Bought my first handgun this past Friday. Glock 19. You are the main reason i went the direction of Glock. They really should sponsor you
+GraniteBees We could not take sponsorship from Glock, or any major gun maker, for that matter. We want to remain independent.
+hickok45 I like and respect that
+Mike Andrews would you rather be he be "Super Biased" towards Jennings? lol
+Kyle Page Amen to that!
I went with the 19 also the only hand gun I own. want to the range last week man you can spend a lot of money just shooting it but it is fun I have to say. I also have to say I need a lot more pratices I suck with a hand gun. am a rifleman my self. but had to get a self defence weopon. know I need the class that is next.
When people ask me which Glock is the best Glock I always say "All of them." Case closed.
Agreed cause it's hard to pick just one or even a dozen Glocks & the more I get the more I want.
Just purchased my 17 on Sunday. It feels super nice to hold, I got bigger hands so the increased size over a compact is a much better option for me. I grew up shooting a Ruger and a few .38 Revolvers so my 17 was a great choice.
Hickock is 6’8” and prefers the sub compact. His hands are big as well 😂 17 is a nice range toy or war ready pistol not a ccw

Which is yo favorite
19, 23, 26, 27, & 30. This man has encouraged every one of these to sit comfortably in my care. Definitely love all of them, but I favor the 23, and 27 the most. For the 27, the Talon Grips are literally a must, at least for the California Gen 3 only roster.
Great video, as usual but this one is special. I will be recommending it family and friends who ask me about the differences between Glock models. Great job! The only additional model I wish you had on the table is the G30S. That "Slim" slide just makes a huge difference and makes carrying a 10+1 45 ACP soo much easier. Easier than concealing a G19 all day in my book.
Thanks for explaining the differences between the most popular Glocks!
Glock 17 is my favorite, 9mm rounds are very affordable compared to some others . And the17+1 magazines are hard to beat ! Great guns 😎
here in 2021 its a dollar a round for 9mm so thats 50 bucks for range ammo
I'm in California and found 50 rounds for 20
It's not just the lack of a glaring corporate presence and the intrinsically greater value of independent reviews, its in the small details- Where he is shooting, his demeanor on camera, the constant display of both his extensive knowledge of and, tremendous skill using firearms (I haven't watched all his videos but, I cant say that I have seen him miss in the videos I did watch). I like how he doesn't seem like he is showing off. In both his shooting & dialogue there a relaxed grace that I dont often notice from younger men. +Hickok45, you sir have some serious style!
I looked through all the videos and haven't seen any Polymer 80 Glock videos.Im sure alot of people would love to know your opinion on them and how they compare to the OEM Glocks.I highly respect you Hickok45 I love the videos and have gained alot of knowledge from them.God bless bro!!!

Basically what Hickok is saying is= He can give you HIS own opinion and experience with a glock. As you can see he likes them all. You, the buyer, the owner, and the shooter need to go to a gun shop and pick up the pistol. You need to see how it feels in your hands as well as the function. Also you need to shoot each caliber if you can and find which one suits you best! Also what purpose are you buying the weapon? Home defense, vehicle, or conceal carry? For MOST (not set in stone) new shooters or someone that doesn't shoot that often then you'll be fine with a 9mm. It gets the job done. For more novice shooters or somebody experienced they tend to lean towards .40 S&W. Then the .45 is the next step. A lot of gun owners jump straight to the .45 thinking its the best but, ya know, how well can you manage the recoil and control it? I have the Glock 23 in .40 and I love it. Let me also remind you that you can switch out glock barrels if you buy a 9mm and want to step up to a .40. Or vice-versa.

Well I've shot firearms since I was young, I got my CPL shortly after my 21st birthday in 2016. My first handgun was a ppq, then sig 238, ppq 45, shield 9mm, 1911, Walther ccp m2, Walther Q5 match. I must say I use to not really even consider a Glock, but this year I started off buying a Glock 19 after renting one, then a Glock 23, and here we go, I can't stop buying them..... LOL. Thanks for all the awesome content, really do appreciate the joy you bring to us shooting in all your videos.
Glock 23 is all around the best perfect stopping power energy edwin Starks on KZhead did 45 vs 9 vs 40 40 out did both but glock 23 is perfect size not to big not to small and for cpl as I am apart of myself brother is perfect under your shirt u can't tell even a lil bit it's there
Tell me that's not your favorite since u bought it honestly in realiblty power speed size grip sights smoothest 40 I've shot myself and put over a thousand threw my first one which was a gen 3 glovk 23 and never jamed cheap ammo expensive don't matter as long as u take care of it a year after my first 40 from glock gen 3 23 I've bought 3 more glock 23s 2 usa and 1 Australia version never a problem i have a double holster that is unseeable and most comfrotbel I've had I carry 2 glock 23 gen 4s now and i have 1 at the house also plus 2 glock 21s
If I could only own one pistol, it would definitely be a Glock 19 Gen 3. I absolutely love that gun!
Amen brother ! Same hete
Move to california and that'll be the only pistol you can own!
Hi Hick, nice videos. I just bought my first gun, and it is a Glock 22 (.40 caliber). I am 6'3 , 240 lbs. and I am so happy. I entered the shop confident I was to get a 26, 42 or 43. I discover my body frame can conceal the full size Glock 22 quite easily, and it is so comfortable . Patience was rewarded when selecting the gun. There were 3 sales guys and each had an opinion, but the 3rd guy , older and wiser spoke to my need, and knew I was there to buy the right gun, right then. After my purchase, the value added benefits of the Glock 22 kept on coming. Yes, the interchangeable capacity of magazines are a real benefit, but the big unknown surprise is and always will be the 3 interchangeable barrels, .40 or .357 or 9mm, that are available for the same frame of the Glock 22. Is this a benefit found only in the Glock 22? You should do a video on Glock barrel changes and how a .40 can go to a 9mm but a 9mm can't go to a .40. Thanks Hick. Regards from Florida.
Just finished my first p80 g17 build last night. Super happy and satisfying!!
Great video. This is a must for any Glock shopper. Thank you.
Have all of them except the G20 & G29. Love them all but it's something about that G30 that just captives me especially when I shoot it. Love too try the 10mm Glocks next.
you got a g18?
I like Glocka as well. This video is a bit dated. I'd love to hear about your thoughts on more current Glocks. I own a 43x and it is a very nice compromise between small size for concealed carry and grip purchase in my opinion.
I been curious about Glocks for a little bit now. I hear from Glock owners that they are very reliable and easy to maintain. Plus they are a little more affordable than sigs and other brands. Been browsing for a 40 cal gun and your video sold me on the Glock 23 I hope I can get it Next month. Thanks for your videos they are very helpful.
great video once again Hickock45, you should get your hands on a 10 gauge! just picked one up and it's a blast
Thanks for the great video. I'm new to the world of Glock. The information was nicely presented. I'm trying to decide between the 21 or the 19. Thanks again.
9mm is cheaper ammo, so you can shoot more. is lighter, if you carry. 45 packs good punch, and recoil is very manageable. so, decide on the caliber, and then see what fits your hand better. I prefer the 19 to the 17 just because of the feel in the hand. if you go with the 45, try out both the 21 and the 30, there will be a subtle difference in the feel. personally, I love my 19, and my 30. good luck
.45's cost almost twice as a 9mm. Shooting off a 13 round mag of .45's would cost you around $6
Lyle W What's your opinion on the best Glock for 40. S&W? I'm torn between deciding on which of the two cheaper calibers to go for. 40cal and 9mm are what I'm between, and am wondering the most popular for each caliber. It seems the 9mm has the Glock 17 as the most liked from what I've read here. But not much for the 40cal.
vgman94 go with the 23 or 27 I love the 40 the perfect round IMO and not to expensive to shoot!

I always enjoy your videos. I have 19,23,27 Glock handguns. I sold my Glock 26 to a friend and have regretted it. I bought a .37 Sig. bqrrel for my Glock 23, but noticed the slide occasionally did not absorb the .57 Sig recoil well. So I just use the .40 cal. with the Glock 23.
When I first shot my G23, I thought it kicked a lot. After putting about 700 rds through it, I can manage it really well. It almost doesn't kick at all anymore. It's a matter of taste, and just getting used to it. I did shoot the G27 and didn't like it. The size made it not so manageable.
