Hey there KJ! I bought your plans and parts list about 6 months ago, haven't gotten around to starting the project just yet. My biggest issue so far has been trying to find A arms. my understanding is that I cannot use two sets of front A arms for this build (front A arms in the front and front A arms in the back). That being the case, Is there a different ATV model i could find IRS a arms that would fit your plans? I am also curious what the eye-to-eye measurement is for the shocks used. The reason I ask all this is I have found it extremely difficult to find a polaris 525 IRS in any useable condition, and the rear suspension parts are equally as difficult to find it seems. if you know of any places to find them that I don't know about, that would be much appreciated!
Hey, thank you for joining in on the fun! Rear a-arms are included in the plans. They have worked great on everyones builds. The shocks are roughly 16” eye to eye but the chassis is pretty easy going as far as shock mounting so they don’t meed to be a specific length. You can use polaris predator front shocks on all four corners as they are very similar to the outlaw shocks. I’ve been picking them up for under $100 each on ebay. The ktm 525 is definitely my favorite but all kinds of different engines have been used with great success. I hope you get started soon, we all love new builds!
@@KJRaycing Awesome! thanks for the info, I cant wait to get started!

Can I please contract you to build me something like this that is street legal? I have been disabled from a serious motorcycle accident since 1995. I have balance issues that prohibit me from being able to ride a two wheeled motorcycle; but this could agive me back my independence, while also allowing me to once again feel that rush of riding.
Unfortunately, KJ's family and military career give him zero time to supply fully built CrossKarts. It might surprise you to hear he gets asked that several times a day
I would love to build one for you! I’m also a certified welder, building one for myself so why not build two
@@raawfish do you have their info?
@@raawfish with their content schedules I doubt they'd take on contract builds, but it never hurts to ask
@@Blackout_CDXX any sites that have them for sale in the states ? Haven’t really seen any on Fb marketplace either, maybe like 3 total 5-8.5k
He keeps things so clean makes it look so easy. Years of experience I think. He's Living the dream..
Love it! That thing rips! Love seeing people fabricate things instead of just buying. Great job, looked like you really enjoyed building it. I can't decide what I want to build next myself...
Man your ability to piece those things together is very impressive. You got something special man.
Thank you! There are lots of people piecing together their own works from the plans too, that’s my favorite part.
You're living my dream here! Amazing build
Thank you! It’s been my dream for almost 20 years, I’m glad I finally got to do it. 👍
Hay quá bạn
This is my dream as well.
These are awesome! I've dreamed a lot about opening up a karting place with karts like these on a dirt track with a bunch of features. I think it would be so cool! Almost exactly the types of karts i was envisioning!
The quality of your work is impressive!! Just awesome!!!
what a great episode! love the shifter you did for it, really great idea using heim joints and locking colors!
Thank You! Necessity is the mother of invention. I like simple things with lots of adjustment.
Which engine used here? Amazing work bro❤😊
@@sea_clicks all five of the karts KJ has built have different engines, the "VF" stands for Variable Frame
just pure talent. i enjoyed watching the process
The stability of the cart at high speed when turning is just crazy. Amazing project! I'd like to make my own modified version. 😮👍🏻
Well the chassis is definitely made to be a blank canvas for whatever you are dreaming of. So many different builds with their own personality from the chassis. Check the description for a link to downloadable plans to get a huuuuge head start. Enjoy the build 👍
You should be very proud of that.

This comment should have more likes. If I was the father I want to be I would be able to do this with my children. God bless ya brother
It is one of the coolest dads I've ever seen. Good luck. Amazing projects. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much. I love building these things so much!
I’m glad your channel is getting the recognition it deserves bro!!!!!! It was was just a matter of time!!!!!!!
Holy smokes I know! Now the pressure is on to keep the momentum up. Thank you so much, I really appreciate it!
All of these are so impressive! You’ve got a talent dude. Awesome video and awesome builds, would love to see these things more in action 🙏🔥. Much love
Thanks man! I really appreciate it! If like the highlight reel vs the EP check out the instagram (KJRaycing).
Nice work. You have inspired me to get back to the workshop and finish my cross cart. Its been sitting to long but not anymore.
Heck yeah man! You will be so happy when you finish it. A lot of the things I use on my karts can be used on most home builts.
Same, going on 3 years now
Looks like a blast to drive.💪👍🇺🇸
That one with the pushrod suspension is super cool!
Oh I know! He is so close to running it for the first time, all of us in the facebook build group are anxiously waiting.
This video rules! Like you and your family inspire me to try and teach myself how to build one of these.
Thank you so much! There are plans and step by step build videos to take the guesswork out of building. I wish you the best!
This man is a legend
Simplesmente fantástico, uma mente brilhante e inovadora, parabéns.
Excellent build! I’d love to see a racing series involving these
Thank you! If we build them they will make racing series to accommodate. It’s only a matter of time. 👍
That's one badass ride there great video. Thanks
That's some awesome work looks like a lot of fun 👍
Topquality craftmanship. Nuff said👌🏾
AMAZING BUILD very talented
That’s a lot of work I am impressed..great job it looks amazing
Thank you
Great work bro👌
Looks like a ton of fun! Impressive fab skills!
Thank you, they are an absolute blast!
And that, my guys, is why this man makes the big bucks
I absolutely LOVE what you did on this Kart. I've got a rebuilt R1 engine that I'd love to put in something like this... but I don't have the welding or fabrication skills/tools to do it. Wish I knew where I could buy a frame that would let me drop my motor into!
Thank you! When it comes to fabrication, the hardest part is to start. Once you bend, notch and weld your first piece it's all downhill. It's extremely difficult to make a roller because there are sooo many different engines out there. Take a crack at starting fab work, you won't be disappointed, and I show you everything step by step. I wish you the best!
Unbelievable build! Nice job!
Thank you so much!
Tremendous video! The build/the carts/the driving and the filming, editing and music was top notch. Wish we were best friends!
Thank you very much! 👍🦾
Wow 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Holy shit, this thing is bad ass!!!! Great job man!!!
Wow so amazing 👏
Парни,вы красавцы!
You have mad skills and can build some monsters! I've built a few awesome ones, nothing like yours. Helmets of to you and your team sir!
Thank you so much!
Looks wickedly fun! Love it,
Thanks man! They are a riot!
EXCELENTE TRABAJO POTENCIA AL MAXIMO 100% SALUDOS DESDE COLOMBIA 👍
I really enjoyed this video. You're truly a talented person. I will have to try this someday. Nice work brother.
Thank you so much! There are so many people building this, and they are all successful. We have a real movement happening. I wish you the best with your builds 🦾
WOW! That blue kart #5 doesn't play around!! uncontrollable fun.
It can get a little rowdy for sure!
It's actually very controllable
Wow! Super!😁👍👍👍
Freaking sweet!!!
you are the man when it comes to fabricating hope one day I can meet somebody like you to teach me how to fabricate
Thank you so much. I try to show you guys everything from idea to design to fabrication so I hope you are learning a lot!
Wow... outstanding job. You are extremely talented 👍
Thank you very much!
Espetacular! Parabéns!!!
Thank you 👍
BELO TRABALHO. VERY NICE.🇧🇷👍 ONDE NA INTERNET EU POSSO ENCONTRAR ESSE PROJETO?
That is badass
Me imagino lo divertido que debe ser conducir ese maquinon ...excelente trabajo
You have no idea 😎
Super envious! I have a ton of ideas, but not a shop to bring them alive!! Well see, maybe one day.
Set goals! I slowly built my shop up over 15 years to be able to do this stuff.
HERMOSO... SALUDOS DESDE BUENOS AIRES ARGENTINA
Little rocket ship! Very cool!
Awesome work!!!
Thank you! Cheers!
This looks way more fun than an ATV. I think that would be a good donor source for all kinds of components, in fact almost everything except the frame. You could probably use much of the front and rear frame clips for the suspension....just fabbing up the cage and cockpit area.
Yup! That was the idea. And man does it work well! I do make tabs for the suspension just to customize it and align it correctly, but yes. The VF-1 Chassis is a blank canvas for however you want to set up a single seat kart.
Wow. That is really cool. I wish I could weld like that. I'm working on it.
You’ll get there. I fishmouthed a piece of tubing, welded it to another piece; and when I could hit it with a sledgehammer and the tube bent before the weld broke I started building. I wish you the best!
Отличная работа! Шикарный каркас.
Wow amazing 👍👍👍
Ficou perfeito parabéns
you guys work faster than I've ever seen!
It’s what happens when you mix monster and red bull 😬
Well done!!
Thank you so much!
Now that's a go-Kart. Nice work.
Hell yeah! Thank you.
Que massa!!! Meu sonho ter uma dessa. ❤
Guy has some great tools
Great work 🙌
Thank you 🙌
Sir, you actually built one of my childhood dreams. Very inspiring, keep up the great work 😁
Heck yeah man! Thank you, I dreamed of this for a long time too. It’s still hard to believe it all came together like this and now over a thousand people are building my designs; and loving it. Thank you again. -Kyle
@@KJRaycing They should name a race after you dude :)
That would be something! As long as dudes are getting to build fun machines that’s enough for me. Thank you again 👍
Donde puedo conseguir tus planos hermano
oh god this video gives me too many ideas and too much inspiration
Thanks man! Lot’s of guys putting their dreams together with this chassis. It is a blank canvas for your imagination. I can’t wait to see what you come up with! Enjoy the build 👍
Super cool👍👍👍
very cool. i particularly like the old school Army PT t-shirt.
Thank you. That shirt was issued to me in 1999, makes for a pretty good garage shirt.
U are extremely talented. Impressive to say the least 👏
Thanks man! It is so fun doing this, and even better to start a community of crazy single seat race cars.
@@KJRaycing I bet those are a blast to rip on
That thing is pretty awesome ☺️ Nice build 👍👍
Thanks 👍
Daaamn going hard with the IRS!
The only way to go
I'll just tell the better half "it's practically a roll cage on wheels!" Looks like so much fun!
Oh man it is a blast! My wife likes driving them too, I guess I’m pretty lucky like that.
Awesome 😎👏👏👏💯
The best video of a go kart
veramente cazzuta la dima per il montaggio, complimenti!!!
Good job, I love businesses like this
Thank you so much! This is not a business. It is my hobby that I’m sharing at the request of like-minded garage builders. So many guys want a project like this so I was happy to help out.
Vaya virgueria eee,un saludo.
I enjoy watching your videos 🎉
I appreciate that
God the drifting on those are nutty. Must have spent all week ripping around in them.
Thanks man! The drifting and controllability is absolute insane! We rip on them whenever we get the chance! Start building yours and come play 🦾
awesome
Awesome job, I appreciate and definitely notice your fabrication skills, just a heads up, if you throttle up on those jumps it will level out the buggy, just from listening to the sound, when you guys hit the jump, you instantly let off the throttle, causing your nose diving that you guys are experiencing. Go the speed your comfortable at hitting the jump, then once you hit the jump, pretty much go full throttle. You usually wanna hit jumps in a lower gear so you can get your rear wheels up to speed faster while in the air to level out your vehicle.
Thank you. It always takes guys a few jumps to figure that out but we film all of them, I left the first few in there to show the front end doesn’t dirt dart when you are learning how to jump. I’ve ridden dirt bikes for 20 years so I know about goosing it on the lip. Once guys (and gals) figure this out they can’t get enough!
You definitely got skills brother... outstanding build.... so much for the grass though...
Thanks man! I bought my house with a little extra room for fun. These do make great lawn aerators 😁
13:44 lol i really like this shot, it looks like the intro of a anime, awesome project
There would be so much more drone footage if I could drive and fly at the same time 😁
I really get this feeling because this project looks rather large and all, that taking on a task like this would be better in a persons home shop or garage of choice rather than in a driveway freezing thier ass off! I think that's fair to say with how junkie countires have got with quality! And shows here the work is still tough enough! I mean kindness goes a long way becuase this work is accomplished with love! I would think that makes this go alot longer with care in mind! What a quality build! Idk, the camera angels where as quality as the welding!
Huh?
Very cool man. Bet it's super fun to drive
It is!
Salom Mening ismim Mirolim men bu ijodingizga havas qildim bundan keyingi ishlaringizda omad UZBEKISTAN
fast I hope and with an electro-hydraulic gear change system from the steering wheel just amazing work
Heck yeah! That would be so fun!
It is big monster wow man it is bistouflay
Now that is a true crosskart
I love it when you comment. Thank you, George.
Awesome 👏🏻
Thank you.
Wicked project and some good craftsmanship good fcuking effort 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Heck yeah man, thanks!
You're a beast sir!
Thank you so much.
this just makes me wanna complete my shifter street kart motor swap even more. someone offered me a kawi 636cc motor but i said no because the frames to small.
I wish I had the skills to build something like that, it is really cool.
Lot’s of first time builders having success… I did a budget kart that has a predator 420 and tops out around 50, great way to cut your teeth before building one for lightspeed.
I just wish I could afford it.. too many things not enough money.
Your a pro
Awesome video!
Thanks!
Sweet
wow nice !!!
Thank you! Cheers!
