In a remarkable game at Goodison Park on 5 February 2011, Louis Saha scored four times as Everton beat Blackpool 5-3. A real rollercoaster afternoon! Also on the scoresheet -Jermaine Beckford for the Blues; Alex Baptiste, Charlie Adam and Jason Puncheon for the visitors. Who remembers this one?

If I remember rightly, this happened the same day as Newcastle 4-4 Arsenal. That night's MOTD was ridiculous.
You're right, it did. I think it was a record for most Premier League goals scored in one day, 41 or something stupid
@@AlexMcMonnies That's the one! Think I might still have it stored on a hard drive somewhere...
I bet we were still last on MOTD
@@ben.1202 If you still have it stored, I beg you send me a copy. I've been looking for that episode for years
@@dammers03 You might be in luck - i think i still have the hard drive with it on!
I wouldn’t even mind conceding goals if we could still play games like this today
How good was that pass from Baines and finish from Beckford! Those were the days and I wish we had that spirit back again every week 🔵⚪️
Totally and I think Beckford would have done well with a second season.
Best striker we've had in the premier league era. Destroyed by injuries.
Lukaku
@@Andre-eo4xe saha couldve been better
@@Andre-eo4xeSaha was better
The PASSION we were missing right now
King Louis, what a wonderfully gifted player he was. He had it all, a shame injuries held back his career. I enjoyed seeing him in an Everton shirt.
Come on let's beat Lincoln tonight boys. Play a strong team because it's going to be tough. COYB
Tougher than we thought
Definitely tough game
Lucky they did play strong team, as much as I love Baines, may not have won without Digne. Wasn't keen on signing Iwobi but I was so wrong
Remember being at this game 8 years old one of my favourite games. I remember crying that we had gone down 3-2 to then being so happy that we went and win the game
The noise when Beckford scored👌🏻
I could never understand the reluctance of David Moyes over his indecision not to make Jermaine Beckford a regular up front. I remember the late goal he scored at the end of season game against the strong Chelsea side, after which Carlo Anchelotti was sacked by the club at Goodison. Even at Leeds Beckford could find the net. You can't coach these skills or wait for it to happen. Wayne Clarke was another natural finisher and could have scored many more goals for the blues, before losing out to Tony Cottee.
Haha I remember proper raging when Charlie Adam scored
2010 world cup was the best ever wc and first to happen in Africa remember that
Saha was great considering he came to us at the end of his career. Never did understand why we got rid of Beckford...
What a finish finish from Beckford
Brings goosebumps watching that . Im still struggling to move on from the Moyes era but someone please sit our fwds down and get them to watch some Saha goals . unbelievable footwork .
Love Louis Saha, Mad game just like Bournemouth
I was there. What a game!
What a performance from 'LEWIS' Saha
One of the best matches I've been to
Still feels strange seeing Blackpool in the Prem even know it was years ago as for Bournemouth yeah they was a shock to but i got used to it after a little while but Blackpool i never did maybe it's because they was only in it for 1 season.
what a team
Could do with Saha right now while we’re 1-1 against Lincoln at half time
And he did it against a blackpool side that had the double over Liverpool 😂 I’m a blackpool fan, love playing you in the pre season friendly that has become a regular one
Nice goal for Everton 💪 i love 💓 Everton from Indonesia
Superb, then Louis Saha was our number 8 and now.....
*CA com a 8 kkk Azideia..enfim..jogava muito💫🔥💯.*
On this weekend this was played it was most goal scored in one PL weekend
Best game for years that
Were the behind the scenes from villa everton!
Amazing game, what a team ... Compared to 2023. 😂
Oh yeah Jack Rodwell. One of those English players who were going to be the next big thing like Micah Richards and Jack Wilshere
From saha to no zaha
Remember the ref blowing up before Saha scored, he coulda had five. Great game though, after the third Everton goal went in you could visibly see Blackpool crumbling.
In fairness part of it was that we brought on an extra defender to make a back 5, which we'd not done all season. To say it backfired is putting it mildly. Tbf though my father said after the first goal went in that we'd concede five. He wasn't wrong 😂
Like the way Jason puncheon was the fella who went for a dump whilst playing against us 😂
Sahhaaaa!!!!
season ticket holder but seeing rodwell in this season showed the boy was clearly talented but and I stress this wasnt his fault he was just poorly advised but if you have the chance to play for a team that can win the league wouldnt you go of course ?
A striker who scores goals DCL won't score 4 if he lived till 100
LOLS
Keep the faith
Come on and look at him now. Still not 4 but two hat tricks in two weeks!
One of the best games I've been to . I owe the ref an apology well I owe who I thought was the ref on the night an apology because I thought it was probert and have slagged him off ever since so sorry Mr probert but Mr friend you ain't no mate of ours .
King Louis
Heitinga did not have The best of game in this one. Still a good player for us.
