In an unusual year, this was an unusual Giro.
With an October start in Palermo, the race dodged COVID and autumnal weather while several extraordinary storylines emerged.
A strong list of proven Grand Tours had started the race, but come the final day in Milan, nothing could separate two GC rookies, Jai Hindley and Tao Geoghegan Hart.

Giro maybe had unique story to tell but at the exact same time it had lots of whatifs. This was what i disliked of the race. We were deprived of thomas, kruijswijk, yates and remco because of covid and injury related issues whom i counted the names of were surely to bring the quality to the race. Fuglsang and Nibali (and then Kelderman) disappointed. Nice to see the ascension of Tao and especially Jai Hintley. But intersection of gts or endeavour of organizing all gts in a limited time span kept 103th edition giro a bit low profile.
