Turkish election victory for Erdogan leaves nation divided - BBC News

Recep Tayyip Erdogan's supporters are celebrating after Turkey's long-time president won Sunday's vote, securing another five years in power.
"The entire nation of 85 million won," he told cheering crowds outside his enormous palace on the edge of Ankara.
But his call for unity sounded hollow as he ridiculed his opponent Kemal Kilicdaroglu - and took aim at a jailed Kurdish leader and the LGBT community.
The opposition leader denounced "the most unfair election in recent years".

My wife is Turkish she says life is hard for the young adults who want to move aboard, she even tried to set up my cousin with her younger sister so she could move away lol.

However the people who live in the west and big cities are much more educated than those who are living in urban areas. The urban areas voted for erdogan but this effects the much educated people who want a better life quality. As a teenager going to a college here it's really hard to go along a day with the money in my pockets. I dont want this guy to make me poor and make himself richer anymore. He had to go but it seems like he will be the president until he dies. Really sad for Turkey indeed

But look at the position Turkey was in when he got into the driver's seat. He has made improvements, despite the challenges with the economy, which he largely inherited.
