Watch our Ramadan experience from 2024: • Are we CONVERTING to I...
In this video of Living the Jo Life, we are taking on a new challenge - living like Muslims for the first 3 days of Ramadan in Saudi Arabia. Join us as we fast from dawn until dusk, perform the wudu cleaning ritual before attending all five daily prayers (Fahr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha and Tarawih) at mosques in KAUST and Jeddah, study the Quran, shop for Ramadan decorations, and host an Iftar for friends and neighbors. We will be experiencing the customs and traditions of Ramadan firsthand, and we cannot wait to share our journey with you. As we explore this sacred time of the year in the Islamic calendar, we will be giving you an insider's look at the sights, sounds, and flavors of Ramadan in Saudi Arabia. From the hustle and bustle of the markets in Jeddah to the serene atmosphere of the mosques during prayer times, you will get to experience it all alongside us. So if you are ready to join us on this incredible journey as we step outside our comfort zone, hit that play button and don't forget to like, comment, and subscribe to our channel for more exciting adventures to come.

    • @@livingthejolifeDon't insult God by following the self proclaimed prophet from Mecca in Arabia. God as per the Arab scripture is foolish to not realise that Jesus capable of doing miracles, raising the dead and healing the sick would eventually make people to consider Jesus as God. Also as per the Arab scripture, Jesus has second coming and God is so foolish to not know that assigning Jesus as Messiah would further worsen people's mistake of worshipping Jesus as God. Jesus as per your scripture is Messiah and a prophet coming after the Messiah is delivered God's real message makes no sense. God as per your scripture is foolish to not realise that making people believe that Jesus is crucified by making someone else resembling Jesus to be crucified instead of Jesus would further make people commit mistake of worshipping Jesus as God. God as per your scripture is unaware that Mary is not worshipped as God. Has anyone seen Archangel Gabriel visit the self proclaimed Arab prophet? Has anyone seen the self proclaimed prophet perform miracles? Did the Torah, Psalms or Gospels prophesy such an Arab prophet from Arabia? What was the religion of the self proclaimed prophet religion at the time of his birth? If God wanted to send a prophet, He would have chosen from the People of the Book and not a person born in a family practicing polytheism. The following verse is from another holy book sent by God to Prophet Musa or Prophet Moses. “Yes, this is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: ‘Do not let the prophets and diviners among you deceive you. Do not listen to the dreams you encourage them to have. They are prophesying lies to you in my name. I have not sent them,’ declares the Lord” (Jeremiah 29:8-9).

  • This is actually very cool. Wow. I myself reverted to Islam almost two years ago as a former Christian and then Atheist. I can't imagine doing Ramadan as a non-Muslim since the only way I can go through it today my connection to God. Anyways I hope that you now have a better insight into a Muslim life (suhoor, fajr morning prayer, wudu washing, regular prayers, night prayers, charity, etc.,...) to see that Islam is not simply a religion but a complete way of life. It's not something that you keep at home or once a week at church. It guides your entire day, week, month, and even life. Basically, it's a life GPS with a set destination. Without that GPS people get lost in life very easily. Islam is the best gift I ever received without even wanting it. Alhamdulillah!

    • The Islamic way of dry fasting which is practiced by Muslims in Ramadan has no physical merit and has no divine blessing. Kidney, which is the most important organ in the body after heart, will damage and can cause stomach ulcer. Don't waste your life being eternally sick for the sake of Allah, the 6th century tribal arabic Qurayshi polytheistic pagan deity.... Drink 1 glass of water every 2 hours without anyone seeing. (80% muslims do this, but they won’t say. Actually this fasting is a cheating. Normal people eat in the day and fast in the night, but during Ramadan, Muslims fast in the day and eat in the night. It is proven fact that, after fasting all the muslims gain weight - hypocrites.) End note: Quran only says limited number of days of fasting ie. even 6 or 7 days is enough!! Read 2:184. 30 days fasting is unislamic, forced on poor ignorant muslims by their idiot priests.

    • Congratulations all reverts. Be proud that you are also following the footsteps of Allah who reverted to Islam in 610 AD, by Muhammad. Allah, the GOD of muslims was only one of the 360 deities of the 6th century Arabic tribal pagan polytheism, which was worshipped by them inside Kaabah as the father of the lesser gods - Al Lat, Al Uzza and Manat (Quran 37:149, 53:19-24). Muhammad took him over and forced shahada on him (quran 3:18) and made him the GOD of Islam. Quran 23:14 & 37:125 clearly says Allah is the best of the creators(who are the other creators with him? - 359 pagan idols). Anyway someone tricked you to push into this islamic shithole. Alhamdulillah!! Allah is the Most Merciful, Most Compassionate.

When I get up for suhoor, it's really difficult for me to eat anything, so I just make do with a glass of milk, toast and eggs! Mashallah, that keeps me going for the day. It's really easy to do things for the sake of Allah, when you do something for others, it's far more rewarding and enjoyable than always fulfilling your own desires.

I felt proud, appreciated and respected, and my eyes were filled with tears from the splendor of your behavior towards the most important sacred ritual of our religion. I cannot thank you enough and am grateful for your loyalty towards our society and the beautiful way you shared that with the world. • It’s so nice that you didn’t just avoid food for 1 day, but actually fully immersed yourself in the full experience. Ramadan is fully about connecting with God so it was beautiful to see you involved with the prayers ❤

  • I’m in awe you were committed to praying at the mosque each morning!!! Fajr is definitely a difficult one for most Muslims, especially in winter 🤗 One of our Muftis by the name of Mufti Menk said, the strongest is not the one that can bench 100kg at the gym, but can lift their blanket at Fajr time 😅
