Pro Bowl Pivot Lamar’s legacy, Mahomes the best ever, Purdy, Cowboys in conflict, cougars & sex in the red?
The Super Bowl teams are set, and We are in Orlando with the late nights early mornings on the Pivot grind but love being able to chop it up with all the guys who earned NFL recognition for being the best of the best this season and we are soaking it all in.
Getting into Lamar Jackson and what being the front runner for MVP did for him but also coming up short in the AFC championship and what that means for his legacy on and off the field. Ryan Channing and Fred talk about Patrick Mahomes and the way he is seen by the world vs how Lamar is viewed which gets into the Mahomes vs Brady about the greatest QB of all time.
Playing opposite Mahomes next Sunday, Brock Purdy who as the QB of San Francisco sparks a lot of debate of where he falls in the pecking order of NFL quarterbacks on whether being a game manager or game changer. The guys are on different sides of the perspective and Ryan admits to the flack he received about his analysis but stays consistent in his thoughts. With so much of public opinion being at front and center of sports, the guys talk about how the power of our words affect people.
Ryan gets into the discussion about conflict and conflict resolution and how talking about how the early offseason for Dallas Cowboys has been a lot of in-house drama leaking to the public and how do they recenter and what’s importance of family ties and bonds. How does conflict affect relationships and how do we come back from things that are destructive.
Lightening the discussion Fred takes the conversation left and Channing brings it even more left as they talk about men having sex with women during the time of the month and we still can’t believe our producer let us keep this in but if you know Channing, you won’t be surprised. And then talk about the trend of older women dating younger men and how the roles reversed and what the guys think of this pivot.
Tap in today for a fun football conversation that get into a lot of fun topics and the guys just chopping it up about ball, life, relationships and a lot of laughs!

Yet for all others, it’s okay for them to have a great D, great O players. Let’s stop making excuses for all others, but for Purdy we keep him on the judgement seat. • There isn’t a one size fits all representation for black people. Black people come from all different socioeconomic backgrounds. We don’t all come from the same neighborhood or mindset. And our culture is much broader than “the culture”. I’m black, I’m not mixed, and I didn’t marry outside of my race, and I can still relate more to Patrick Mahomes than Lamar and that doesn’t mean I don’t like Lamar. But we don’t need “one representative” or “one way of life” for our race.

    • I see what you’re saying. I was going to say Mike Vick and Marshawn Lynch, but you have a point. But I will say, Lamar isn’t really an extrovert and doesn’t really play to the media, so naturally, the opportunities wouldn’t present themselves as much as they do with athletes who are so called “media darlings” regardless of color.

  • Marshawn Lynch is 💯 Oakland…on every commercial, every reality show, movies, Beastmode, Madden, restauranteur…. Dreads before anyone else, gold grill, still getting arrested and not losing sponsors…He never claims his Filipino heritage? Father incarcerated and raised in single parent poverty. Does that not prove that personality and the ability to connect matters along with the talent factor? Marshawn is loved by everyone. So is Patty…it’s not just about being black. It’s more about how comfortable they are in any group and how open they are to experience new challenges. Ocho is from Liberty City but NightCap proves how lovable that South Floridian can be when his joy is so evident .
