HOW DARE YOU! / Haulover Speed & Power Edition
When sorting clips from Haulover inlet, instead of doing the daily compilation thing, I had to put together a video featuring all the bad dog quints and quads, put some big boats with serious horsepower in here as well for good measure. Enjoy!

I love how excited that guy was! Hilarious! Good for him to still have that ability! Some people don’t...
7:03 you have an amazing microphone, you picked up that guy's voice perfectly. "I WATCH IT ALL THE TIME".
ChrisCo Hey yeah I hope he sees himself and in this video and comments haha
How do u know it didn't come from behind him or next to him?
Jck Dnls because he puts his hands up to his face right as he says it
That was cool
I've been waiting for that for 7 videos now. I knew it.
7:03 Yes, you do have a lot of fans! great videos as always
thanks!
What most people don't realize is that you can get those high performance boats really cheap because the maintenance on those engines is insane. The end of the line is about 300 hours, and that's a full rebuild, both top and bottom end, on 2 or more motors. Most people sell those boats before that and you can pick them up for way less than half the cost new when close to hour limit.
I find these videos oddly entertaining, especially during winter in Wisconsin.
Yes, I'm with you. Cleaning up my Seadoo Challenger, waiting for nice weather, and looking at these videos is painful and uplifting at the same time.
I'm right there with ya too and I'm only about 45 minutes from Haulover inlet.
It’s winter again
Watching a midnight express open up in any seas is a treat.
I watch this inlet to see how the variety of boats handle it. It's my favorite part. Thanks ZZP for providing me the entertainment!
Can't beat the howl of an ole 2.5merc screaming off the rev limiter but those 400r's sound sweet. That 32 cat was sweet!
Agreed!
The cost of fuel consumed during the few moments some of these big boats appeared here is more than I paid for my boat.
Ok thanks champ...
Great stuff, as usual ZZP! Here's a bit more technical info for everyone on one of these monsters. This Pershing yachts' speed is due to the fact that she runs surface drives through gearboxes attached to the big MTUs. They are more efficient for this hull spec, with increased maneuverability, increased steerage when backing, reduced drag and reduced draft. At cruise and above, the propellers are halfway in the water, negating cavitation. They run so quietly because the engine exhaust is discharged through the bottom of the hull into the water. One downside of these drives is that docking is more difficult, necessitating the bow and stern thrusters. Also, they require more maintenance than a standard propeller & shaft due to more moving parts. The performance boats also run the Mercury NXT, Bravo, M6, M8, and Arneson Surface Piercing Drives which are like a cross between a stern drive and a surface drive. Plenty of internet pics to view the difference.
great details, appreciate you laying that out, learned alot!
I absolutely LOVE the lines of the Scouts theres a 35 footer in ponce that just got repowered with triple 300 verados it's a beauty!!
I imagine the fuel dock does a pretty good business in that area!⛽️
They buy car dealerships with petty cash.
Ken Greene i can’t even imagine how lucrative it would be to own a fuel dock/bulk fuel company in somewhere like Miami or Ft. Lauderdale or Monaco, some of those huge yachts take on over a hundred thousand dollars of fuel at one time
@@grandmasmalibu Such a waste of the world's resources and polution of the planet is scarey in the extreeme!
Seafariireland ehh I don’t really think it’s a waste, they do burn pretty clean with all the new epa requirements
@@Seafariireland your spelling of the word scary is even scarier
That 57 azimut is a beast. I’ve worked on the 50’ and it’s a beauty.
Love watching these lovely boats on Zip Zap. Thank you for all the time and effort it must take you.
Same
Love all the footage, but your channel looks so crisp, great camera work and gear!
thank you for your excellent work. sooo relaxing to watch.
Appreciate all your videos, but this one was especially fine! The motor sounds and some first time sights (for me) added to it greatly!
thanks.
Midnight Express is my dream boat. They are really getting popular. Those small yachts were burning fuel! Several looked fast to be so big. “I watch it all the time”! You have fans everywhere. He was genuinely happy to see you!
Loved that 36 Skater & 43 MTI
6:57 dude was so excited lol
That was beautiful keep it coming my man...
Love the TOP SPEED stats in the descriptions.
Gotta do more lol
1:30 typical Florida afternoon t-storm coming. These videos make me want to go on vacation.
I like your videos, I grew up on Haulover beach when it still had a pier. I had so much fun growing up there.
Love the Scout 380 😍
Great light on these. You could get some spectacular stills with the skyline background.
Really appreciate the boat descriptions and specs!
Love the 4k thanks!
Some crazy dream boats. Thanks for sharing.
I'm more interested in catamaran sailboats but these power boats are beautiful too! Greta, eat your heart out!
I made a sailboat video.. kzhead.info/sun/apqlhruGppehlYE/bejne.html
So many beautiful boats with gorgeous profiles. Granted, there are some luxurious large motor yachts in this video, but I think my favorite is Cigarette 42 Huntress. I've never owned a boat but I have always been attracted to the sleek lines, just mesmerising. Best videos!
That 39 top gun limited 4:29 sounds like it's powers by a rolls Royce Merlin out of a spitfire😂
Had to revisit this video!! These boats are on another level.
yes they are.
it amazes me how many extremely high-end offshore fishing boats go through that inlet and not a single one of them has a fishing rod on board....haha
ROD LOCKERS
@@morgansminions3012 No, half these guys buy quad and quint powered outboars just to brag about them.
Only extremely high-end offshore fishing boat that I remember (off the top of my head) was the SeaHunter. Most of the other center consoles such as scouts, midnight express, nor techs are luxury boats which were not even configured for serious fishing. These type of boats are typically bought by ppl who like to cruise or hand out at the sand bar. Beyond that, I see plenty of boats with some serious fishing gear all the time in vids like this one.
@@Herb___ Yea, if you want to fish, you buy a Sea Hunter, Yellowfin, Freeman, etc... If you want to play and bar hop you buy a Nor-tech, Outerlimits, etc...
I've seen dozens of sea hunters and yellow fins on this channel and most of them don't have a single fishing rod.
those scout 420's are just amazing
Love your video. I'm from Michigan. Live in CA. Even though the boats are put up now cause of Winter. In the Summer..The boats are busy!!
First time I see Haulover Inlet this calm. Seems to attract a different type of boaters.
Great video, nice job!
That was legendary that guy on the boat said I watch you all the time that was awesome I bet you you had chill through your body when that guy say that🤘😎🤘
It’s a dream to be able to afford that lifestyle. One day I hope to drag the 1986 Chris craft stinger 202 to Haulover. And as the motor tears through the hull from the rotted stringers, I’ll clench my fist, look up to the sky, and say “I did it”........love the channel.
loved the video,i do like the azimuth boats, thanks for sharing
Happy New Year 🎊 See ya Next Year👍
You must know these guys cause the 43 mti has about 9 different optional engine packages and Teague is not the usual the most often ordered is the 1100 merc second is the 1350.
yep, after 6 years of doing this, you can get really good at image searches and knowing the boats.
Love the Midnight Express boat but it sure sounded funny slapping the water like that.
Those ultra performance boats sound crazy!
As always thank you for the video . My favorite is the Pershing . I am amazed at the rooster tail that drive system produces . Must be making some amazing torque .
Pershing is where it is at, although i was somewhat surprised that they have such limited range, i guess that is the compromise for speed.
@@ZipZapPower I hope this is not a dumb question but is the Pershing Fiberglass or aluminum for she looks like aluminum .
not a dumb question, they are fiberglass / GRP (glass-reinforced-plastic)
That X2 midnight express... 🤤
“I watch it all the time” 😂
Fun video. Thanks!
I've been scratching my head for awhile now at the explosion of the center console market down there. $1 mil for a boat with no range and no cabin to speak of is utterly insane, unless you consider that that's mostly the spot that pro athletes and the Uber rich party.
Technology. Outboards have grown to the pt where they can handle these larger boats, at higher speeds and cheaper costs. It combined 2 markets: speed boats and party day boats Practicality with speed.
Haha. Gotta love the guy in the orange shirt who says he watches all the time. 😂
Nice rumble seat Azimut @7:20
That is so awesome, nice boats.
Hi ZipZap, nice video.. Thanks I needed that.. B safe...
Pretty cool to hear the guy say he watches your videos all the time!!
Great job bud. Greetings from germany.
Love this place.
You should have called out the huntress blaring GNR!!! You could here Axl’s voice on the way out and back in!🤘🏻
I guess I'm a really old guy at heart 'cause I sure wish Don Aronow was still around and that Donzi was still as highly regarded as they perhaps once were.
I'm with ya' bud! When I was a kid my dad had several Donzi's, but I was a Formula fan myself. Had a 272 SR-1 for 18 years!
The sound from the MTI cat!
Just chilling. Mainly listen, whilst working in the car. Had this playing the background at above average levels - bass levels turned up. I understand outboard's are efficient and perform well but the v8 growl, never gets old. My ears perked up at... 2:33 4:30 5:44 8:00 8:50 Sounds so good. Not sure what you're doing to capture the audio but Dang. Well done. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks! just a high quality mic setup and the right settings. Happy New Year!
Those Cigarettes sound sweet. No body builds boats like you guys. Great channel, 🇦🇺🇺🇸🇦🇺🇺🇸.
Could watch this for hours!
Neil Cochran , me too 👍👍👍
Guys your vid are awesome , regards from Australia
thanks! Love the seafood, no litter and great friendly people! l've filmed at Mooloolaba kzhead.info/sun/gbyQYth6sKWQY5s/bejne.html
Yeah we love u down here in the Virgin Islands St Thomas keep up the awesome job
thanks! I've been to St Thomas, love it, great views and beautiful water.
It's been to long.. I'm playing hooky still recovering from illness, what better way to recoup then catch up and start binge watching some ZipZap tv!! Damn that doug wright sounds Bitchin!! And you gotta love that sound of the Cigarette!!
The perishing 62 must have some huge turbos!!
I think by a pretty large margin speed and power is my favorite thing to watch as funny as a stuff can be or scary depending on the stuff seeing a big boat at or close to full tilt is just impressive and I could watch and listen to them all day
I'm with you. speed, power, money is where it is at.
Yeah. Fuck the planet
@@Bubbles99718 wow that’s out of left field nobody is having intercourse with the planet sir
@@chrismartin6544 Evidence to the contrary
Sir..... I love your videos. My dad is very sick and I have been taking care of him for a few months. We love boats. He has a 24 Bayliner Sunbridge Cierra..... I think you could try going live now... maybe using a personal hotspot. Since my dad has not gone outside in a few weeks...he would love to see what’s going on at the inlet. Love you man! 😁❤️🙏🏻
kzhead.info/sun/lNN_ZdKerod6m4U/bejne.html Haha
Hi, I'm very touched to hear that these little vids give a little bit of joy. The live stuff is tricky to get quality right, I have done it before and not been happy with the results.
ZipZapPower -yeah Last week I cleaned up my dad’s boat really good inside and out. Yesterday, I made a joke saying that me and my brother went to Haulover Inlet with his boat and just got back. He smiled and laughed..... he does not usually do that. The videos I hope inspire him to want to get better and get back out on the water. We are in Orlando Florida. We like Ponce Inlet.
As always. U rock
That sweet ass challenger has stolen my kids dreams and future, it was totally worth it ! Rad boat ! F n A
Coral Gables 🌴🇺🇸 ENJOYABLE , as always 👌 🏄
Awesome boats and video doesnt do these boats justice....they are BIG!
That 39 Cigarette Top Gun unlimited sounds bad ass! Must have some serious "monster block" engines... note, the absence of blower intakes for superchargers. I love naturally aspirated big blocks!
That mangusta is rippin!
Every time she comes through the inlet, she rips, U WISH is the biggest and baddest at Haulover
9:03 that's some James Bond Villain shit right there
3:53 My favorite boat of them.
These center consoles that are wide to trailer where do most leave their boat? On a lift in the canal next to the backyard or do they leave them at a boat storage facility? I mean can they lift 36ft - 60 ft. boats out of the water? I would imagine that would quite a feat especially on a 60 ft midnight express or similar boat.
There's some serious money in that town!
Miami is an acronym for money is a major issue
Timothy Azbill 😂😂
I have a nice little custom 13’ aluminum fishing boat with a 1962 Evinrude 28hp outboard, I get mad that I go thru 12 gallons of gas on a weekend fishing trip...
Midnight Express 43 Open has a fighter jet attitude.
Are all you guys fighting for the best spot to shot videos on that jetty? There are like 4 or 5 of you and you all do a great job!
Those boats are beautiful"!!!
Amazing how quiet some of them are?! Is that because of a new generation of outboard engines? Or is it as loud as usual on board of the boat?
The scout 53 with 4x350hp seems underpowered now!
Damn those are some badass boats bg
It seems like it would be hard to see over the bow on the faster boats as they bounce. How can you see what's in front of you? Is it as hard to see in front of you as it looks or does the way the camera show it, make it look more difficult than it really is? Love the Pershing's.
That Mangusta 105 IS just stunning yacht. And impressive fast for it's size. What was Azimut's model at 6:15? Looks also stunning.
That Mangusta is the biggest and best at Haulover. It is an Azimut Megallano 66, www.azimutyachts.com/azimutmagellano66.html
The inboard, that is...I'll add the Hustler Razor to that
1:41 be back later gonna go for a casual boat ride lol
Orange shirt guy is your biggest fan!
been loyal follower since the beginning
thanks, happy you are here!
Love the title LOL
Excellent title!
Thanks, i'm sure you get the reference.
5 seconds in and I realized my boat is a POS!
Lolol
Same here, I got a yammy 150 and go 45mph
I don't even have a boat.
Doesn't matter mate, it's yours
But you have a boat
Haulover exposes two things with brutality: Bad captains, and bad hull designers!
My old friends speeeeed and pooooower
I suddenly have an urge to go to a boat show. Haha.
Like that scout 420 LXF now need to see a Grady white 456 canyon.
The water was quite calm today.
