In 'Cadeaux at the Chateau', all of the inhabitants of the Chateau de Lalande gather together to open beautiful gifts that people have sent from all over the world. All of the monetisation from these videos will be donated to a different charity each month. KZhead earnings fluctuate wildly each month, as ad revenue changes throughout the year. Here are the charities that we've donated to so far:
July 2020:

I used to show the gifts as part of ' @The Chateau Diaries ' episodes, but you're all so very generous that we have many gifts, and if we spent the episodes opening them, we wouldn't be able to show you other aspects of chateau life! So, for those of you who enjoy watching presents being opened, and as a way to thank those of you who were kind enough to send them, I've made this new channel. Every week we will film your beautiful gifts whilst enjoying afternoon tea or aperitif together.
It is very important to me that you know that we in no way expect anyone to send us gifts. I would like to go further than that and add that, if doing so will put you in any financial difficulty whatsoever, please, please do not send us anything. Knowing that you join us by watching 'The Chateau Diaries' gives us all an enormous boost. But for those of you who have sent these incredibly thoughtful gifts, I hope that seeing us open them gives you a fraction of the joy that you've given us 💖💖💖

  • As for the other gifts with notes, they were joyfully sent. Philip was spot-on when he noted that the Val Saint Lambert decanter was originally introduced as a vanity/nightstand set. The full set in excellent condition is rarely on market. Now to the Mary Gregory glassware: Months ago in one of the Chateau Diaries videos Stephanie was admiring similar glasses at a street brocante. That triggered some digging and I eventually managed to find two for sale online. I scooped them up and off they went to Lalande. The antique brass musical statues happened to catch my eye and I thought they might sit nicely around the piano...or wherever a hint of the sound of music might be needed. Could that be called--- wait for it Philip --- band aid?

  • I'd love to get to meet Michael somehow through your videos. He sounds like someone who has excellent taste, a lot of cash to splash around and some serious talent with writing. I think I will miss everyone sharing a part of their own life stories along with the gifts they send when Chateau Unwrapped comes to an end. I love to hear the heart warming and sometimes heart breaking stories. It makes the people around the world feel a bit closer.

  • You could leave a book like that on a coffee table for all of your guests to write notes to you guys, I think that would be so sweet and fun to read. I just got a silky black blouse that has red tulips going down each side to wear for Thanksgiving, your scarf just reminded me of my shirt so much we could be twinning. 👯‍♀️

  • Do not store water in old lead crystal. Its ok to drink out of it, but not to store liquid for long periods of time. I know it's hard to accept, my favorite bed side glass for water was lead crystal. Just use the decanters for decoration.
