much. I would rather do the hot therapy with a steam shower then a cold pack before once my moisturize set in pre bed. So all I would have to do is wake up wash my face, then add my skin care products and do the face rollers to de puff then maybe one cold pack before I did my makeup. But honestly she did it every day this is something I would do on Saturday or late evening.
