Great Thesis!! Very Intriguing to a person who does t know alot about Dr Doom. i really wish Disney would take the time to fill in all these plot holes and stories that didnt seem to make sense during the Infinity saga. I would be awesome StoryTelling tying together alot of these Stories that seemed to go unanswered since the “blipp” and filling it with Dr Doom Under storya d his rise would be a FANTASTIC idea instead of spending several yrs trying to explain it in saga 5,6&7. Use That time to explain how these universes are collapsing and the rising threat as we lead up to secret wars

I like that Feige is the constant for the entire franchise because with something this big, you really need that. But it's SO big that they could use a "continuity team". It would also have some sort of pay off cause we'd see him go up against the heroes in the MCU. Hard agree. This channel, and a few others, have published theories and potential story arcs for the MCU that would have been incredible trajectories for the multiverse saga. I rip my hair out over here When I read things like that from Bob iger who said "not enough executives on set" is the reason all of this MCU output has fallen flat 🤦 (Hint, Bob: STORY).

Why not both? A show to set the character building etc and a payoff movie after the fact. Maybe a reveal like the one of Thanos on his chair or something.
Nope it needs to be a series of movies with diff heroes finding there own path then come together like the avengers, THAT is why we fell in love with the MCU, and they could finally have a female hero(except Natasha and bw) to have their own character arc of development instead of a marry sue that can do anything better then anyone else 👌

It can work but at some point marvel needs to let things be separate concepts. Doombots are doombots and Ultron was Ultron. Hank Pym was a genius scientist too, Doom wouldn't borrow others genius that would admit defeat and his ego wouldn't allow that. He could build doombots better than Ultron bots. Like Dr strange eye of agomotto being separate from the time stone. I didn't like they merged them making the eye useless in new fans eyes. Just my thoughts but I do agree that it would fit in the MCU and work. But would Dr doom really do that? We won't get Ultron fighting doombots if they are the same thing. It takes away from the marvel we know n love.
I totally get what you're saying. Doom is, indeed, egotistical to an insane degree. However, he is also pragmatic. He might repurpose the Ultron drones to take Latveria, then promptly melt them down and make his own. LOL
@@TheKnightArgent I get it and never meant to dismiss the thought. It's just getting old to me as a life long marvel fan that we can't have characters be themselves. We have to repurpose them into MCU which is one universe amongst the multiverse ya know. Ultron bots are cool but so we're the doombots infact doombots werent one version he made many different sizes, form and function differs based on the job. Plus doom made clones of him that think they're doom another type of machine. It actually takes away from what victor von doom is and has been to make him tied to Ultron or reliant on who built Ultron. It would be better but f Ultron came to Doom and had help with upgrades to defeat avengers. But again why would doom help when he wants to take over. I'm thinking beyond the current MCU and pointing out all the great ideas from comics we aren't seeing yet. That's where my head was at respectfully whatever they do ill watch and be optimistic n hopeful .

I'm at the point where I don't get excited for the mashups of characters or mixing three comic stories into one movie since the MCU might be destroyed then reset anyway. I guess it takes pressure off the changes made since it can be reset but also why care when it gets erased? I've been looking forward to the day we marvel fans can see these stories come to life and we finally do marvel short changes us . Doom and secret wars looks to be setting up a reset of the MCU.

It makes more sense to have him as the big bad of next saga in a marvel ultimate alliance type of story then bring in galactus for a quick cameo at the end of the saga in a post credit scene and set up the following saga

It is important to remember the before the modern origin story of Kang, in the earlier appearances it was implied that Kang was just an older version of Dr Doom, or maybe was either his father or descendant. It wasn't not until after the introduction of Nathanal Richards, Reed's father, that it was revealed that Kang was a Richards and not a Von Doom.

That was fantastic. Well thought out and structured imo. Far better than the drivel some of these shows and movies try to spew out lately. One of the reasons I like the MCU is that things are and can be interconnected and complimentary. You dont have to tell a whole big universal story in one movie because its already known.

Right. Doom is not just the Big Bad of one Phase or even one Saga. He's multiple Sagas. Doom is the poster villain of Marvel. What Superman is to superheroes, Doom is to supervillains. As Ryan says above: Doom is the GREATEST supervillain.

I love it, and I really want Doom to be the Secret Wars threat. My only overall concern would be how is Marvel going to show all that you have explained in a movie and make it work? It would need it's own dedicated movie, and it would be a mistake to squeeze this backstory into another movie like they tried to do with the Conqueror. There is a lot to unfold. With that said, it worked with Thanos. There wasn't any backstory with him. The thing they did right with him though was make him an immediate threat and showed how much power he has and how ruthless he is. Not sure how they could do that with Doom IF they want to play him as sort of a protagonist that turns antagonist.

Dr. Doom is the apex predator of villainy in the Marvel Universe. He will fight anyone, and he is most dangerous to anyone or anything that has more power than he does. His own power is substantial enough to pose a threat to anyone who might try to challenge or attack him, regardless of their level of power. He is the villain that all other villains should look up to...

Well currently I'm convinced that Loki will create Battleworld after the Kang's destroy themselves with the multiversal war however what if Doom is the real reason the Kangs die, taking all their powers, Loki pulls together what he can and Doom then uses his new powers to enslave him, and control everything it would then mirror in the comics where Doom used the Human Torch as a replacement Sun with Loki having replaced the Loom and everyone could think that Loki is the God Emperor when in fact it is Doom all along...
I never doubted that Doom would be the Big Bad. I just thought that Kang would be a lead-up to that. Doom's ancestor is Dracula and I'm sure that would come up in Blade.

Great video. I’d had some similar ideas but this is way more detailed and makes loads of sense, tying up quite a few loose ends as well. Question is how do they execute this? I almost think a four part Books of Doom Disney+ special could be the way forward, maybe dropped between Avengers 5 and 6..? Doom could be revealed as the big villain at the end of 5 and then we take a pause from everything else in between those movies to tell his full backstory.

Great work and a big reason I definitely appreciate it is because I wrote a fantastic four movie treatment in college were (coincidentally, or just common comic knowledge creative sense) I too included Doom’s Time platform as a way he traveled to the future and fix time,haha! I wish Disney’s writers read more comics.

A pretty cool Disney+ should could be basically having someone in "the present day" of the MCU "putting together" this whole web, and each time they discover another piece of evidence (be it a photo of Doom with Reed, or a journal entry etc.) we see "the important stuff" in a flashback and basically each episode covers how Doom learned the thing(s) he did, has the power he has etc. It could even be Doom the whole time narrating his own Origin Story to an Official Chronicler
This idea it's just beyond great. This could easily be two movies that culminate as a sort of trilogy on the avengers battle world story

You totally glossed over the brief clip of a statue in Multiverse of Madness, in the temple on Mount Wundagore, which was, very clearly, the inspiration for Doom's armor. It looked pretty much exactly like his Hell Armor. How is no one talking about this?

I loved EVERY second of this. This theory alone is light years better than what Marvel has been doing for the last 10+ years.
I like this, however in my own head, Klaw got his prosthetic hand from Doom, his favorite client for Vibranium. Doom bought the vibranium, but sought the Wakanda tech even more. Also SHIELD was already aware that the Tesseract could open a gateway; after Rogers was unfrozen, in his debriefing he explained how the Red Skull had been teleported by it during their fight on the bomber, SHIELD then began experimenting with it. Hawkeye was only acknowledging to Nick that it was a doorway.
It's legitimately devastating that this is far better thought out than a Marvel movie could ever be.
Glad to see you are finally coming around. It was ALWAYS Doom for the end of the Multiverse Saga. VERY BRILLIANT and CREATIVE. But a simple monkey wrench can upset your set-up: what if the Fantastic Four (and thus Doom himself) hail from the Kennedy-era early 1960s? There is a strong possibility that they do. Which would make 48-year old Pedro Pascal/Reed Richards and 46-year old Ebon Moss-Bachrach/Ben Grimm in 1960 born in 1912 and 1914, respectively. Doom would be born around then also. College would be in the early 1930s for the three of them, really before S.H.I.E.L.D. began. Reed and Ben would have been in their 30s fighting in WWII. In the 1950s, Professor Richards would be teaching college (and possibly a genius teenager named Hank Pym) and Doom would be studying the Dark Arts and overturning the Latverian government (think Castro). The space-mission that made the FF would happen ca. 1960. Consider this: Doom doesn't need paradoxes to make time travel or Tony Stark to inspire his suit of armor. He certainly doesn't need an arc reactor. The time travel he invents with his Space-Time Platform (his greatest invention, the second being the Power Siphon) must be tied with his quest to find and free his mother's soul -- the whole Orobourus-paradox is a Kang set-up. That circle doesn't spiral to Doom. But Doom does unravel it. 31st-century Nathaniel Richards (Kang-Prime) is a genius but not at original thought, unlike Doom. The genius of the Kangs is recognition of brilliance, synthesis of multiple discoveries and inventions and augmentation of these, and application. In other words, by discovering Doom's Space-Time Platform, Nathaniel Richards became the Kangs, but Doom doesn't need the Kangs. Alternative scenario: The FF are established in 1960 in their upcoming film. We see a Dick Tracey inspired montage of their earliest adventures featuring glimpses of the likes of the Mole Man and perhaps even an underwater expedition showing the audience an unseen Namor observing these curious surface dwellers and being amazed by Sue Storm. But this is all quick, showcasing the fame of these explorers and perhaps hiding from the public their powersets. Doom is NOT featured for long in the upcoming FANTASTIC FOUR, but long enough to abduct the FF and take them to Latveria with nods to FF VOL I issue 5 by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. He manipulates the Four, working on the resentment the disfigured Thing has for Reed due to the poor shielding used on their recent space mission. Doom leans heavily into the "Reed Richards is RECKLESS narrative." Then he drops a bombshell on the Foursome: Doom introduces his Platform and explains that one of Reed and Sue's 31st-century descendants will tyrannically rule all reality and that this is all to be blamed on Reed's hubris and recklessness. He will coerce the Four to travel to an alternate future timeline where they must acquire a device that can fix everything, the Ultimate Nullifier. In that Timeline, a Cosmic Being known as Galactus has come to devour all life on Earth. Doom sends them forward through time... but as they observe Galactus approaching, they are contacted by the Watcher who warns them about Doom's plan and the rest of the movie continues, with the Four somehow overcoming Galactus and, lost to time and their own universe, trying to return to Earth 616... which they eventually do, but only right before Incursions are about to wipe out the Multiverse. So Doom never gets his Ultimate Nullifier and can't wipe out the Kangs that way. So he eventually settles on Wanda. He becomes the greatest student of Cogliostro, and masters time to the point where he does not significantly age. He quietly rules Latveria through the 70s, 80s, 90s, and the events that follow with Thanos and the Blip, not interfering but biding his time, assisted by his ability to peer forward in various timelines. Eventually, Doom prevents Wanda's suicide. He convinces her that both her destiny and redemption lie in obliterating the Kangs and, perhaps, the strange Atlas Figure who sits holding timelines together on the Axis Mundi... she does this in AVENGERS V. Also we see Doom resurrect Ultron and repurpose it to serve as Doom's bodyguard (IRON HEART and ARMOR WARS). Doom was probably behind sponsoring Riri Williams and it may very well be revealed that Lake Bell's character, Williams' professor who obviously has a life beyond academia, works for Doom and is even Latverian. In obliterating the status quo of the Multiverse, the Scarlet triggers unstoppable Incursions. DOCTOR STRANGE 3 (TRIUMPH & TORMENT) provide both a sympathetic and horrific look at Doom who, I think, by movie's end becomes God, seizing the power of dying Eternity (we don't need the Beyonder and with Wanda, we don't need the Molecule Man). Doom creates Battleworld.
What a great way to explain Doom’s origin and emergence in the MCU. You killed it! I agree with alot of commenters here too- it should be a Dr. Doom movie first and weave all this into it.
