It was Joao Almeida who crossed the line victorious at Stage 16 of Giro d'Italia after an epic race in the mountains and nearly 6 hours of cycling. Almeida denied Geraint Thomas of a maiden Giro stage win after narrowly beating him in a sprint finish.

  • I know there's all these exciting young riders now that are great like Tadej and Jonas, but Garaint has always been my favorite rider. He wasn't even in his best form going into this race and he's leading it.

Amanhã, sexta feira, com uma etapa muito, muito difícil e no sábado com o CRI onde inclui 8 kmh de corno-escalada com inclinação superior a 20%, vão decidir o vencedor do Giro 2023. Espero que seja o João Almeida e levar de vencida. Para isso terá de atacar amanha. Se for possível, ainda hoje! No CRI vai perder tempo. Quer Thomas como Roglic são melhores...
