These were done a long time ago. Miley's done good work since then, but nothing this simple and exquisitely from her roots. I realize she is young and wants to experiment while her Muse is upon her. But, I'd love to be able to get CDs of all of these Backyard Sessions.

  • Everyone acts like they know her better then she knows herself. She is finally being who she's always wanted to be, as so she says herself.     • That depends on the person and their upbringings. I think she could be a little more, not too much, conservative in her ways, but if it makes her happy, then so be it. She's young and has time to make her own mistakes and learn from them. When the time comes for her to find her way with God, as you are saying she needs to, then she will. I don't feel it's my place to decide what she needs anyway. She'll know what she needs when she realizes she's without it; to each his/her.

  • Here we are 11 years later and this is still gold. I got into a discussion about how we boomers feel when our classic favorites get covered by contemporary artists. Most of it makes us cringe - soulful ballads backed with screeching synth and noises and artificial percussion, etc. - but this stays true to the spirit of the original while putting Miley's unique sound on the vocals. I'd love to hear more like this.

  • I am very proud of her. She has grown so much! I went through sooo many of the phases she has had to go through publicly. The judgement she had to endure as she was becoming herself was RIDICULOUS!! What if the entire world watched us and all of our mistakes growing up?! She sounds and looks amazing! She has definitely grown into a B-E-A-U-TIFUL woman with an incredible voice! Respect her struggle and growth... we all acted out while we were growing but she did it in front of the world and still came out of it as an amazing woman with talents far beyond our wildest dreams!     • People do not understand the pressure on young person to be so popular. I do not judge them by that. But I will judge by shitty music you do. There is so much great music out there so you would not be compelled to listen to lame pop music. What we see is not the best description of character in any way.
