Billionaire REVEALS The Key Habits That Will CHANGE Your Life! | John Paul Dejoria

John Paul DeJoria is a rare breed of entrepreneur: equal parts gritty resourcefulness and deep compassion, his early days of door to door sales in Los Angeles taught him to welcome rejection as a close friend. It was this mindset that ultimately helped him launch the hugely successful Paul Mitchell hair care line on just a hope and a prayer. Since building the Paul Mitchell empire, he’s since followed it with more hits, including the wildly popular Patron Tequila, all while enjoying extremely low employee turnover rates at his companies. In this episode of Impact Theory with Tom Bilyeu, John Paul DeJoria talks about life lessons that have shaped him, from his hard knock early years to becoming one of the world’s biggest and most respected entrepreneurs.

  • Munger and Buffett have both achieved an incredible feat with Berkshire. They've turned thousands to billions, and have made a lot of people wealthy in the process. I really saw the potential of the stock market by reading Berkshire's annual letters. I recently sold my $674k apartment in the Bel Air area and I'm hoping to throw it into the stock market. I just don't want to lose everything.

    • Most newbies either do not understand the power of compound interest, or are just impatient. For the average Joe, however, I think it is just best to invest in the S&P 500, and just wait, which is reliable, albeit extremely long-- lots of years. Or just use a professional analyst and speed up wealth creation. Most people underestimate the power of the latter.

  • I wish people associated success with how happy you truly feel inside regardless of your social statue and the amount of money you have. Having worked with plenty of billionaires for more than a decade, I rarely met one who was truly happy with his life choices cause they get bored of money and it never bring happiness to them. The happiest person I ve ever met was a Sikh indian working in a school for orphans, the glow of happiness was priceless and rarely seen in the world of billionaires....don't evaluate success with money, it s bullshit!

I remember buying them and using them for many years thinking they were great products. John is a great guy from a humble beginning and with honor and decency. I learned a lot just by watching this video and applying his teaching to my life. Thank you, John!!

  • ✨So incredibly FULL-filling to watch and listen to John Paul Dejoria 🙌🏽 ..thank you for this incredible interview (seems I’m finding it 5yrs after it was recorded…timeless)! His wisdom, brilliant ‘common sense,’ valuable street smarts, and incredible SPIRIT all comes thru so clearly even in just the tone of his voice. His gratitude and attitude towards every step of his life is inspiring and a lesson all in itself! He deserves all he has earned! That’s what feels good. I’ll watch this more than a few times. ✨ And, Tom Bilyeu’s interview ‘cadence’ - questioning, LISTENING, interaction - with his guests is the best!!! 👏🏽👏🏽( That can make or break any interview or discussion). ☺️

  • What a wonderful man-a wise and caring father figure for everyone. It's nice to hear being decent can also make money. The world, and especially this country needs to hear his philosophy of being a kind and reasonable person-that is true intelligence. Caring about his employees and treating them with respect (like sentient beings) is a good reminder for corporate America bc being greedy and saving the top few while sacrificing everyone else is not right. Basic laws of Karma. I also love how he puts it right by saying people in charge are supposed to set the example of how to lead by collaborating with the group rather than just being bossy with an inflated ego that only serves to make everything stressful and low vibrational. He walks his talk and he is a refreshing example of what we need to aspire to. Thank you! 🙏🌈
