Screaming exhausts, whining superchargers and blowing turbo's is what we want to hear! We review all sorts of performance cars. In the different playlists you can enjoy exhaust sounds, acceleration tests (0-100, 0-200) with launch control, onboard cams and the revving sound of each car. Exotic cars, hothatches, power sedans.     • @@bartbart6545unlike the 6,2 it actually has really good torque from the bottom of the revrange, but also has the sound of a big v8, while the 4,0 kinda has that abarth vibe, sounds like a monster without being as big as one.

    • Why complain about 5.5 or 6.2 when they started putting 4 cyl. in AMG cars. At this point just make 1000hp power train and be done with it.

  • M157 is a very underated engine. Makes a great noise and is a perfect balance of performance and refinement. The interior of these Mercedes is so much more classy than the modern ones imo

  • My dream daily! I love that 5.5L V8! Much cooler running than the 4.0L and less things tend to break when you push them a bit. Even still like the interior.

  • As a W213 E63S owner, I truly prefer the sound of that 5.5. I just couldn't convince my wife that the w212.2 is better so ended up with the little 4 liter.

  • AMG super wagons have always been underrated in my opinion. On a pure technical aspect. Visually it is a different story, Audi just makes them better looking.

  • It would be nice to make a new video format to present cruising speeds and rpm. Personally I would be interested to know at what rpm it will stay when I'm cruising at 130, 160, 200km/h and so on. Thanks ;)

  • 6.2 v8 overshadows this so much?? Hmm. M156 and M157 both are great engines. M156 first AMG build engine with few defects but M157 is not perfect neither. Obviously 5.5 biturbo is newer has much more torque and power but in 2010 you could get it with 525hp than 555hp and PP 575-585 and 900Nm. It's much faster for sure. M156 slower less powerful but still very powerful with amazing sound and perfect reaction. And M156 with some modifications M159 you can find in SLS AMG. I think the most spectacular Mercedes since 300SL. So there are both great engines but I will go for 6.2 N/A
