The fact that the premium battle pass is easy enough to unlock with in game currency, and the battle pass items are still obtainable after the battle pass expires is a huge W.

The thing I like the most about it is the fact that the battle pass points can't be bought you have to earn the medals through game play. Some of those armors in the super store are p2w but they aren't crazy and it's PVE not PVP
The moment I saw you can get premium currency IN MISSIONS, and that buying it is like $5 for a whole armor set, I decided to buy the Deluxe version instead of normal. Any game not asking for my money deserves it.

The best part about this game is everything can be grinded out and not locked behind a pay wall, really shows how live services should be designed. Edit: I'm back after 4 days and got enough to buy both the Warbond and 2 sets of armor. Just make sure you get those minor side objectives.
About time another Live Service took after Warframe and its service model.

@@PatrickRatman I’d only ever played couch co-op with my 2 brothers, one older, one 9 or 10 at the time and never made it passed tier 6 I think and we just played for fun here and there. Now we’ve all got gaming PCs and are launching it up together tonight 🎉 indeed doesn’t feel real how well the first game was brought “to life” with this one.

Man I love Starship Troopers and its sarcastic humor. They go over the top but still manage to sound so passionate about it all. "Super Destroyer" "Super Earth" "Give them a taste of democracy", its all fantastically hilarious. Edit: My mistake, but it seemed exactly like SST. This game looks so insanely good. The aiming and movement system, the 2 person operated weapons, this truly feels like a true evolution of the genre.
I love the fact you can run the autocannon and such solo but having the reload assist makes it so much more flexible as a weapon.

"What could possibly be easier than easy, gamejournalistmode?" is one of the most offensive but funny things I have heard in ages.
If you play this on pc, it may feel better to put the qte on the arrow keys instead of wasd. And don't pre reload your weapons, wastes ammo. For bots, a decent combo is the railgun, shield backpack, ems Artillery. Fourth, whatever. (Not gatekeeping) Use what you want, just helpful tips for fellow helldivers! Also! I'm not sure if it works on console, but on pc when you're doing the artillery gun side objective, if. You spam E(default). When grabbing the shells, you can walk a bit faster! Hope all this helps! Small Indie Devs show everyone why it's okay to have microtransactions in your game. It's all about how they are implemented, and how badly you've designed your game to push players towards microtransactions. As far as I can tell, spending money is totally optional. It's not monotonous to just grind to buy the warbond and armors that you want without spending a cent. For those who want to support the devs, it doesn't feel bad to spend some money. If your game is good, and not missing critical elements that are locked behind a paywall - players will support you. I would 100% support microtransactions in Armored Core 6 for example - if they were to sell some cosmetic designs, colors, decals, and skins for example. The game is amazing, and I don't feel bad spending money on it. TL:DR - If your game is great and you deserve players money, then some forms of microtransactions are great. We will gladly support you and your game. If your game is garbage, obviously a cash grab (Skull and Bones), you charge a full hefty price tag ($70), and you make it as aggressively monetized as possible so that it feels bad to play if you don't spend money - then players are going to roast you over an open flame.
And the microtransactions aren't even necessary to unlock any of the premium content so it's not excluding people who can't afford to buy credits.

as soon as I heard "malevelon creek" I knew all hell was about to break.
I thought I'd have a problem with the free/paid battle pass but honestly this is the best way a battle pass can exist in a game. Get currency for it by exploring and playing the game or unlocking some in the free pass, which you get unlock credits for by playing the game. I'd still prefer no battle pass in games but this has been the best way so far.

i love the resourse management in this game it activates my brain so much. The way guns dont automatically reload yet you have a very limited supply of ammo makes me very concious of how i use my reloads and thats on top of the strategem system.

To back up the dev. You can earn the premium currency very fast just by playing the game.
Using the respawn hellpods to kill big bugs is so fun lol. I killed the Bile Titan that way as well, when we realized our current weapons were not killing it. Best feeling ever.
I absolutely want every single game from now on to have a "Game Journalist" mode and see how creative the companies can get with making things even easier than easy without just ending the game right when they start it.

@@Asageunit has more to do than loot and get domed from across the map after getting lost trying to find the exit. Extraction shooter is a pretty specific type of game, this is more like L4D2 than anything else, which would make it a horde shooter.

It's only hard solo when you go up in levels, ive been playing Medium-Challenging solo since the matchmaking is currently borked and it hasn't been that hard. Gets even easier when you get more unlocks.
