Troubled teen Will Hawkins (Kevin Quinn) has a run-in with the law that puts him at an important crossroad: go to juvenile detention or attend a Christian summer camp. At first a fish-out-of-water, Will opens his heart, discovers love with a camp regular (Bailee Madison), and sense of belonging in the last place he expected to find it.

Is this a movie with all the possible cliches? Yes Will I still watch it? Absolutely
^^
Yes!
the songs sound kinda good though ngl 👀
HAHHAHA YES
Are you 5 years old?
So basically camp rock and teen beach movie all wrapped up in one and let’s talk about the fact that I didn’t even recognise Bailee I legitimately thought it was Maia Mitchelle 😂
Wow the same happened to me! Wow 😳 and I really love bailee but she had grown up so fast that i didn’t recognize her
Hahahah
she even played as Maia's half sister in the Foster xD
Mia and bailee looking like twins seperatet through time is nothing new
I don’t know why but I got high school musical vibes too
People are going to have mixed feelings when they realize this is a faith-based musical. I’m all for it.
@Ella Poota yeah and that sucks! Immoral people look down upon religious people these days🤷🏻♂️
@Ella Poota i think it’s because often, a lot of christians try to control others lives based on their beliefs or judge others when that’s not their place either. Saying this as a christian.
@@Noproblem396 i think it’s because often, a lot of christians try to control others lives based on their beliefs or judge others when that’s not their place either. Saying this as a christian.
@@agent1-085 and the liberals and so called modernists don't do that to the other group!? I have seen literally so many skits and roasts about religious people and their beliefs! They shame people who practice chastity as prudish or who go to church as fanatics.🤷🏻♂️

Ohhh i see xander from bunk’d and this guy from this movie a week away are played by the same actor and this gives a little camp kikiwaka vibes too altho ive only watched 2-3 eps of bunk’d
That’s the same guy!?
@@irakhan6019 Also the FL is Bailee Madison, she played Max/ "Maxine"on Wizards of Waverly Place when he got turned into a girl that one time.
someone probably wrote a fanfic about this dude from Kikiwaka but made it "High School Musical on camp" because he looks like Zac Efron, and when Netflix was scrolling through Wattpad for their daily cringe-fanfic-to-make-into-a-movie hunt, they found it and thought "This is horrendous, several classic nostalgic movies mixed into one cringe mess, probably gonna make a whole generation mad... Perfect." (ps.: that someone is me)
ahhh, this takes me back to my first gospel camp experience. I went in kicking and screaming for a week, but came out a different person by the things I experienced. So much love, so much acceptance. I recieved Christ, but went back into the world and got messed up. Came back to Him in 1991. Never looked back. Both events changed my life. I am now in my 50s.
Thanks for sharing. So encouraging to hear about people who were changed by Christ.
"I feel so connected" - dat moment when camp ends, everyone goes home, slowly lose contact with each other and the spiritual high ends :( This is why we need church y'all
i always fell in love with someone when i went to those "week long sleep over camps" where you would get cabins and have campfires
Definitely!!! It's important to know that walking with Jesus also is not an easy road but if true God fearing churches would come together, it could bring that spiritual high we need to keep us going. Not that they aren't out there.

I worked at the place that they filmed it (YMCA camp widjiwagan Nashville) and we got to see it this summer. Some parts really really cheesy but other than that it’s really cute. You’re gonna love the bus/sunset scene in front of The dining hall
@@marycatemcnamara5260 It was really good! I saw an unedited version last year, and then the full version around 4 days ago. You're completely right.
This is what a Christian movie should be. Relatable and truthful. Not the ones that are so judgemental and try to shove the gospel and their perfection in our faces
Agreed! There’s no such thing as a perfect Christian; if you’ve experienced someone trying to act that way or notice someone coming off that way they’re really just compensating for their insufficiencies or have misunderstood the big picture of Christianity. The gospel is significant *because* no one can be perfect. It’s an unfortunate reaction and is fear-based when people go about Christianity that way, like it’s something to uphold instead of something that invites all to abandon our facades and insecurities and vulnerabilities to be met by the one who can relate yet lead by perfect (non-judgmental) example.
Sharing the gospel to others is not shoving the gospel God wants us to share the good news to others if we keep it ourselves we are being selfish now if someone decides not to want to hear it we respect the decision even tho it’s sad but we move on
If you don't want the gospel, then what do you want from christianity? Also, I haven't seen any judgemental Christian movies, instead there are movies which show us that as humans we make mistakes but that if we truly repent from our ways, God is gracious enough to forgive us
Shove the gospel? Christian is all about the gospel lol. Unless your living a lie...
Your words are very wonderful, thank you ❤@@alexabraham0084

What is the film talking about?
This movie was AMAZING!!! I have been waiting for a Christian musical forever!!! The music from Steven Curtis Chapman, Amy Grant, For King and Country, and others was amazing in the film! It is defiantly worth the watch! :D

KZhead has recommended me the video with the scene at the campfire and I was really touched, so I decided to watch the movie yesterday. I have to say, that some parts were a little bit cringe (guess it's because for kids/young teens) but I loved the movie. As a person who goes to christian summer camps every year, I could really feel the vibes and it gave me goosebumbs. It is exactly as in our camps, we sit around the campfire worshipping God and telling us storys about experiences with God, we enjoy the sunny weather at the beach, dance together and make a lots of new friends and unforgettable memories. We definetly need part 2. Maybe about Will's life in his new family, his christian relationship with avery and how he starts to believe in God
