Yes I was toying with predicting a first or second round exit but gave him the benefit of the doubt with his number one seeding, potentially easier draw, but he put up a terrible defence of his title.

luca brecel , i got the impression hes only got 1 game, if its going his way his open style will do well but you need more than just potting ability to win many tournaments, and he showed it against gilbert, had the match sown up but threw it away .

Yeah he’s always been like that. Fine when it’s going your way but you need to have an all round game at this level. The way he conceded when only needing 1 snooker tells you everything you need to know about his temperament. Will be the only time in his life he gets the privilege of an easier draw being number one seed. Will find it harder next year for sure.

I agree if your not that bothered than why play in the first place, i dont believe any player who says theyre not bothered, especially o sullivan, hes always saying hes bored or retiring or isnt bothered but its total BS.

@@fart-gravy I agree with you completely in regards to Ronnie! If your genuinely not happy then you would just quit, not keep talking about it almost looking for attention. At the end of the day he has a gift and can be a millionaire playing the sport so you will never give it up as you can’t get that anywhere else. Might sound harsh but financial security is just as important as mental health as being skint is only going to add to your worries?
