Billionaire REVEALS The Key Habits That Will CHANGE Your Life! | John Paul Dejoria
John Paul DeJoria is a rare breed of entrepreneur: equal parts gritty resourcefulness and deep compassion, his early days of door to door sales in Los Angeles taught him to welcome rejection as a close friend. It was this mindset that ultimately helped him launch the hugely successful Paul Mitchell hair care line on just a hope and a prayer. Since building the Paul Mitchell empire, he’s since followed it with more hits, including the wildly popular Patron Tequila, all while enjoying extremely low employee turnover rates at his companies. In this episode of Impact Theory with Tom Bilyeu, John Paul DeJoria talks about life lessons that have shaped him, from his hard knock early years to becoming one of the world’s biggest and most respected entrepreneurs.

Munger and Buffett have both achieved an incredible feat with Berkshire. They've turned thousands to billions, and have made a lot of people wealthy in the process. I really saw the potential of the stock market by reading Berkshire's annual letters. I recently sold my $674k apartment in the Bel Air area and I'm hoping to throw it into the stock market. I just don't want to lose everything.
Most newbies either do not understand the power of compound interest, or are just impatient. For the average Joe, however, I think it is just best to invest in the S&P 500, and just wait, which is reliable, albeit extremely long-- lots of years. Or just use a professional analyst and speed up wealth creation. Most people underestimate the power of the latter.
@Zahair O'Brian I actually subscribed for a few trading courses but it didn't help much, been getting suggestions to use a proper financial advisor

It might be difficult finding the next apple within the tech stock sector, apple has performed way better than the others, maybe look outside of tech stocks.
I stopped listening and taking financial advise from these KZheadrs, because at the end of the day, I end up with a bunch of confusing stocks without knowing when to take profit, In reality, all I needed was professional advice.
I’m a Travel-Nurse, and my job doesn’t permit me the time to properly analyze my holdings/evaluate stocks myself, so I’ve had a fiduciary " Kaitlin Rose Sternberg " actively restructuring my portfolio for the past 7 years now to match the present market condition and that’s how I’ve been able to stay afloat, knowing when to buy and sell…maybe you should do the same.

Simple no nonsense advice that you cannot argue with. Lovely, wise man and well done Tom for asking great questions and really listening to him.
Managing money is different from accumulating wealth, and the lack of investment education in schools may explain why people struggle to maintain their financial gains. The examples you provided are relevant, and I personally benefited from the market crisis, as I embrace challenging times while others tend to avoid them. Well, at least my advisor does too, jokingly.
investors should exercise caution with their exposure and exercise caution when considering new investments, particularly during periods of inflation. It is advisable to seek guidance from a professional or trusted advisor in order to navigate this recession and achieve potential high yields.

I used to think everybody went broke during the Great Depression and other major crashes but they didn’t… Some made millions, I also thought everybody went out of business during these times but they didn’t, some went into business, there's always depression/recession for some people and there's always a good time for others, it's all about perspective.
First step is discovering loopholes to generate gains during volatility, It is very possible to retire big time from the current market condition without having to hold stocks long term.
The issue is people always have the “I’ll have to do it myself mentality” Unapologetically, that’s why the get heavily affected during a crash and coupled with the fact we’ve had the longest bullrun ever in the American history, most folks aren’t equipped to manaqe this crash and it’s impending opportunltles well enough, so it only makes sense to seek proper guidance during these times, that’s what lnvestment-advlsers are for, been using one ever since the pandemc 2020 and I’ve been barely affected by crash, I have $850k in profit sitting in my portfolio and I’m unbothered about the market outcomes.

I never knew who John Paul Dejoria was--just stumbled upon this interview. I am impressed what a class act he is. Great interview really enjoyed!! Great life lessons I can pass along to my 7 year old son.
I wish people associated success with how happy you truly feel inside regardless of your social statue and the amount of money you have. Having worked with plenty of billionaires for more than a decade, I rarely met one who was truly happy with his life choices cause they get bored of money and it never bring happiness to them. The happiest person I ve ever met was a Sikh indian working in a school for orphans, the glow of happiness was priceless and rarely seen in the world of billionaires....don't evaluate success with money, it s bullshit!
I remember going to a hair salon back in the mid-'80s at a place called John Jay hair salon In Metairie, LA at Lakeside shopping mall which sold many John Paul Mitchell hair products like hair gels. What a wonderful man-a wise and caring father figure for everyone. It's nice to hear being decent can also make money. The world, and especially this country needs to hear his philosophy of being a kind and reasonable person-that is true intelligence. Caring about his employees and treating them with respect (like sentient beings) is a good reminder for corporate America bc being greedy and saving the top few while sacrificing everyone else is not right. Basic laws of Karma. I also love how he puts it right by saying people in charge are supposed to set the example of how to lead by collaborating with the group rather than just being bossy with an inflated ego that only serves to make everything stressful and low vibrational. What a Legend! So original down to earth. He is true definition of Leader and real Philanthropist. Very Impactful interview Tom! Thank you for Sharing👍
Yeah, he's amazing, right?!
I was about to comment but Bittu, your words were sufficient! This interview is one I watch a couple of times a week to inspire me. It's my dream to make such an impact as he's made on the world. My favorite part is when he begins with... "IN LIFE..." Everytime I heard that, I stopped what I was doing and paid close attention :-) Awesome interview!
Rejection is normal, be okay with rejection

I cried during this interview. It sounds weird but he is a beautiful human being and if I can can in any way grow my entrepreneurial spirit to be anything like that it will be an accomplishment of a lifetime. Thank you Tom for bringing it to us.
