In 'Cadeaux at the Chateau', all of the inhabitants of the Chateau de Lalande gather together to open beautiful gifts that people have sent from all over the world. All of the monetisation from these videos will be donated to a different charity each month. KZhead earnings fluctuate wildly each month, as ad revenue changes throughout the year. I used to show the gifts as part of ' @The Chateau Diaries ' episodes, but you're all so very generous that we have many gifts, and if we spent the episodes opening them, we wouldn't be able to show you other aspects of chateau life! So, for those of you who enjoy watching presents being opened, and as a way to thank those of you who were kind enough to send them, I've made this new channel. Every week we will film your beautiful gifts whilst enjoying afternoon tea or aperitif together.
It is very important to me that you know that we in no way expect anyone to send us gifts. I would like to go further than that and add that, if doing so will put you in any financial difficulty whatsoever, please, please do not send us anything. Knowing that you join us by watching 'The Chateau Diaries' gives us all an enormous boost. But for those of you who have sent these incredibly thoughtful gifts, I hope that seeing us open them gives you a fraction of the joy that you've given us 💖💖💖

Your Aunt is such a beautiful, loving woman. I can feel her warmth from here.
Sr Lancelot was the star of this vlog and we loved his little face peeking out from the blanket by Stephanie’s side….we think he needs a sweater ( he already has an outside jacket)….because the chateau floor might be too cold for him…oh yes and little soft boots ( which he will hate wearing)…pee or poo breaks outside for little puppies should be done often ( even if he does not want to go out)…at least minimum 4 times a day!!!!…we are dog people and have had a range of dogs in our lives….puppy training is time consuming but it pays off in the end, specially with little breed dogs like Lancelot.

The white dress is so lovely on you. It made me think of you doing "un bal des neiges" at Lalande during the holidays, with ❄ decorations, icicles, little snowmans, fake glittery snow, etc. So fun to see your wonderful aunt and Lancelot, enjoying the unwrapping of gifts, so adorable.
I spent a LOT of time making an antique style kennel covered in old fabric with gros grain and brass nails. It had a removable lid and inside I glued images of antique furniture and paintings around the walls, finishing it off with carpet and a padded mat. I was so pleased with the result. The dogs DIDN'T use it, preferring an old cardboard box ! As for toys, I spent a fortune as dog lovers do BUT they love old plastic water bottles that they choose to crunch almost only when I am on the phone ! Dogs! Got to love them.

The kimonos were worn in layers. My first class in costuming we made costumes for The Mikado. The teacher was painstaking when designing all of them.

The material is organza, its a beautiful fabric in many colours but in white is gorgeous! I was a bridesmaid many years ago and we all wore white organza with pearls sewn on.

My Labrador Retriever ate his way through a wall and solid pine table leg 😳 in his early days 😟 before he calmed down slightly! Stephanie, votre tante est tres chic! I smiled when she said you should always carry a handbag & gloves because my mom was from Troyes, Aube, France and had me wear dress gloves from age 2 - teens. I still have my first 2 pairs (1 summer, 1 winter, both white & petite). I was the only one in my Jr. High School to carry a handbag, everyone else waited until High School. I will admit, I didn't see much of what the ladies were doing because I couldn't keep my eyes off Lancelot! He's a doll. Little bitty guy with a huge personality.
