    • Yes it’s very much debatable. Tom won three super bowls faster than Mahomes did (first four seasons as a starter at the age of 27). You could bring up stats, but the NFL has changed a lot since 2000. Tom Brady’s season stat totals went up as the years went on just like every other QB in the league. TDs and yards attract more eyeballs and more money for the NFL. They’ve changed the game toward that end a lot.

    • Talent wise I wouldn't say by far. Prime regular season Rodgers was something to behold. That's why he has 4 MVPs and is right there with Pat for a lot of efficiency metrics. So I would say Mahomes and Rodgers are in a league of their own as far as talent goes. But Mahomes has all of the intangibles on top of it that Rodgers doesn't have, which puts him clearly over the top as the better overall QB.

  • Dads who played baseball mlb or not who have pitching sons should consider training them to be quarterbacks. Look at Russell Wilson’s baseball background. It helped make crazy throws before Mahomes came on the scene. Or in the same seasons. It actually made people take them both for granted the fact that there were two guys who had those skills in the nfl at the same time creating the new era of QBs. If people are training their kids early in this stuff because they have the blueprint from Mahomes then the next gen will be coming for his records. All you need is a gifted athlete trained at the highest level with a photographic memory…. Hmm maybe it won’t happen for a long time! 😂

As a football fan of 17 years and seeing other great QBs during that time, Mahomes immediately jumped out as a freak when he started in 2018, almost like he was playing a completely different game than other QBs. I know as a Chiefs fan that I appear biased because he's in my team, but even if Mahomes was on a different team and was still having this level of success I'd still see him as the undisputed best player in the NFL and a potential 🐐.

He can make throws that maybe 6 other quarterbacks ive seen could also make. And for plays in general, like a scramble chained into an insane throw, Josh Allen is the only other qb where I’d bet on it. He also avoids negative plays markably better than any other dude that could make the throws he makes except Rodgers. Hes maybe the best playoff performer Ever. Brady’s longevity and consistency is is even closer to matched by 2 athletes neither of which play football. Bradys insane stats, are a direct result of that longevity, not of his amazing talent. This is proven by comparing stats between them at same point in their career. Mahomes does many things no one else has done. The jury is out on the longevity part.

Gretzky won the MVP 9 times in his first 10 NHL seasons, and has a list of all-time league records that dwarfs any other player in the history of any of the Big Four sports-Jordan, Bonds, whoever. • One of Brady’s most impressive stats is that he threw a TD to more unique individual players than any QB in history by a MILE. He had that record well before he went to the Bucs, so he did it with one team. He could have made any receiver in the league into a Pro-bowler.
