We recently discovered that Piper LOVES ice cubes. Every time we get ourselves ice from the fridge, she scampers over and demands a few cubes. Watch to see how Piper enjoys some ice cubes on one of the last days of summer!

I’m glad some people like me think of raccoons like this, everyone says like “oh they are so bad they go in garbage cans I hate them” they are pretty cute :) it’s like small dog mixed with a squirrel that uses it’s hands

You can always tell the true animal lover by the condition of their furniture. My wife who recently passed away from cancer and I were married nearly 39 years, we never had a brand new couch, just do used new couch. I was so lucky to have my wife for so long, because our love for animals was equal. Love your channel!

Umm…..no. Raccoons can be dangerous and can possibly carry diseases. This one is domesticated, but if anyone encounters a wild one please just let it be if you have no experience handling them.
@@iacobus4227 I meant they're mannerisms are very cat like. I wouldn't mess with a wild raccoon, the same way I wouldn't mess with a feral cat.

She reaches for it sometimes so we are worried about that too lol but so far she hasn’t touched it yet! Just out of reach

Your raccoons are a joy to watch! I have a question though: In the video we can see really clearly how Piper walks around and usually is with the hind feet clearly resting only on the toes. Now raccoons are considered plantigrade or semi-plantigrade: did you noticed differences in the way your raccoons walk around? Do they rest the whole foot only when standing, running or sometimes also when walking slow? It's interesting because it seems it depends on the individual and the situation. Sorry for the long message and tanks for your videos!

Re the comment below about how you can tell a real animal lover by their furniture. I knew a doctor. Very well paid. And incredibly well put together and chic. Always beautifully dressed, in restrained classic items. I went to her home once. A huge elegant but comfortable flat in a very beautiful exclusive block. Her furniture was mostly all post 1920s modern...leather and chrome finish metal. She had two exquisite vintage Le Corbusier chairs in buttery caramel leather - half the leather was ripped to SHREDS. She had a cat. I looked at the chairs. I looked at her. She smiled and said, "it's his home too." I asked: "You just decided to not let it bother you." She replied: "I doesn't. I like it. I look at it and it reminds me of him. I look at it and I feel love. What could be better." She was also a GREAT doctor, not just because of clinical abilities but because she listened to her patients, never claimed she knew better, believed people who said they were in pain and helped them. I've always felt these two things were connected...her being a great doctor and those ripped to pieces hugely expensive chairs.

My lil Neoguli goes absolutely nuts for ice.she comes running every time she hears the ice machine..its like the best toy ever!!...even if she is "misbehaving" all I hav to do is get her some ice and she is totally distracted..yours is so mellow with ice,mine acts like its some sorta raccoon crack in toy form!! 🤣🤣🤣 LOVE YOUR VIDEOS..I've learned so much..thank you 😊

But not always anemia.... my hubby crunches ice ALL day long and is definitely not anemic he just loves the crunch lol
@@lindaroberts792 . Let me tell you about my experience, Linda. When I was told this, to prove him wrong, I had some Labs drawn to check my iron level. It came back as normal……..however……..just inside the normal range. Knowing through the years that so many many times the medical field range for something can STILL not tell the tale, I decided to start taking the same brand of iron pills that my Mother was taking. Within 2 weeks, I completely lost ANY desire to chew ice. So, it was iron. Back when I was in my 20’s, my hair was falling out and I was cold 24/7. Thyroid, clearly. Yet when Labs were done, my thyroid showed normal. BUT, the lower end of normal. This is when a very old Endocrinologist gave me some advice. He said to Never accept when a physician tells you is normal when it is on the low end of normal. He said so many folks are very ill because the A.M.A. has their standards……just a wee bit off from what it really IS. So, Linda, do with this information as you choose. I am simply telling you of my personal experience. And when I say I was chewing ice, I am saying it was an obsession. The container even went into the bed with me…….into the bathroom with me…….in the car with me……and at a restaurant, I had them bring me 3 glasses of ice during my meal. Compare this to your husband, and perhaps he really DOES only like the crunch.
