Slug? You utter philistine! It's perfectly functional and even has two engines, so that if one fails, it will still drive. How many modern APC have that great feature?

@@hummerguy I saw their recent orders, looked through their shipping, I am looking to buy the btr-60, however I don't have enough, rule of thumb for them is nothing leaves until its fully paid for, which means I can't get a loan.

@@KFJ9184r3 Yea and make sure you have quite a bit more than you're expecting it to be as well. Also, are you in the US? The one turn off for the BTR 60 for me was the width, its over width in the US and can only be driven with an overload permit, I doubt you'll get pulled over for not having a overwidth perm depending on the state you're in but its something to consider

Какое уродство было с этими моторами.Был же уже в начале 60х ЯМЗ-238, что мешало его поставить? Надёжный,мошьный не убиваемый.Нет,впихнули не впихуемое.Никто не считал затраты,экономию,расход бензина.

Мешал его вес. БТР должен плавать а мотор создавал дифферент на корму. Вот и все причины. Как блоки стали легче все пошло. Этих БТР полно везде. Это в раше поспешили объявить их музейными . Да и вообще переоценили свои возможности по жизни,и это ещё мягко сказано.Вот теперь т-62 разконсервируют .

@@user-or3sy7zs9e Т - 62, на который сейчас ставят динамическую защиту, новую электронику - идеально подходит для этой войны. Тем более, что на них не надо тратить сумасшедшие деньги на изготовление, чтобы сделать или как Украина - просить их по всему миру. А они и так есть, стояли, пылились без дела. И я уверен, что в случае танкового сражения с ВСУ - он не уступит.
