    • Late comment, yet one needs to also realize the danger of throwing kicks. That is why muay thai or a similar style is so essential. You need to kick fast enough where you are not tripped or grappled. You need an unblockable kick. The only block is to absorb the kick or slip the kick somehow. You absorb the kick for a tempo based offense reason, or you slip the kick to avoid harm. Or atleast that is what I have been taught.

  • I know O'Malley is the underdog but I feel like his striking skills, fight I.Q., movement, feints, ability to switch stances, break timing, strike diversity, proved his striking output endurance, can strike around high guards. I want to see O'malley shock the world. He understands how to put power on his shots and he has a great approach to how he abstractly flows with however a fight unfolds . He's always reading and has shown he can make really good reads in the moment. I would like to see O'malley succeed and I'm even a big fan of Petr Yan. They both are some of my favorite fighters. Their abilities are so fun to watch. Regardless of the outcome, I will always be excited to watch Petr Yan and O'malley compete and push their skills.

Especially if you've noticed when they're just standing around you'll see O'Malley kind of wandering back and forth but if you look in his eyes he's kind of like Clueless like what should I do next and he just pulls s*** out of his ass three spinning kicks with a follow-up job that actually ends the fight. And the way that Ennis is right hand normal stance and it's very choreographed I don't know why these guys don't see it coming and he must be that quick I guess cuz he walks up to the people effortlessly and you can see every Contour muscle and bone in his body where he's about to strike but he does Shuffle with shoulders but he'll never be like Floyd. Even though he is knocking people out instead of dodging punches for a living, LOL

  • I didn't know anything about O'Malley before watching this video. Now I'm a fan. I especially like how reserved he acts after knocking someone out. That takes a level of class that a lot of MMA fighters just don't have. It reminds me of Washington Redskins running back John Riggins back in the '80s. The guy could just power through a defensive line into the end zone, but when he got there, he didn't spike the ball or yell and scream and wave his arms or do a dance; he just dropped the ball and rejoined his team. I always loved players of all sports who, with their reserved actions after a victory, seemed to be saying "I've been in the end zone before; I don't need to spike the ball."

  • I saw that Modino fight, brutal. O'Malley has 2 things= precision strikes and reach. He also excels at just staying away from his opponents strikes and he does this thing where, when engaged with an opponent, he catches his opponent pausing- and hits him. That's why when you see a lot of his KO's- looks like the other guy is just standing there, he's not, when you spar, you have that split second where to transition from one thing to another, be it a faint or leg faint, etc.. he see's this and drops a bomb when it happens. His reflexes are insane.

    • Yeah, he's a hindbrain fighter, he fights on instinct so there's no time wasted in thought. I skate and it's a similar thing, you don't have time to think about it, you just feel it and follow the feeling. He makes good decisions, aside from not finishing a downed fighter a couple of times, but that's him not wanting to do excessive damage, and I respect that.

    • You think you have it all figured out when he's fighting midgets.

      @KickingAssDaily@KickingAssDaily Жыл бұрын
    • @@KickingAssDaily I've seen plenty of midgets take out lanky fighters. But if they can't get inside they're not going to do damage. If he was shit they'd get inside and knock him out. But that's not what happens is it? Being long helps for sure, but it's putting a limb in a gap in their defence that wins him fights. The kick in the head that you block doesn't tend to knock you out. That spinning back kick that you slip doesn't fuck your liver. Everyone has their own toolkit, he's just good with his tools. The downside of being a skinny twig is getting outmuscled, but that doesn't happen that much either, so he's doing plenty right in my opinion. He didn't grow up fighting though, which mitigates against him and makes him fragile. I've broken and calcified a bunch of my bones over the last 35 years skating, so they can take a lot of impact. He hasn't been fighting for long enough for his body to harden properly, so he's injury prone. That's the only real downside I see, other than a lack of ground game, but again, if he's stuffing takedown attempts it's not as important as it would be for someone slow and graceless. As goes fighting midgets in general, ever heard of Melvin Manhoef? He used to send people twice his size crashing to the canvas back in the day. He had no problems getting inside a superior reach, so I don't buy it.

  • Despite his regular body, his accuracy is good. A single hook with great momentum and accuracy always matters a lot more than mere muscles. More especially in a real fight.

    @bhoqeem1975@bhoqeem1975 Жыл бұрын
    • Accuracy especially matter's when fighting dirty. Just a single accurate punch to the throat is enough to kill even a guy that's 300 pounds. This is exactly why size only matter's in sport fighting cuz in a real fight there's a lot of people that don't give a fuck and will do whatever it takes to win the fight whether it's striking vital organs or using a weapon. It's all about speed and accuracy when it comes to dirty fighting. Big 300 pound guy's aren't silverback gorillas they may be big and powerful but they're still human and humans bodies weren't meant to be as massive as a silverback gorilla. Silverback gorillas aren't only incredibly powerful they're bodies are way more durable than humans bodies. Humans bodies are incredibly fragile. It's funny how some people think fighting dirty is mean or unfair or for pussies. It's like who the fuck care's it's a street fight the idea is to end the fight not win the respect of other people.

    • Goes to show it’s really about technique , and maybe even more not being too afraid to keep your eyes open and able to see what’s going on to dodge the attempted blow, and counter punch with combinations As far as I feel make your punches count, aim for the chin/jaw carrying through Looking for knock out And yah skinny, wirey lanky guys like him, and kind of like Diaz, have good reach 👍 reach is a big deal And bad breath🤣 eat crap like garlic and don’t brush, ha ha! I knew a guy that could make almost everyone gag and throw up from the smallest fart 🤣 OMG in the clench, unleash the Kraken But be aware you very possibly could be thrown up on. Sort out what’s real here 💩 crapping is just a joke But I have heard of a person who was pulled over by the police, and dropped a deuce in his pants, and the cops didn’t want him riding in his squad car Let him go with a warning Tread lightly and carry a big stink🤣!!

    • I didn't think O'Malleys Skinny lanky go go gadget arm/legs physique would be sustainable or powerful enough to last in the UFC. He does a brilliant job keeping fighters at distance and his athletic finesse keeps him a split second ahead of his opponentsgt The drawback to his skinny frame is he has the smallest margins for errors window and the spin kicks to the hard head have to connect fairly flush to avoid foot and ankle injuries. So technically he was defeated mentally also. He lost focus for a brief moment which got him hurt. He and his fans have to understand his greatest advantage over fighters is also his greatest disadvantage.. That's the beauty of mma. There's not one body type without its pros and Cons. You'll never the super Samoan mark hunt will never get injured and rarely do compactly built fighters. Injuring O'Malleys weak spot is part of the strategy.. So he has to accept it unless, he felt it was an early stoppage by the ref

Capitalizing on the assurance of Sean that he can continue, made Vero came in for the kill.
