With The Contract DLC Rockstar has made some changes to the Tuners DLC and it's REP system. Because of this the method in this video is now the fastest way to rank up in Tuners DLC and the fastest way to earn REP in GTA Online.

Not to sound ungrateful but this really should have been the case since the start tbh. I have more or less given up on Tuners (and personally I find races EXTREMELY boring) so I wasn't itching for this change but it is definitely welcome. Maybe I'll even go back and do the contracts I didn't do because I didn't play them all. Doing Auto Shop deliveries might also be a nice bonus for rep because they're very consistant in terms of spawns and they're pretty easy to do so long as you can drive straight. All these methods were originally bugged for me and I wasn't getting any rep at all but they're working now it seems and I've personally been taking to doing them on the side while waiting out short cooldowns on the new missions. The deliveries won't earn a ton of rep but compared to how people were ranking up before, they're already a far better way🤣🤣🤣

They now need to do this with (Oh god forgive me) Arena War stuff. I somehow landed in a glitched out session recently where the round was overe but you were able to spin the wheel as long as possible, after 2 hours of spinning, I only ranked up 5 to 6 times, and I'm below lvl 200
Arena War is the worst update ever. So boring and it takes forever to level up.

I haven’t played the arena war content that much, if at all, so really where else could you earn rp for that system? At least with the car meet, there are a couple legit ways to earn rep apart from races.
Oh yeah. This is a video I was looking for but not expecting after the most recent update. Already looking forward to it.
The contracts were (and still are) my favorite part of the Tuners DLC and I was upset we couldn't get rep from it but now, we can and I may grind more contracts than I ever did before. Sure, it's still not as much as Cayo Perico but it's still good money nonetheless and each contract is different so it's not technically doing the same thing repeatedly every hour. You could get Prison and UD in one hour, Lost and ECU in another, etc. so it won't be as boring as the same approach to Cayo Perico every time.
Now to fix the Arena Points so they can be earned elsewhere or solo.

I guess my game plan is to play the crap out of the Agency contracts to get the safe's capacity up, and then I'm playing these contracts, which I haven't even touched yet.
Currently I’m grinding to Rank 184 to unlock the last Calico livery. Which is based on Castrol Tom’s Racing Team. Super nostalgic because it reminds me of Gran Turismo. Specifically 1, 2, and A-Spec (3). As of now I’m Rank 180. Onward and upward! 😎👍 This change will also really help my second character. My second character is Claude from GTA3 and all he has is an Auto Shop and a Low Tier Apartment.
Just keep prank calling Merryweather to sort of skip in-game dialogue. I've been doing that for years when I just wanted to listen to my music while doing missions. The whole call doesn't have to go through either, just have to hear it ring then u can hang up. It'll skip a good chunk of the dialogue, It doesn't do sentence by sentence lol, more like the whole current conversation. You have to try it to see how much dialogue it is, but it'll help to know what your shortcut to Merryweather on your phone is.
I love this new system very much, the tuners contract missions are fun to do, and now with the added bonus of REP, it makes the amount you make worth because now the rest goes into REP
I'm a huge racer but this is nice to have another method to grind in between races 💯
another surprise didn't expect rockstar fixing this gave up hope getting all the princess bubblegum liveries but this gives me hope now
The other downside is that this destroys any remaining motivation anyone had to jump into the street or pursuit race playlists. I would still spend some time there since it was the only way to grind out rep for the car meet, but now that contracts are much faster, and auto shop deliveries and exotic exports are readily available, I won't be going back there anymore for rep grinding that's for sure. I'll probably still go back to practice, try to get good though.
People would still do races to win the prize ride.
To be fair, the street races were short lived to begin with. There wasn't enough of the newer street races for them not to get repititious and the classic street races didn't award rep.
I race for fun and lap times, and I never cared about rep, I honestly hate when hosts make 1 lap races, kills the joy. It really breaks my heart to hear that for some people the only reason to race is farming rep 😖

Yeah i do like the change to the Rep system after the recent DLC before this DLC it took a long time to level up your Rep.
That is a pretty good change, not gonna lie. Now i see way more point in grinding the Tuners DLC contracts, since leveling up isn`t painfully slow anymore. Great job from Rockstar with this change.
Don’t get me wrong, I like playing GTA and it’s currently my most played game of all time. However, locking car liveries and clothing items behind absurd ranks is… absurd. Why can’t we earn rep and SPEND that rep to pick and choose what we want? It really takes the freedom out of an open world game that’s supposed to have endless possibilities. You can argue that it allows more skilled players to flex their rank, but let’s be real. Nobody cares. We just want cool stuff without devoting our lives to a game.

exotic cars apawn is static for each session, and it takes 1.5-2 hours to deliver all 10 cars, but u can do it only 1 time per day

As soon as the contract starts press ESC (go in the pause menu). I don't know if they patched this, but before the new DLC this will cause the Sessanta call to not trigger (while you can still continue the mission). However this is true only for the "first section", as soon as you reach a checkpoint you'll hear these 2 again. Not much, but at least for some time you can enjoy your music in peace 🤣

The rp levels required to be able to use wheels etc are so stupid though. Considering doing contracts again but these two tuner dlc people make me want to deinstall gta. Also just make me spend a million to buy the rp. I want to get over it, same with arena war rp. Allow us to use what is in the game and focus on the latest dlc. Wish I was aware of the rp glitch when it still was a thing

What about the time trial and head to head in the car meet? Did I miss those mentioned? Assuming you have 2 people and both start them to help beat the cooldown. Neglible loading screens and very fast to complete.

We managed to reach 3000 rep points per hour. Thats 10x faster. Start crew session. Start CEO. Let a friend join. Your friend takes a tank and stays at airport. Start the vault job. Friend destroys the heli. 50 rep points. This is repeatable. From board to board is 1 minute. Im currently at rep lvl 855 and this method is going to push the last rep points insane fast.

I think we can all agree that this is exactly how it should have been from the start of the LS Tuners update in the first place😫 but hey at least we finally got there in the end and it's a very welcome 'Quality of Life' update in the process, making those extra AutoShop based things more worthwhile for the extra Rep rewards outside of the LS Car Meet itself! But damn that's an insane amount of AutoShop Contracts you'd have to play for Rep level 1000 and a TON of money you'd be making in the process of that grind!🤯😂👍

Now after agency . Do payphone hit after or before the contract with assasination bonus 85k per 20 minutes so you get autoshop rp + decent amount of money 2nd best if you ask me after cayo perico. Solo it takes about 1 hour to do 2 contract + payphone hit.

Do you earn tuner rep if you are just working as associate to finish the prep missions/finales as well?
I tested it myself with a friend and it turns out that you are rewarded (probably) the same amount as associate. This works with prep missions and finales, not with exotic export or tuned car sale
Does anyone else struggle to find the UD Contract since the update has released? I feel like R* may have removed it because it’s the best paying one.

I played UD a few times since the update. I remember because on one there was a troll and had to get the other player to vote kick him from mission.

i tried to deliver a legendary car but no icon appeared on the map to deliver it and so i blew it up since i could not save it. it was a black kamacho with weird bar doors i think.
I got up to lvl 130 when it was double money and got rep for wearing a shirt. I didn't even do anything just waited in the lobby in fact I'm doing it right now.

250,000 is the cap for the safe. You get 500$ for every 5 contact missions you complete. 50,000 is the max you can get and it will take you 500 contact missions to get there.
Like many, I think it should've already been the case since Tuners came out. I mean, Tuners has been my favorite update so far. We got something that feels like GTA and not Saints Row and two of the best Mustang models in my opinion. I like the new Contract DLC, it adds new story to GTAO, gives us an update on Franklin's life from the man himself, Lamar roasts him again, the Imani Tech, etc. But even a new storyline with Dr. Dre that follows up from his minor appearance in Cayo Perico just doesn't have the feeling Tuners gave me. Though both updates in a sense bring the game closer to it's roots, Tuners was more straight forward. If they would've implemented us getting Car Meet rep outside of racing, more people would've kept playing until the Contract hit.

I started earning only like 2 levels every 4 and a half hours afk, which method do you use ? Where do you go afk? Im at lvl 51 and its taking too long to reach lvl 85

It does take skill to stay on your opressor whilst shooting npc's. Those mf'ers dont miss and their bullets hit you even if youre on the other side of the map.

Looks like rockstar patch the glitch where you back your MOC to the LS car meat And then drive your car into the back of MOC spammimg the D. pad Now it says if you park to close your unable to enter the MOC find and you location.

I still feel like the whole XP based Reputation system should be done away with, and replaced by guaranteed level increases for doing _anything_ related to Tuners content. Like you should gain a level for visiting the Car Meet and doing activities there in a single day, or every time you deliver Auto Shop cars. But if you want to level up fast, then winning Street/Pursuit Races and completing Auto Shop Contracts would be the places to go, as they would reward more levels. Same for Arena War. The XP based Arena Points system coupled with RNG unlocks (which include Trade Price for *CLOTHING,* mind you) is not worth the grind, and should be replaced with a system where you rank up for completing rounds/matches, with the rewards being *doubled* for wins, and perhaps award bonuses for playing consecutive matches.
Would be useful if I wasn’t already 1000 haha but I’m glad it’s here now

I just have the entire interface glitching, so sometimes in free roam, or in the agency or worse, in a mission, I can’t interact with anything, no weapons, no hiding behind walls and crates and no chance to complete it. Made me lose a mission because of that glitchy stuff

Btw I think the UD (Gold bullions) auto shop contract is gone. Probably an honest mistake/glitch made by the devs.

People are really sleeping on doing scramble and head to head, back to back. Trading wins on those with another player with open wheel vehicles will earn you 117 rep every 8 minutes(including countdowns and cooldowns) And dont forget the 20 rep you earn every 4 minutes for being in the car meet....
