  • As an Aussie I’m super proud of Jai. Really came from nowhere to end up on the podium. Rohan Dennis now looks like he could be just about the strongest domestique on the world tour too, blowing the peloton apart two days in a row at the end. The future looks bright for Aussie cycling 👍🏻

    • @@mikelawrence6840 using that TT one hour power to explode up the climbs. Bringing something completely overpowering to the domestique game. I don’t know his power or VO2 numbers from those efforts but it certainly looked like he’d be blowing up the field no matter how strong it was.

    • Rohan is a beast alright.. he’s also got a pretty slender frame, so should be a GC threat with his watts/kg

  • What a Giro! And what a historical day for Portugal. Best position ever in the Giro - 4th (and 15 days in pink) First distinctive jersey in a grand tour And a 3rd place today in La Vuelta. Congratulations Tao, Ganna, Demare, o nosso Guerreiro and Ineos 🇬🇧🇮🇹🇫🇷🇵🇹. Arrivederci Giro. See u guys next year. U won't see me again here (unless Rui, or other 🇵🇹, wins a stage in La Vuelta)

  • What Almeids did this Giro was Impossible 22 y old and time trialed 4th best on average. 7th best climber and 3d best sprinter mixing it with the fastest on earth he is good at everything. He also never gets tired he had to chase down Ineos and Sunweb who always had allies he did this single handed ove the last stages. Incredible rider

  • Ineos is as professional as it was when it was called Sky, tactically very strong and taking advantage of everything they could. Sunweb on the other hand gave a colossal chance for Giro victory away on Thursday, they should’ve let Hindley attack to get a margin on Hart or let him drop back to Kelderman to support him on the flat section where he lost the most time on Hart - not the climbs, but the flat sections, where Dennis was being a beast and that made Hart win this Giro. It’s incredible how strong Sunweb was this year, yet they’ve bottled it so many times... Also a strong performance by Almeida, showing his talent and lots of perseverance. He still has work to do to perform better in the big mountain stages, but he has lots of potential, since he’s so young.

    • @@edermartins180 👏, I didn’t expect Dennis to be so strong yet again on Saturday. Unfortunate for Hindley and Kelderman, Sunweb screwed up on Thursday which cost them the Giro. Still a great performance by Hart, I hope he can retain or even improve his current level and that it isn’t just a peak.

    • @@Tim-K. hart is good but i am praying to roglic win la vuelta, and jumbo keep challeging ineos because if not the dynasty will continue... Mvp dennis, and great year for sunweb 3 stages on france and 1 i think on giro and la fleche wallone...and great giro for us portugueses almeida and guerreiro did a great job.

      @edermartins180@edermartins1803 жыл бұрын
    • @@edermartins180 Roglic has been the best GC rider since August, Pogacar after him - he was amazing in ITT in the TDF, but in general Roglic has been better - so I’m not worried about him, he also seems very professional and disciplined this season. Dumoulin is another story, he didn’t race for ca. 18 months and wasn’t very impressive in the TDF, but better than Froome of course... When Dumoulin retains his form from 2018 he’ll be up there again. Kruijswijk had a very unlucky year with (I believe) braking his collarbone and then getting infected with SARS-CoV-2 in the Giro, but I don’t think he’ll ever be good enough to contend for the win in the TDF, besides last year of course, but that was a bad tour in terms of competition and amount of stages for GC riders, he did dominate in the Giro in 2016, but ironically lost his certain Giro victory on the Stelvio (he fell in the descent and broke a number of bones due to it). Kuss can be one of the best in mountain stages, but was too inconsistent this season to contend in the GC. And that’s about it for Jumbo.

      @Tim-K.@Tim-K.3 жыл бұрын
    • @@edermartins180 But you’re right to fear Ineos, because they will have a team consisting of: Thomas, Carapaz, Porte, Bernal, Yates, Sivakov, Martinez, Hart and Dennis (perhaps even Ganna if he loses weight and trains more from climbing). Ineos will be incredibly strong in all GT’s with also very strong other riders that I didn’t mention. Jumbo will have: Roglic, Dumoulin, Kruijswijk, Kuss, Bennet, WVA, Gesink and Oomen - who was riding with bruised/fractured ribs in this Giro. Still some impressive names, but Ineos has taken it to another level. Jumbo also has Groenewegen, but he is only a sprinter. Pogacar, Quintana, Simon Yates, Landa, Lopez, Uran, Mollema, Mas, Bardet, Pinot and Evenepoel - hasn’t proven himself in GT’s yet, but has been so impressive that he deserves to be named - are also riders who can win a GT (some need a bit of luck, but I think they all could’ve outperformed Hart, Hindley and Kelderman in this Giro). Almeida has the potential to become one, but besides this Giro he hasn’t done much to say he’ll become a contender for the victory in GT’s. For me it feels like the competition for the GC has increased and that makes it so much more exciting to watch.

  • Zgodnie z duchem sportu dwaj liderzy powinni w czasówce wystartować razem! To dopiero byłyby emocje! Ale te stare pierduny z UCI bały się o swoje posady i trzymały się sztywno przepisów, w których napewno nie uwzględniono takiej kuriozalnej i niezwykle rzadkiej sytuacji. Jaka szkoda!
