    • I'll tell you a better one... the FF were around with hank pym and the original wasp they indeed travel to the stars but same as with the quantum realm time happens differently, they get involved in the intergalactic empires' war (kree, skrull, shi'ar, and so on) because of that involvement the secret invasion included earth (mutants were prosecuted during those days -cap.marvel time- and that is when xmen2 takes place C.Xavier takes the decision to affect memories on humanity avoiding recognition of mutants and inhumans -kree mutants- thus awakening so many cosmic entities i.e. galactus, phoenix, alien xternals and eternals- but the most perilous on earth being Onslaught ) then they never came back due to other intergalactic multiversal issues (featuring the eternals and some other cosmic beings) they decide to come back to earth due to susan being pregnant, he -R.Richards- knows about mutants, to have their babt be born as an earthling that us when Doom is presented since he has been dragged by the FF in their travels and has been involved in the intergalactic multiversal issues as well in opposition to R.Richards he knows about onslaugth from there anything can happen.😂

    • The comic that got me into the FF followed a journalist who was tagging along with them in the Fantasticar and at the end of the story he wrote, "I've come to realize the Fantastic Four aren't superheroes. They're explorers. Sure if Dr. Doom attacks they will be there to stop him, but ...." and he went on from there, and it's what made me fall in love with the team. That and the part where Johnny put a skateboard on the bathroom floor while Ben Grimm was taking a shower and he slipped and scooted all the way out to Yancy Street in his birthday suit--that was freaking hilarious.

    • @@apeman505 Ah, the Waid/'Ringo 10-cent comic.Yep, that's what I was thinking when I reacted to Ryan. I think it was one of the best single FF issues in the group's near 65-year history. My favorite FF runs are Lee/Kirby, Byrne/Byrne/Byrne (Gordon) and Hickman. Waid is runner-up because although I love that issue and the issue where the team meets God (Jack Kirby), I think the whole run goes overboard with me with the Franklin/Mephisto thing. But Waid/'Ringo (the latter who died *wayyy* too young; may he always be remembered) should be/were damn proud of themselves, and Waid's published FF pitch alone ("Doom would rip a baby's head off and drink its blood if that's what it took to prove he was smarter than Reed Richards") was worth the entire ride.

  • I’ve been wanting a movie to have alternate post credit scenes since the beginning of the multiverse saga. Or even release two versions of the same movie that become more and more different as they progress so we can SEE the branching of timelines play out.

    @iLLiCiT_XL@iLLiCiT_XL3 ай бұрын
    • That’s an awesome idea! Two versions of the “same” movie that, due to minor changes in the beginning, pan out to major changes at the end. But that’s too risks for the execs… Nope - why try something new, challenging and creative when you can pump out the same thing over and over again.

      @iankane1733@iankane17333 ай бұрын
    • Just imagine how easy this would be to pitch to the executives too... Hey, if we shoot like... 5 extra days of film, we can increase ticket and DVD sales by at least 40% while all of the hardcore fans try to see both versions. Maybe down the road if this works, we could shoot enough extra scenes to do 10 versions. It would only double the cost for shooting and editing, advertisement budget is unchanged, and devoted fans are now paying 10x as much for viewing...

They could have had a much more interesting period movie like Atomic Blonde (Which was a better Black Widow movie than Black Widow was IMHO), but they are afraid to mess with the past more than they already did for Captain Marvel and Avengers Endgame.

  • The reasoning behind bringing Sue is that her father is one of the military high-ups and she's instrumental in getting them onto the base, and she basically demands to go with Reed as her repayment for her help. She's also familiar with the life support systems on the ship. For Johnny, it's twofold: first, he's not going to let himself be seen as not brave enough to do something his sister is doing, and second, he's basically an intuitive genius when it comes to combustion (especially as it applies to engines and fuel systems). He's been customizing hot rod cars since he was old enough to handle the tools. So he volunteers to man the fuel/engineering controls, and Reed trusts he can handle it, because he knows Johnny is like a Mozart of motors. Ben, of course, is a test pilot and has been trained in the astronaut program, so he's a 100% necessity, and Reed designed the ship.

  • It's a common misunderstanding, but in the comics, Nathaniel Richards is *not* a descendant of Reed Richards. He is a descendant of his namesake, Nathaniel Richards of Earth-616, who is Reed Richards' father. But Kang's line of descent is through Nathaniel and a woman he meets on a post-apocalyptic alternate Earth (Nathaniel Richards intended to create a time machine that goes backwards and forwards in time, but accidentally invented a time machine that goes sideways in time, to the relative present of alternate Earths -- and he got stuck on the first one he landed on, because he didn't know how to navigate it back home, and turning it on again could easily take him somewhere much worse). Nathaniel Richards of his alternate world's 31st century grows up dreaming of his ancestor's great adventures (o.g. Nathaniel went around helping the fragmented tribes rebuild their lost technology and eventually helped reunite the survivors -- he's remembered like a mix of Tony Stark, Johnny Appleseed, and King Arthur). He rediscovers his ancestor's time machine and uses the tech of his era to figure out the navigational problem, and takes off to live his own dreams of glory, adventure, and conquest. So, killing Reed Richards wouldn't stop Kang from being born (also, why would any variant of Kang want to do that?).

It was the one where Ben proposed to Alicia and asked Johnny to be his best man, it had the puppet master in it, too, and Ben asked for his blessing to marry his daughter? That was a good one. (But the moleman is my second favorite FF villain after Dr. Doom, he's just some rando guy who gets lost underground and the mole people just make him their king for no reason. I love him.)

This is a good pitch and I like how the first act is set in the continuity that the audience is already the most familiar with and making the second and most of the third act set in the Fantastic Four's original setting. I'm just not sure how I'd feel if the Fantastic Four essentially have to face three antagonists and lose to the main one though. Another thing I'm not really sold on is that we wouldn't see the Council of Reeds until the Secret Wars, but since this is the definitive Fantastic Four for the MCU the audience has to love them above all else, so I guess it could wait a while longer. Solid pitch.

The variant end credit scene idea is absolutely brilliant too. Well done. • if Reed is an adult in the near present (2012 i think you said) then his recognition & influence should be way bigger. the right beginning for Reed should be in the early 1960s where Howard Stark finds Reed as an adolescent, brings him to SHIELD where he can develop his talents. Reed spends about 5 to 7 years there, builds Kirby & then disappears with the other three. Howard came to know Reed like a son so he's heartbroken & this follows him into his relationship with Tony when he is eventually born. Reeds intelligence is so off the charts that it was agreed his true potential would remain hidden from the time he joined SHIELD as a science prodigy. there were other kid prodigies there like Sue so SHIELD science division people knew Reed was smart but didnt know the full extent as Howard did. Reeds disappearance with the other 3 was officially chaulked up to experiment hazard so they were proclaimed dead. the only people left who truly knew about Reed & his real smarts & the purpose of Kirby were Howard, Peggy & Col Phillips. eventually Peggy told Fury upon becoming head of SHIELD. this story works better.

They get trapped there and develop their powers. Some agents dont make it. the movie becomes a survival story and we see all their relationship develops. think Lord of the flies. Doom and Reed clash, separates into two groups. Both are trying to make it back to Earth. FF make it back, but they've landed in the present mcu timeline. Time dilation. • Really good! I love the idea of Sue as SHIELD agent and tactical leader. It would create tension initially with a trained fighter seemingly having a defensive power only … until she discovers the force field abilities.

  • I love your idea!! I always thought that the FF should be placed during the 60s era instead of nowadays. Just a forgotten super family stuck in another dimension and is covered up by SHIELD! It makes perfect sense to do it!

  • I really like the idea that the Reed and his family went into space or something during the height of the space race only for whatever accident that give them their powers to either freeze them in time or catapult them forward in time to the present day where they have to adapt. Doing things that way gives the potential for a lot of character growth/development (especially on the part of Johnny and Sue).

  • Also, Sue as SHIELD asset, would explain a lot about 'rumors' that Sue is actually the most dangerous and most willing to use her powers lethally or for 'coercion' of all The Fantastic 4 family members.
