  • Man, I love these little boxing lesson clips. When watch a fight fists are flying and everything is happening so fast. But when you watch breakdowns like this you get to see there's real choreography to what those guys are doing...real skills involved that have to be drilled over and over again to perfect...to make it happen so fast in the ring that it looks haphazard.

Only 3 fighters he fought in whole career with equal or more reach were de la hoya mgregory and Paul and we saw how them went. Ducked anyone with reach, like lara, Williams margarito Khan etc And if you study the records of successful champions across striking sports, you fine that many of the successful fighters had huge reach advantages vs rivals and fought a defensive running style Even in ufc, Anderson silva, adesanya, huge reach advantages and fought scared running defensive reach merchant fights, which many people found boring as there wasn't much engagement unless they could hit the smaller fighter where the smaller fighter couldn't reach back. Once vs own size, they got outclassed. Another jon jones, great vs lil midgets, kicking their kneecaps from a mile away, but vs fighters his own size like gustaffson reyes etc he arguably lost. • @@c-4839 The Pretty Boy Floyd Mayweather was a monster, when he was fighting in those lower weight classes. He was knocking out everybody. It was only when he became Money Mayweather that he got that "runner" reputation. But it wasn't really "running", but out-boxing that were naturally much bigger then him because that's where the big money was. I loved Pretty Boy but didn't like Money Mayweather. But I still have to give him credit for having the skill and smarts to be able to figure how to defeat those bigger guys like Canelo. Mayweather was a boxing genius really.
