  • This guy needs to remain at the top echelons of springbok rugby. He has an insane rugby brain. Losing him would be a disaster.

    • I agree and I hate to admit that at some point he will leave SA rugby, hopefully after the next world cup. To me, Rassie WITH Jacques it the GOAT of coaching. What they do is beyond rugby, it has transcended the sport.

    • Agreed, but I'd add "the best coach the World has ever had". I think when we look back we'll see what a huge difference he has made, especially to the twisted rules engineered by the ABs which he has shown how to overcome. I'm talking about the proposed breakdown rules that they managed to squash in 2016 because they didn't suit their one-dimensional way of playing that relies on them getting the huge number of turnovers they rely on - 75% of the time! - to score tries.

    • @stevedavidson666 I tend to agree 😊 He's actually made the sport a game again...!. It might not work for those who lack the spirit of innovation, but for me, its bought the sport back from the dead 😂

    • Well I agree w most of what you said. he has done an incredible for the team and more importantly for the country, although I doubt he could have done one without the other. Where I disagree w u is where u write "takes responsibility for their life's purpose". We dont have a purpose. What he has done is he has assigned a purpose to this part of his life and committed himself to it and been very successful at it.

  • I am French but I respect a lot Rassie Erasmus for his work and especially for what he did during the World cup 2019. 🏆 🇿🇦 When he won it with the Springboks, I was very happy because I supported them for the final against England. Sunday evening, it will be an epic quarter final between two teams of World class, France vs South Africa, and I hope France will win the game for maybe win our first World cup at home like South Africa did it in 1995. Friendship to you, South African people and Springboks fans from a Frenchman 🇨🇵🤜🤛🇿🇦. Edit : After this game, I would like congratulate the Springboks for their combativeness. I am disappointed of course but I don't lose the hope to see France win the World Cup a day (maybe in 2027). Good luck to Springboks for the sequel of the tournament and I hope you will win the final, like you did it in France in 2007. You are the team which is for me the closest from our French team from a tactical point of view.

  • He is a good man, he loves rugby and we were blessed to have him contributing so much to SA rugby. The time he took down the corrupt Australian referee was incredible. This incident did so much to prevent corrupt/cheating refereeing as no longer would you think of cheating the Boks without taking damage to your reputation. It is similar to how smartphones showed the world what police and other corrupt officials get up to.

  • good luck against France bok bros and hope youse can win. Hope also the All Blacks can beat Ireland and considering you guys would have beaten them with a decent kicker, I think we can too. Rassie is great for the game both for South Africa but also the code in general. We have a great sport and it's awesome to be a part of it. Go Southern Hemisphere rugby, show the north who's better.

His love for the game is incredible. he's the reason i started to watch the Springboks again after the dramatic takeover of Heyneker Meyer, who totally destroyed and basically separated a nation, Rassie did the opposite and stitched it back together, much much ❤ Oom Rassie, you bring joy, life, discipline, sportsmanship, believe...you make us feel part of this awesome team.
