When I first heard about this a month ago I was talking to my brother about it, he is a FAA accident investigator out of the Las Vegas FSDO, he told me he had serious doubts they would get permission to attempt this. I can tell you the FAA really gets upset when you ignore one of those letters. I was thinking that if the skydiver makes a mistake when he gets close to the aircraft, getting a face full of propeller was a real possibility. The whole thing seemed stupid to me.
People like them make me think that maybe I am not THAT bad at being a responsible adult with common sense after all... And I gotta say, if Red Bull was my energy drink of choice, I would change it after this video
I blame RedBull for this. Really dumb, as was the one with the two cars doing drifting. Thanks!
Happy World Pilots Day Captain! We All Are Here To Support You No Matter What
900k subs soon
Hope so…)))
Did we just not through this crap with Jacobs ditching a plane and now these clowns?!! Red Bull needs to go down for this? Unbelievable!!!
What Jacob did is not comparable. This is a planned stunt by 2 proffesionals with safety measures in place. If you would see what those redbull pilots are capable of and the crazy stunts they do you would understand. These guys can land a plane on top of a 20x20 meter skyscraper.
Happy Pilots' day captain! Also take care, wish you a peaceful sky!
Many thanks 🙏❤️🙏
Nice video, I think that those types of stunts are great (if they don’t damage anything or make bad things to somebody) I think that if you are going to do something risky, you have to study a lot and ask the autorices before doing it. Here in Guatemala we had a similar case, a very experimented acrobatic pilot was called to do some stunts. But it wasn’t in an airport or in a spacious place, it was in a small speedway near some mountains, he didn’t asker the authorities or studied the terrain and if he could do the stunts, everything was dine since he started doing some loops and because of the terrain he crashed and sadly died one or two days after the crash. In conclusion, as you said, you have to do what authorities say and prepare and organize well for making some stunts. Stay safe, I love your videos.🇺🇦💪🏻🇺🇦💪🏻🇺🇦💪🏻🇺🇦💪🏻🇺🇦💪🏻🇺🇦
Thanks for the story... Sorry about the pilot...
@@PilotBlogDenys Thank you and thank you too for uploading these kind of videos even during hard times, I really appreciate you, stay safe, you are the best.
@@richid7820 Your story is interesting. It illustrates the effects of adding layers of risk: 1. Unfamiliar terrain, 2. Mountainous terrain, 3. Unfamiliar with local weather patterns. Piloting in ideal conditions is risky. Stunt piloting, even if one is an expert, increases the risk. I would think that a stunt pilot that isn’t a complete pendejo would spend time flying and surveying the area he plans to fly.
@@MarcosElMalo2 Yea, you are right, if the pilot would made a little research of the terrain and other stuff, probably he would continue flying today, but because he didn’t, now he is dead. Thank you for the comment. Saludos
Hmmmm. Several thoughts on this so I'm just going say it how I see it, no sugar-coating.🙈🤔🕵 Firstly, RIP to yet another poor innocent aircraft who lost its life because of selfish human EGO. There is just no excuse for it. It wasn't an 'accident' it was a 'careless'. 'Shit Happens' is not a 'get out of jail' card for dumbass choices of behaviour. *If you play stupid games, you win stupid prizes*. Secondly, to be fair, even though another GOOD honest plane perished, there is still a key difference between this and Idiotface Planekiller (T.J. his name isn't worthy of mention 🤮🖕🤮). Here the difference is that these guys clearly didn't actually intend to lose their plane - unlike the other effwit. This goes in their favour... UNTIL we consider that they chose to ignore the FAA denial letter and deliberately contravene officially acceptable standards of aeronautical conduct. Therefore they SHOULD experience some kind of penalty/penance for the loss of that plane, costs of/investigation recovery etc and the arguably irresponsible behaviour itself. Thirdly, that bull$h!t stunt that RedBull (RedBullsh!t) pulled in Kyiv, which damaged the beautiful historical/established public space reeeeeally pi$$ed me off. I pretty much hate RedBull now even though I was never a fan of them to begin with. That behaviour is just straight-up disrespectful, contemptuous behaviour (or as Aussies might say it's complete 'flog' behaviour). Stay awesome Denys, ya bloody legend! Love ya heaps!😁🥰✈ Thanks for your insightful content lately...your work ethic is amazing. Also, honourable mention to the satirical thumbnail of this video too... very clever and funny, I see what you did there hahaha. 😅😏😏😏
Best thumbnail i saw in a while 👍
😅
Cool video captain much love from N.Y.
Happened upon this channel. Professional and interesting.
Good video as always 👍🇺🇸🇺🇦
Trevor Jacob approved lol 😂
Hello Denys, I just discovered your pilot channel - through MentourPilot! I have been watching and commenting on your WAR coverage channel and I sent you huge props for both of your channels! (see what I did there... props?) I like F1 but I have not been a huge Red Bull fan. Now that I see their total disrespect for the Kyiv incident (and ignoring the FAA letter) I want nothing to do with them in any way. But I would not have known - were it not for you Captain Den! I had to repost the following comment - because I think it is SO GOOD - that simply 'liking' it was not enough IMO. I love your work Sir. And from BC Canada - I wish you clear skies! Here's what another viewer said - that I TOTALLY agree with. Hmmmm. Hi Denys!!)) I looked at this with surprise😲Crazy....then I'd rather stay on the grond with our Max Verstappen (Red Bull) haha) 😘 But.....many thanks for your effort👍👍....Dear Denys.....I wish you all.....Peace...Love and Warmth on this earth❣🌏❣.......Stay Safe 🙏💙💛🙏💗....X Betsy.....

Nice video 👍
They didn’t have a good back up plan. The pilot that was able to regain control of the plane should have picked up the other pilot and dropped him off at the spinning plane before it crashed. That’s what Bugs Bunny would have done.
I can imagine Wile E.Coyote being somehow involved in that scenario.
Even better, just force pull/fly right into the cabin. It worked for Leia, and she was unconscious!
Avaition rules information about all thanks official channel pilot blog🇺🇦❤
Nice
I live in Colorado. You can’t wing suit from the Rocky Mountains because the terrain doesn’t permit it even though the Rockies go as high as 14,000 feet. Yes there may be places you could pull it off but generally speaking there really isn’t very good enough terrain for it or to get to it. I used to be a sky diver but was never wing suit certified but a friends brother is. I think it takes something like 250 jumps to 350 jumps before you can get certified. And there are places here in the United States where you can do it but there are not to many places you can wing suit BASE jump unless you get special permits.
Thanks for that information! I heard there are some legal restrictions for that…. Plus terrain itself. Thanks for watching this video till that moment. Usually people don’t watch full video 😅 Stay awesome ❤️✈️
@@PilotBlogDenys, I enjoy your videos. Also, I hate to see what is happening right now in your Country. You and your people are all in my prayers! Slava Ukraini!
Red Bull is austrian. So it's kinda a shame.
This was about 20 miles from my house. Check out the bottom of page 2 where they state the idiot's reason for wanting the exemption. "media and sponsor commitments" Yeeeeesh!!!
Hopefully they’re gonna go after the sponsors as well as the pilots.
They’ve definitely got the media attention. They’ll make some sponsors of other stupid stunts like this, run the other way! Insurance companies will ensure you see the clause of intentionally crashing as a none covered coverage! I’m glad that these guys did this failed stunt where there’s lots of open desert terrain so the general public was in no way of being harmed. Like other commentators I this this stunt isn’t quite the same as the other idiot, not going to say his name since he’s not worthy of extra attention. So it’ll be interesting what the FAA will do to these pilots. While both did wrong by losing control of a aircraft, both getting punishment, but could the FAA impose a harsher punishment on the one pilot since he never regained any control this causing a act of intentionally crashing a aircraft? Just wondering if that’s a possibility that the FAA could or would do? Would have it made the Guinness book of world records had it been a successful stunt? Hmmmm
Can you react to fligth dubai 981
Greetings Captain.
Love the content!! Slava Ukraine 🇺🇦
Geroyam Slava!
People are crazy right now
So there are another two licenses to be confiscated….
Denys, the stunt was clearly done in a most professional manner yet it would have been more reasonable to have a safety pilot remain in each aeroplane. However the fact is that the large and powerful Red Bull who was to benefit from the advertising defied the aviation authority which can not be excused. For this Red Bull should be made to pay a very heavy price.
What is sad is that the pilots involved did not exercise good judgement and defied the FAA. For that they will probably loose their licences but the mighty Red Bull company will get huge publicity out of this stunt without having to pay anything in penalties.
I'm thinking maybe the pilot of that plane that spiraled inadvertently pushed it off its planned trajectory as he jumped. Unfortunate. Anyway, at least they tried to get permission unlike that other guy... 🙄 But yeah, they shouldn't have done it after they got a clear denial letter. It seems they had some other safety measures in place, too, so... that's good. Still, it could have gone worse... I'm not sure yet what would be an appropriate consequence for this. On one hand, I imagine a temporary suspension of license would be ok here (compared to that other guy who definitely deserves a permanent revocation 😛). But on the other hand, just a temporary suspension might gives others the idea that, as long as they ask permission, it's ok to push through no matter what answer they get. Add: the more I think about it, the more I lean towards the harsher consequence...
It’s to bad that these guys weren’t able to have servo’s, like the kind you’d put in a RC model aircraft then have either a third plane or via a ground controller it be able to have some flight controls. Would the FAA have approved the stunt then? Or would’ve it helped in any way? Regardless I’m glad they had lots of desert keeping the general public safe from harm.
FAA said no, but they still performed the stunt
Can the FAA apply different fines, penalties or whatever on one of the pilots that didn’t make it back to a plane thus causing it to land safely. Punishment is/was earned by both pilots and so just curious if one can get charged differently then the other? Going to be interesting on the outcome the FAA since it typically takes them 2 plus years to get the final report regardless of the complexity. Slava Ukraine!
@@PilotBlogDenys very true. Like that idiot the FAA just took away his pilots license. (Won’t prevent him from flying though.) At least until he’d get caught, which is rare. I think in this case, they were stupid to go against FAA’s approval, I just think they aren’t in the same low class as the other idiot. It’s going to be interesting though on what the FAA will do to these two. Just thinking about it, but I’d think the NTSB could be involved in this stunt/crash? Hmmm
They lost their licenses for 1 year.
Umm pilot blog I didn’t mean to call you crazy. that people I am calling crazy
Everything always can go wrong. Plane without human pilot (autopilot can't handle all emergencies) is a very bad idea. Personally once because of one small mistake in electrical schematics in hospital, I turned off life support systems - which was used in that time... Not all UPS are working (maintenance...) but I was extremely lucky to not kill anybody in that day. And aaa yes, electric engineers in hospital got much much bigger responsibility than doctors - with much less money.
What time do you want to crash😂😂😃😃😃😆😆😆😁😁
I do not like this kind of stunts which are violating rules and since Trevor I cannot laugh at all. A Cessna is not a UAV. Who can asure that the airplane does not fly 100´s of miles uncontrolled. Really stupid and Red Bull should think it over who to sponsor. At the end FAA and EASA will punish us (the pilots who accept and follow the rules).
How CRAZY this is where has the SAFETY GONE in Aviation, Makes me Laugh when Elon Musk has issues obtaining SPACE X permission to launch his mind blowing rocket adventures,
